  1. Microsoft, why is your Xbox 360 wireless adapter so expensive?

So they could claim the system was cheaper than a PS3 and then make it much more expensive to have comparable features...

I got the standard b/g adapter for mine, but I was sure irritated since my PSP, DS, Wii, PS3, and even my damn iPod all had Wi-fi from day 1.

To keep me away from impulse-buying Xbox Live. They're doing a VERY good job so far.

  2. Over the summer I spent a lot of time with David Hasselhoff's agent/publicist. Hes a musician too. It was very hard to not make fun of how Hasslehoff was a hit in Europe... very hard.

How'd that come about? I want to feel like that's a somewhat big deal? Is it?

Well, I had an internship in San Francisco, and the people I was living with, one of them is a music writer. They are the parents of my friends (now) wife. He was friends with that family and played piano at my friends wedding. So he came into town for about a week as I was living with the family. Over all I would've thought it was a bigger deal than it was, but it was very casual.

As far as a big deal? It never felt like a big deal, but the guy was very talented and we talked about David Hasselhoff and how hes big in europe

  3. As stated in the video, co-op missions will take place in the same places that you'll be going to in singleplayer anyways. Like singleplayer, success in co-op will contribute to your singleplayer ending IF YOU WANT IT TO. They've repeatedly stressed that the co-op is entirely optional. Yes, and people like badbassman39 don't seem to understand this. I watched the same video. How come we are coming out with different understandings of it? I feel like they repeated everything in the video twice. If you read my last one, you would see that I understood that it was optional, but if you choose to play co-op then it affects your single player game... I understand it, but you seem to not understand what I am saying. AGAIN: Co-op is 100% optional, but if you play co-op it affects single player. That is what I am saying. I NEVER said that it is required and dont understand why I am being accused of saying that. Co-op affects the SP game. It does, and they said that. But if you chose not to do co-op the game will chose a setting that you will see when you play, instead of the co-op campaign
  4. There was no question as to if it was optional or not, but it seems single player is shepherds part in the war, who he talks to and what points are there, but the co-op are the soldiers that take the points dictating who or what shepherd has available to him. So if you chose to not do co-op, then the points and who they are talking is up to the game to decide instead of the players.
  5. about 2:05 in the video talks about it. http://www.joystiq.com/2011/10/12/mass-effect-3s-multiplayer-tied-to-online-pass/
  6. I read it as this: The main game is set in a war, and commander shephard is in the war but has no outcome as to how or what points your side controls, but multiplayer will be an active role in deciding who has what.
  7. Damn it Sony, I forgot my password and haven't been able to change my billing info to buy a game for 24 hours. Fix your shit asap, thanks, somebody who wants to give you money but is now reconsidering it.

  8. I would be inclined to disagree. I think that Apple will never appeal to the "hard core" (I hate using that term) gamer crowd. Apple devices love their simple games that don't require much in them, and in order to change those that want a great console/computer experience they have to work doubly hard to change their game image. It's not impossible, but with the Xbox having TV and going to connect with windows 8 along with the windows phone soon being able to connect to the Xbox and act as a remote, I think Microsoft has already beat Apple to the punch. Apple has to break that hurdle, which, given the adoption rate of the iphones and ipads, it won't be hard if they can convince Xbox gamers to switch to Apple gaming
  9. Forgot my PSN password, can't change it because the site is down... again

I'm less worried about my account and more upset with the fact that I forgot my password and can't change it because their site is down for that service, so I can't update my credit card info cause it expired and I can't purchase something I really wanted last night

Have you tried guessing it? If you guess it quick enough and often enough Sony might think it's an attack and reset your password for you! :D

I tried guessing it, but to no avail. I remember changing my password thinking "thats a clever password nobody can guess" and then i didn't write it down... sooo here I am.

  10. I just finished Halo Reach's campaign. Also, its the first Halo Campaign I've played (GASP!) I have to say, given what I know about the series (what my friends told me I needed to know to play this game, so I'm assuming not a lot) I felt that the ending was a little lack luster (a little, still a solid ending, just not what I was expecting. Over all, it was a very good story, but not as emotional as I had hoped for.
  11. I hopped on oblivion cause I just couldn't wait, and it only made the wait more unbearable for me...
  12. This might be the map of Skyrim. It looks official to me! http://www.elderscrolls.net/news/index.php/weblog/tes-v-map/ Does anybody know if they are going to bring back the Colosseum in this game? I always kind of liked the way it was done in oblivion.
  13. Hooked my laptop to my tv, hooked up an Xbox controller, and gave Alpha Protocol on my TV. Not as bad as what I heard it was, but maybe thats because I thought it was awesome to play a computer game like an xbox game

I use a PS3 controller for PC games that tend to controller better with them. Currently playing on my TV via PC: Dead Space 2 & AC:B

I always loved their chicken teriyaki sandwiches. Then I started getting chicken and bacon subs with chipotle ranch and green peppers on it, with pepperjack cheese too. Oh man, so good.

