  1. Yeah if you never saw the movies then you might be a bit lost. Still a good game, but it uses that terrible movement control scheme from Monkey Island that I hate. It's a little better, but not as good as the Sam and Max season 3 one.
  2. I did love PBF, but oh well...Right now I read Penny Arcade, PVP, Lackadaisy, and Dr. McNinja. It used to be more but I don't really follow comics that never update anymore. And several finished their runs.
  3. There was an icon at the bottom for posting updates but it's greyed out now.
  4. They were announced at the same time, but it will be a good while before Jurassic Park. No clue how they intend to do it. It's definitely the most mature license they've picked up. And dinosaur chases are a bit hard to convey in a point and click. Who knows. As far as Back to the Future goes, I love it. The writing is great and it's just like seeing a fourth movie. I don't wanna spoil it, but I'll just say that a bunch of the classic moments, lines, and gags from the trilogy are brought back for the new story. It had me grinning so many times.
  5. I keep getting images of Dr. Robotnick when I see your name.
  6. Yarf's inspirational story filled him with the power of the spirit.
  7. Hope the Steam version doesn't come with a free TF2 Delorean or something!
  8. Oh god, how could I have forgotten Dante's Inferno. And I could understand Da Vinci Code if it was a puzzle game, but I never played it so I really have no idea.
  9. Whenever a big movie comes out, studios scramble to make a game for it, knowing that it will probably sell pretty well. For some movies, whether the game is good or bad, it is as least conceptually sound. Aladdin is about magic and adventure, so that made a pretty decent game. Transformers was about giant fighting robots. That game was...less good, but at least it was appropriate. But some movies just do not fit the game world at ALL. There is nothing in the film to make you think "this should be a game." There was no game-like action and/or the story or structure of the film itself was incompatible with that medium. Going from next-gen games all the way back to atari, some films simply should not have even been attempted as games, but that didn't stop people. What are some that you remember? To start things off, I present you with Disney's Fantasia. Remember, this is not about BAD licensed games, it's about licensed games based on licenses that just plain aren't conducive to video games.
  10. I just got back from True Grit. It was...funnier than I was expecting it to be, but given who was at the helm, maybe I should have seen that coming. Good movie, though.
  11. I liked the power rangers game as a kid...
  12. Nah, those add-ons were still shit.
  13. Well I know they evolve, it's just that early or later, they all have stuff I think is crap and stuff I think is awesome all across the board.
  14. Ok, Back to the Future refuses to launch. Is anyone else having problems?
  15. That five dollar deal is on telltale's site, by the way. Not Steam.
  16. What if you buy a disc with DRM that has to be checked on a server every so often, and one day those servers no longer exist? And don't say pirating. That's not supposed to be a valid legal option. It's an ILLEGAL option, and I understand how DRM makes people feel and don't condemn them for that, but for the sake of argument piracy is off the table.
  17. Thanks. The funny thing about groups like Deftones, Tool, Nine Inch Nails and so on is that there are a lot of songs by them I don't like, but when there's a good one, it's DAMN good.
  18. Back to the Future is now out. Also, if you never played Sam and Max, you can get the entire first season today (ONLY today) for just five bucks. If you ever wanted to try it, you'll never get a better deal than that.
  19. 20 is too much. If it was 5 or maybe 10 I'd say yes, but unless you're REALLY into making creatures you'll see it all in a couple hours.
  20. Yeah but when you think about it, if you aren't giving orders, the game itself is, and bad AI is bad AI no matter whose finger is on the button.
  21. Bad AI isn't dependent on orders being issued by you.
