That definitely didn't happen here. What's worse is that there are people who are actually defending that behavior, which leads me to wonder...what the fuck is wrong with the fighting game community?

The change itself isn't what bugs me as much as the fact that a whiny minority with a stupid opinion got their way yet again because they screamed loudly enough. I'm a pretty liberal guy, but I still think that political correctness is just out of fucking control in this country and people get way too easily offended nowadays. Sure, there's a line, but I think people should be able to just take a joke a little more often. When people go on crusades like this it just spoils everybody's fun. It's actually harder for me to enjoy her cameo now because my mind can't disassociate it from all the drama that surrounded it. Even if Derpy was mentally handicapped (she's not), was what happened in her appearance really so terrible? Was it really worth people getting so riled up over? It's not like she was drooling all over herself with a helmet and oven mitts on. She just bumped into some stuff and made a big mess. The world would be a much nicer place if so many people didn't take so much offense to such tiny things. Ultimately, though, that's a discussion for the politics thread. If we take my political views out of it and judge the clip on its own qualities...I still don't like it. It's not the fact that the voice was changed, but that the actress who did it was totally phoning it in. If Derpy ever talks again, which I kind of doubt will happen now, I hope like hell it doesn't sound like that.

Teaching abstinence just blows my mind on how much sense it doesn't make. Actually, I'll rephrase that: teaching abstinence-only sex ed in schools makes no sense to me. In what kind of deluded fantasy world do you live in if you honestly think that teens are gonna stop fucking just because you tell them to? Do I think teens SHOULD be having sex? Well, not really, no, but it's gonna happen, so they should at least be well-informed about contraceptives.

I was curious about the figures so I googled teen sex. After I finished with that I looked up statistics. The article says that 30% of teens are not active by that age, which is true...and which also means 70% of teens ARE active. Half of them have had oral sex, too, but 23% of them don't consider it sex. So I guess technically not everyone is doing it...just 7 out of 10 teenagers, so I dunno what kind of point this writer is trying to make.

We recently began building two new nuclear reactor plants here in the US, which is a big deal since they're the first ones in 30 years to be built. So it's a step in the right direction to see that at least some people are finally starting to see the positives of nuclear.

I'm not holding my breath for them to drop PSN store prices.

I read somewhere that the biggest users of energy are businesses. While its not a permanent solution, it would be a big help if more of them used solar panels on their roofs. I know of at least one major company that already does.

So the umd passport isn't coming to the west because psp games are "cheap" in the store. I don't think persona 3 or Dissidia 012 got the memo. Bastards.

I tried out the American Nightmare demo. I'll probably end up buying the game when I'm not already playing a bunch of other stuff. Or if it goes on sale. Whichever happens first, really.

They're saying gas prices could hit four dollars this summer. Four fucking dollars. That might not be a big deal to some people in Europe who are used to it, but over here people would lose their shit. Hell yes I'm in favor of alternative energy.
