Dammit. I step away from the thread for 20mins to play some Rock Band and Bouchart beats me to the one screenshot I can recognize instantly!

Then mission accomplished. A childhood friend of mine had that game. I tried it once. It kinda sucked. hmmm... Ultima? Elder Scrolls?

I'm getting a Doom/Heretic/Hexen type vibe from the pic, but I don't think that's right.

Yeah, the MGS 3 HALO jump opening is pretty cool. Probably would've posted it myself if you hadn't already. But since you did, here's my entry. The first thing I think of when I read game opening isn't actually the beginning of a game, but rather an "opening video". The kind that usually plays either before the start menu or when you leave it on the start menu for a few minutes without pressing anything. Like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6xLfBcOC6w&feature=related I absolutely love that montage and especially that theme song. Whenever I pop in MGS 2, I cannot not watch it. But here's an entry more similar to the other ones This is only the opening cutscene, but my actual entry is the whole Tanker level of MGS 2. I played MGS 2 pretty late, so I knew going in that I'd be playing as Raiden. It didn't bother me that much. But the Tanker level is still one of the best parts of the game. Aaaand you play as Solid Snake, so that's always a plus.

Yeah, nothing for me today either. Which is ironic since I just got some extra cash so my sale budget has a bit more breathing room.

Sonic Advance ? Or is just Sonic good enough? That would seem way too obvious

Sequels you want to see! Also what they would fix!
toxicitizen replied to Chewblaha's topic in General Gaming Chat
Aren't those both "confirmed" to have sequels in the works? I know someone at EA said they had a small team working on Mirror's Edge 2. Though for The Darkness it was kinda weird. If I recall correctly, the game was outed by some comic book people. Anyway, a sequel that will never happen in a million years but that I'd love to see get made would be Psi-Ops 2. Goddamned game ended on a cliffhanger And not a good one either. It was like they just stopped making the cutscene. All that was missing was a voice over saying "tune in next week for a brand new episode!" I don't mind a cliffhanger in a game if they have a decent chance of making a sequel. But damnit, end it like a season finale of a TV show, not like a goddamned two-parter that plays mid-season where you just cut in the middle of a scene. /end rant -

Yeah if this doesn't get localized I'm going to be mad! I'm have no idea what the gameplay is like but I'm already prepared to absolutely love it

Kind of a long shot, but .. P.N. 03?

Was curious about The Ball, but I was pretty underwhelmed when I tried the demo. If you manage to play it today, let me know if the full game is better?

I've wanted a proper keyboard for ages. I'm currently using a pretty normal compaq one and I hate it because it's the only piece of my system that is white. Monitor? Black. PC Case? Black. Mouse? Black. Printer? Black. Hell, even my sound system is black and I've got my PS3 sitting on top of my desk. It just bugs me... Worst thing is, we do have a basic Dell black keyboard in the house, but the other PC doesn't have a damn PS/2 port, so I can't switch them. Anyway! Now that I've finally bought a proper mouse about a few weeks ago, keyboard will most likely be my next upgrade.

I'm not sure what came first. It was either Super Mario Bros the day my uncle walked in with a NES. Or it was the ColecoVision my aunt got from back when she worked for them, in which case pinpointing a first game would be impossible since we had dozens of them. Think we still have most of them, though I'm not sure whether or not the thing is still in working order.

Yeah was getting some poor FPS whenever I zoomed in or out or move the camera around so I did some research and the only solution I found seems to be to run it in software mode ... I'll keep looking, though. Because not being able to properly run such an old game with high settings is ridiculous. edit: well, just launched Steama and did my round of purchases for the day Tried it when it came out and loved it. Figured it was time I owned it. Wanted to try it ever since I heard good things about it when it came out for 360, though there never was a demo for PSN or the PC version, so I waited for the price to be right. 2.50$ is very right And I've been waiting for a good deal on this one for ages. I thought the first BIA games were good, but a bit dated. So I've actually been hoping for this one to feel more... modern, I guess.

I wouldn't mind a World War II setting, to be honest. Something like Nazi-occupied France could be awesome. The Saboteur wasn't a great game, but the setting was pretty cool. There's just something about WWII-era Europe that I really like. I love the setting but am kinda sick of WWII shooters like everyone else, so an AC game in that setting would be kind of awesome for me. Asia could also be pretty cool.

