$40 is just too much, doesn't matter what the content is. It's uncomfortably close to paying for a full game...again. I think $30 is As is high as it should go for season passes or any add on dlc. I bet there would have been a lot less complaining if it was.

I don't know if anyone here is like this, but for years now I have decided that aside from this forum, I won't get into lengthy discussions/arguments about anything. I used to do that all the time and honestly, it's never worth it. There's only two things that are ever talked about on forums - if one thing is better than another, or circle jerking about something people like. Both are kind of pointless. I just read stuff now. Which is weird because many people use the Internet solely to voice their opinions. My generation is probably the first that grew up with the Internet, and for all purposes, I have already outgrown it. I learned too quickly how it works. That's weird.

I haven't played it since it came out, so maybe I'm missing something. I just don't remember anything bad about it besides my frustration with the last puzzle.

The game has its own storyline and characters. Its not going to hand over the reigns to the player. Japanese games with choices never ask for your opinion, they ask if you want more information about the story. The only choice is exposition. Persona 3 and 4 do the same. You make a lot of choices, but the characters are always themselves and the game will always go through all the same major events. You can skip entire characters and some events, but they wont matter overall. Same with Telltale games. Lee is always going to die, only thing you can do is make him a good person or kind of a dick, but still a good person. Thats not really choice. But the story is benefits immensely. I personally prefer it that way. There is not one game that lets you choose the story that doesnt have huge flaws. You play Fallout, Dragon Age, Mass Effect or Elder Scrolls and youre accepting good lore but a shit story. At least in comparison to rpgs that have a strict storyline. Which is the main reason I dont understand the fascination with these things. Same reason the ME3 ending thing was ridiculous. People were clearly delusional to think their choices would totally change the ending in a significant way. Game developers arent even close to figuring that shit out.

Catherine is amazing. Im not a huge puzzle person and some of the puzzles can be pretty difficult, but its totally worth it. Its one of the best and most original games of last gen. And its a good preview to what Persona 5 is going to look like.

I think what GTA and Dead Space do is intentional. The floatiness is probably how that started, but decided to keep because they probably thought it was funny. All the GTA YouTube videos exist because of it. A studio like Rockstar could probably try harder to make it more realistic. And Dead Space is basically Alien mixed with 80s horror. There's a certain level of cheese expected among its seriousness. Being able to stomp corpses and having 20 Gallons of blood go everywhere(and maybe popping off a head or an arm in the process) is evidence of that. My problem is with actually serious stuff that prides itself on realism, like war FPS and the like. It's jarring.

So I played Demons Soul for like an hour, is that good enough for me to judge it? It's an ugly game even for its time and the gameplay is good, but it's nothing I haven't played before. I'm assuming the online gimmick was a highlight back when it came out but I don't care for it. Probably because I had heard so much about it. Am I wrong in saying that it's a slower clunkier less bombastic Ninja Gaiden? That's the feel I got from it. Blocking, parrying, dodging, punishing, lather, rinse, repeat. And I cannot stress enough how goddamn ugly this game is. I was having Runescape flashbacks while playing this thing.

I dont know if anyone has mentioned this, but I really dislike "angry" videogame personalities. Only one I like is AVGN because its 100% a joke. Everyone else is just annoying. It just doesnt affect me. Too much outrage over something so meaningless. Then again, I never scream or throw controllers or any of that. Never done anything like that in my life. I get annoyed at games, but never angry. It just doesnt register that way with me, so dudes like Angry Joe or Jim Sterling, or that really fat dude annoy me. Children.

I never understood the fascination with ragdoll physics. They always looked worse to me than canned animations. I remember back in the late 90s everyone thought they were awesome. Ugh.

KoToR is extremely playable on tablets. Loved playing it on there.

I think I need to stay off FB or any place that lets people comment on things for a while. White people are showing their ignorance and lack of education like it's a contest to be the best at it.