  16. I really have a hard time expressing my feelings on piracy, because I am not 100% against it... but I don't agree with it. If you try before you buy, then thats your thing. If you only pirate games not available anymore, then thats your thing. Those I would take no issue doing if I did them, but I just don't. If you pirate because you feel its better or not worth your money, or its too much money, then that's your thing. Who am I to say don't do it? On the other hand, I never feel good about pirating software because it really does hurt the industry. If sales drop for a game that deserves a sequel, and it never gets one, then that's disappointing. Piracy is not to blame, but if I pirate, I feel like I am not doing anything to help the game. I really don't care what you do with your computer and how you obtain your games, because pirating the game is not the reason games fail, but it can be a contributing factor. I just don't personally do it because I personally am against it. Its almost as if I'm on both sides of the fence, but really if someone where to ask me if they should pirate a game or buy it, I would tell them this "If it were me, I'd buy it."
  17. I had a great squad last night. The squad leader gave us proper objectives, the rest of the squad stuck together, we were a squad of a medic, support, and two engineers. Every time we laid down fire, the medic (me) would drop a medpack, and the support would drop the ammo pack. The engineers were using rockets to blow parts of cover away, and used their smg's to give fire. We did all this without any communication, and THAT is why I love the BF series. Moments where you get a good squad who just know what to do, makes the game better than any other modern shooter out there
  18. I don't have a nintendo system, but I want to play something like Legend of Zelda, any suggestions. I already have 3D dot hero.

  19. Just watched the video on the Amazon web page. I was somewhat iffy on it. Sure its a cheap tablet, and it would act like one, but then after watching the video I thought how amazing it was for the price. If you decide to get amazon prime (free for students with student emails, jump on that students) for movie streaming, along with the tablet, your still only paying around 280 for a very competent tablet. A good price along with a bunch of amazing features.
  20. PS3 is no different. It is a bit involved I admit and it would be just grand if you could have a list of presets, e.g. "Close Quarters Dark", "Open Ground Daytime" like you can in CoD. That would be really neat to have the option. I don't really know what the options will be as you cannot connect to your characters info in game, so maybe you can in the release.
  21. I hope thats just because its in beta, but we'll see when the game releases. The Xbox version makes it so you have to go through 3 menu options to change the equipment on your gun... 3! Its annoying, and even then, you end up making a mistake because the button options don't make any damn sense.
  22. Some game developer should hire this guy, his first few images would make an awesome sci-fi game http://conceptartworld.com/?p=9844

I like those, I'm actually writing a short story that is kind of retro future. When/if I ever finish it, I'll probably post it on the forums to get some input! But the ones I posted made me think how awesome an uncharted in space would be

  23. I loved playing as support in BF2/2142. I would stay with my squad and when we posted up a defense position, I would drop an ammo box, and that is my habit even now, or it would be if my squad would stick together. Flash lights (and to a lesser degree) lasers give your position away. I don't know how many times I saw a flashlight or a laser in my face and dropped behind cover. The answer is "a lot". How people don't know better is beyond me, if you can see their flash light, its a guarantee that they can see yours. I played a few rounds last night, and you know what my squad did? Spawn camped. They spawn camped, even when we were attacking. I charged the objective 4 times, and we didn't destroy one. My team was no where near me, and they were able to get out of their spawn points, kill me and turn off the charges, while in no danger at all. My dick wad squad? They ended up with the three lowest scores, but the best KDR. I don't get it! Why do you care about KDR if you end up on the bottom of the score board? Battlefield was way better when Call of Duty didn't exist, not because the games were better, but because people learned how to play the games.
  24. A tad off topic, but... I hate Pre-order bonuses. At least with Project $10/online pass I can understand the idea, make money on used game sales, not agreeable, but still its understandable. Pre-order bonuses are only in the interest of the store, so the store can bank some, if not all, money beforehand. Its just dumb