Well if we're being specific, then the Plasma Cutter from Dead Space is definitely a favorite of mine. I love how it's actually a mining tool and not a weapon. Also, if you upgrade it quickly, you can play the whole game using only it and never really need anything else. The Hidden Blades from Assassin's Creed are also incredibly satisfying to use. There's just something about casually walking to someone and stabbing them in the throat before they can even react that amuses me to no end. For a less game-specific answer, a good ol' silenced pistol is usually all I need. I'm also partial to an M16. When I see one in any game, I can't not pick it up. Bonus points if it's silenced

Well, I still consider Brotherhood to be Assassin's Creed 2.5 in the sense that the gameplay is almost identical to II and only slightly improved in some areas. I expect (hope) for the "true" ACIII to be as big of an improvement over II as II was over I. Took me about a month to finish the first AC, and for the last 25% or so, I had to force myself to play because I really wasn't into it anymore and I wanted to play something else but I didn't want to leave it unfinished (it was like the second game I played when I bought my PS3). But in comparison, when I finally started playing ACII about a month and a half ago, I literally couldn't stop playing. For a week, it was all I could play and I'd play at least 4-5 hours every single day. Usually more. ACB was just more of the same.

Well since I can't edit my post, I'm quoting myself and bolding the latest addition. I don't really foresee finishing anything else before 2011 starts. I'm mostly playing Fallout: New Vegas and being only 10 hours in and taking my sweet-ass time with the main quest, there is just no way I am completing that any time soon.

Yeah, I really love Oh and

I've wanted to get this ever since it became available on Steam a few months back. Glad I didn't get it for 10 bucks as soon as the sale began, though. Figured it might get a daily deal

Alright let's try not to forget any. on PS3 Heavy Rain Final Fantasy XIII God of War III Dante's Inferno Rock Band 1 and 2 (I guess you can't really complete those, but I played both to death) Assassin's Creed II Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood and on PC Call of Duty 2 (had played the original COD+United Offensive years ago, but I only played COD2 for the first time when I got it in a pack on Steam last january) Mass Effect 2 BioShock 2 Splinter Cell: Conviction Dragon Age: Origins ( started it in 2009 but only got around to finishing it like.. last june) Borderlands F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin Call of Duty: Black Ops Metro 2033 Oh and I'm two hours in the last episode of Tales of Monkey Island. Was actually hoping to finish that tonight.

Ha! I played the entirety of Borderlands as a single-player game. Really didn't feel like I was missing out on anything either. Left 4 Dead, though, that's another story. That game is just boring in single-player. At least Borderlands doesn't force retarded bots on you. I'm mainly a single-player gamer. I play games like Call of Duty for their sp campaign more than anything else. I'll try the mp of a game, of course. But I rarely play it for more than a few hours. Notable exceptions were COD4, which I got pretty late but still played over 10 hours of MP. Killzone 2, I must've played over 15 hours of mp. Thought it was pretty good and I loved how the matches were structured. More recently, I got Black Ops for the sp campaign as usual but I found myself really digging the mp. I skipped MW2 so it felt kinda new and different from COD 4 Think I've played it for about 20 hours over a period of a month. But then I got Civilization V and just kinda stopped playing.

I'd be up for some ACBro or Uncharted. Did D-K fix his internet? Also, did we usually play in the evening? Because that was middle of the afternoon for me. I'm asking because when you say "tomorrow evening" I'm not entirely sure what time that would be for me

Just bought one of the indie bundle on Steam. Got it mainly for the game Uplink, which I remember loving years ago. The bundle was the same price as getting the game separately, so yeah. Plus Twin Sector was in it, and I've been curious ever since playing the demo a while back. It's actually the second indie bundle I get so far. I never really paid attention to the indie games selection on Steam, but after buying a few during the treasure hunt sale I was surprised by how good some of them were. I'm also considering Serious Sam Gold. I already have First Encounter HD but not the second one. Plus the bundle is the only way to get the originals and I think I'd have an extra copy of First Encounter to gift.
