  1. I read spoilers, and I said "it can't be that bad, maybe I already know it." I didn't know it and I regret reading on . My own fault though, but it makes me excited to at least try the mission. Do dragons go away when you complete the main quest, much like the oblivion gates did in oblivion?
  2. That was me, until I started to do the storm cloak mission. I have my Fus Ro Dah, and the last quest I did was in Kynsgrove, but thats all I've done. I just did random fun quests (Markarths mines were great, very Mines of Moria like mission), and now I'm working on the Stormcloak rebellion.
  3. Not entirely true, I had one follower die because he was set on fire, as he went to bow out and was still burning as he was trying to recover. He died by a very very very rare circumstance, but I know I didn't kill him because he was about 20 to 30 feet behind me. It was a sad death, and I hate the Thalmor because of it!
  4. They have dance zones? No dancing anywhere else? Is this the MMO version of footloose? Ha, thats silly.
  5. I wish the PS3 could take screenshots, (and the xbox as well) cause I want to show all of you my creations I'll take a shitty picture with my phone and post it or something.
  6. I liked Crecente, he did suffer from being too popular and had all the blind followers agree with him and rail on anybody who thinks differently than him in the comments section, but as far as Crecente is considered he was good. I'm with Dean, Joel Johnson is the biggest problem with all of Gawker media, even though I enjoyed Crecente, I couldn't enjoy the site.
  7. Computer question. When Youtube video stutter a bit, what does that mean? I'm using Google Chrome for my web browser, my anti-virus/spyware comes up empty, what could be the issue?

I have 6GB of ram, but I'm using just at 2.0 (for a reason I'm not fully sure why its that high) I'm trying to see if it stutters on firefox. It does not.

It's that high because you're using Chrome and watching a flash video. Try enabling HTML5 on youtube.

I had hardware acceleration on youtube, but that would end up causing it to start green and I'd have to tap the timeline to fix it. I'll try HTML5 on it

  8. I encountered a very annoying glitch. I rode my horse to windhelm, got off, and the horse went flying into a mountain for no reason. Just flew into the mountain. and died. OK, no problem, I can buy a new horse, stuff like this happens. It did it again but into a windmill at whiterun. So I'm a little irritated that I just spent 1k gold on a magical suicidal horse
  9. I just finished Hunger Games as well, my thoughts are very similar to those of yours, although I really enjoyed the book. Like you, I am looking forward to picking up 2 and 3.
  10. went away for 4 days to Arizona to see my sister for Xmas. Back now, no exciting stories.

  11. I think if this is your true opinion, then why are you on a game forum? That's what we do here, talk about games and think about how they connect in one way or not. It's more like a hobby. People don't over think this stuff because they think its important, to some people its a hobby. Is working on an out dated car a waste of time? How about building models? Or what about painting? Those are practically using the same idea. I see it as a creative outlet, or a hobby if you will, to think about how the Zelda games all link (ooh Link!) together. If this ruins the game for you, then you need to stop going to forums like this because you enjoyment is so easily influenced by those that like to think deeper into the plot of games. I think Nintendo's time line is indeed an interpretation of the Zelda timeline, and not a factual timeline. Why? Because the games were never made to connect in any way (aside from the few direct sequels), and because Nintendo funded and owns the Zelda franchise, doesn't mean they are the sole creators of the Zelda series.
  12. Memory card price update 4g=$19.99 8g=$29.99 16g=$59.99 32g=$99.99 http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/22/official-vita-memory-card-pricing-is-slightly-better-than-expect/
  13. Bought Neverwinter Nights 2 on steam for $5. Don't know if I'll like it or play it, but for $5 I figured why not?

I bought it for five dollars. I would have been pleased if the multi-player weren't so fucking horribad.

Is the story worth it? I loved the first game, even downloaded a whole 5 part story based mod, and it's sequel.

so it runs like crap on my computer with my i5 2.53 GHZ, 6 GB ram, and my ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 :(

  14. Why is this? I don't really know much about the emotion engine in the PS2, so I dont know why PCs struggle with emulating the PS2
  15. I've always known that, which is why I've always understood taking out the PS2 hardware from the system to keep costs down. What I didn't understand is why they couldn't upload a software emulator in the system to keep the function of backwards compatibility. I'm glad I got my OG 60 gig (now upgraded to a 350 gig) PS3, but I just felt like the BC made the jump to the PS3 easier. Of course, with all the selling of PS2 games on the PSN and the HD remakes coming out, I now understand why they took it out... $$$. They could resell their games to people who have them and don't want to hook up their old PS2s for what ever reason. I mean the games that you buy on the PSN are basically being emulated. Oh well, sign of the times. I'm surprised Sony even bothered with porting your UMDs over to the Vita. Personally my PSP works fine, and I hardly play it, so having those games ported over wouldn't be worth it to me. I'd rather just charge up my PSP and play them on that.
  16. There is an ad at the bottom of the page for Call of Roma, and the tag line is "Click for a roman orgy now!"

  17. White elephant party this weekend. I'm buying a Nerf Gun, and I hope I end up keeping it.

      TheRevanchist

Another good white elephant gift: Take the lottery scratcher games, tape them to shredded piece of cardboard, and wrap it so nothing is showing, but still looks crappy. No one will want to pick it, but the person who does may win something. It's a surprise gift with surprise gifts!

For the past two year I've done this with fifths (750ml of alcohol.) Absolute. Shit shows.

  18. I'm hoping it doesn't end up too much like the Flood. Because a spore attack does, and like Ethan said, one of those screenshots really did. I'm fairly confident in Naughty Dog to at least make the enemies behave different, though. I dont know anything about the Flood, and that monster thing I posted was more or less something I found on the internet to say what I thought would be really cool, so that may have been a Concept drawing of the Flood
  19. Thats probably going to be me this weekend, except I'm the friend buying minecraft.
  20. In the trailer they said something about it being a spore attack or something like that, so I just assumed that the vegetation grew particularly fast because of the spores enhanced it? I don't know. The art really makes me excited for the game, and I know Naughty Dog will put their best foot forward in this project.
  21. Mesmer was announced, looks pretty slick! http://massively.joystiq.com/2011/12/14/arenanet-unveils-the-guild-wars-2-mesmer/
  22. I finished my last final ever last night! Unless I decide to go to grad school, but I have one group presentation and then I'm done with school!

Now is as good a time as any to get your Ph.D in leisurely studies. :D

Actually Ethan I have more free time than I did when I was working two jobs and going to school. The difference now is I have more responsibilities for that "free" time.

Finished school? Congrats. I'm going to give it to you straight: it only gets worse from here.

  23. I'm 70 hours in, haven't done the main quest past getting my Fus Roh Dah, and haven't even touched the civil war quest line (stormcloaks!) and am almost level 40. Maybe I should focus on that eh?
  24. Yea I saw those guys too, and you are probably right. It looks like Team Fortress meets Minecraft. In all honesty though, both games to me look like something I really want, but the "zombies" just turn me off. I never thought I'd say this because even 3 months ago I was saying "I NEED MOAR ZOMBIES". I'm going to wait until I know more about both games though, because like you said, if they change it up to be setting and not the game, then it could very well be a good game. If Last of Us was about survival, but you stay out of the "jungle" areas, you don't get attacked by zombies, but if you want more supplies you have to go through the zombie infested areas and try to get the supplies without running into too many of the spore like zombies, and then that would be a cool idea. More of human interaction instead fighting zombies, but the zombies give certain areas a sense of urgency, then that would be cool. But then at that point, they could be anything, I would like to see something more like living fungus, something silly like that or (hopefully this works) pictured, I might be so much more interested. EDIT: But if the monsters are like that, then I guess it would be less mature/realistic.
  25. You know whats funny, is I never will get tired of Zombie games, as long as they are in zombie game true form: Mindlessly killing hoards of zombies, L4D style, Dead Rising Style, and even Dead Island style. What I don't want is a new twist on zombies. I thought this looked so unique so great, and then the zombies came along and I thought "I'm tired of zombies being in EVERYTHING, lets have our zombie games and our non zombie games, we don't need to add zombies to everything" So I'm in the same boat as Dean, I lost interest as soon as I saw the zombies, even though they look llike fungus zombies. I also lost interest in the new Fortnight game for the same reason. I just want a game that can be different without shoehorning zombies in.
