  1. I actually like Revenge Of The Sith. It was a fun movie. And unlike the other 2, things actually happen in this and there are tons of fights and people die and so on. My thinly veiled point was that its bothersome that the same people that claimed their childhood was raped are still excited for a new SW movies, shit they seem to like everything new SW. Its like they like abuse. Im a casual SW fan, so Im actually sure this new one will be good. Not because of the director or the cast, but because it's Disney. They cant fuck this up as badly as Lucas did. And thats really the difference - the average movie goer will forget and forgive, but the hardcore fans wont. We WILL see 5 bad FF films in a row, but once we hear there are good reviews for a new one, we'll go see it. We dont hold judges. Its the nerds that annoy me.
  2. Is Cyclops supposed to be unlikable in the movies? Did Singer set out to do this purposely? Sometimes it seems that he's supposed to be a dick, but youre still supposed to respect him....yet he gets his ass kicked all the time and ends up dying. He never even really feels like the leader of the Xmen. I dont think he is. I say this because Im rewatching the first Xmen. He's so boring.
  3. It has one thing over Phantom Menace...its not boring as fuck. Its stupid as shit, but at least its entertaining. Theres no nonsensical political drama and shitty love story to clog everything up.
  4. Compared to FB's 1.44 billion users? its nothing. It failed. And most of us only have one because we use Gmail.
  5. Batman Returns wasnt a bad movie though. At the time people liked it and it was reviewed pretty decently. No one has ever said that BR helped in destroying the Batman franchise. This might be one of the first. Even Forever isnt as bad as SW prequels. The comparison just isnt there.
  6. Google Plus sucks ass. I'm glad it didn't take off.
  7. I hate to ruin the mood going on here, but is there any other film franchise in history that has had 3 bad movies in a row yet people are still excited for the next one? I'm not being snarky, I'm genuinely curious.
  8. That game was really fun. I haven't liked a a Spider-Man game as much since Spider-Man 2 and I haven't liked anything after either. But yeah , it's rough. The PS3 version had constant screen tearing, the voice acting is bad. Spider-Man's actor is fine, but his voice is annoyingly high. Graphics aren't great. Also, the QTEs are really bad as far as QTEs go. I think this came out around the time QTEs were at the height of their popularity and every game had to have one. And I can only assume that the animations for Spider-Man were from a previous game since that's about the only polished thing about it. We really need another Spider-Man game of that quality. There's a hole that needs to be filled that only a Spider-Man game can fill. Even games where you can fly never made you feel as free in the air as a good Spider-Man. Only one close to it is the inFamous series as far as being in the sky and traversing around. Maybe even Lego Marvel. Other games have done it, but it never feels quite as right. Sucker Punch would be ideal to make a new Spider-Man game.
  9. That was really fucking dumb. Bush league.
  10. I hate when poop comes out too creamy. Ugh.
  11. Which is funnier - the Life Alert commercial or the Hoveround commercial?

I miss hilarious infomercials. They'll never be as good as the 80s and early 90s.

  12. I just never felt bad when his parents died, or when Rachel died. Or when he went broke and Bane broke his back. Am I supposed to feel bad for him? Bale didnt do anything to feel that way. Even when he cries when Rachel dies feels fake to me. In comparison, when Rocket cries I did feel bad. Rachel is a full character in both movies and Groot just has one line(or 2) of dialogue. YEt I feel Groot is a deeper more likable character.
  13. I like the Thor movies because I think Natalie Portman and Thor are good together. They have good chemistry on screen. And Loki of course. I also like hammy Odin. I will admit that the first Thor is extremely by the book. For better or for worse, it felt like classic literature where it feels extremely predictable. I also didnt care for IM 2 very much, but what does everyone think is so bad about it? On paper it sounds good. Drunk Iron Man, War Machine is cool, I liked Hammer and Mickey Rourke was legit in it. I thinkt he actors all played their part well. Maybe not Cheadle though. Too bland. But then you watch it and it's just such a mess. Its so messy that I cant pinpoint what I dont like about it. The best part of that movie is Hammer and the suitcase Iron Man suit. That was rad. And thats about it. Ironically, its also the first big Shield movie where Nick Fury was featured above just a cameo. it sets up that whole thing, so it is somewhat important. So good.
  14. Yeah, I understand that. I think we can all accept that it was made to get people off their backs who were upset. Whether they decide to do anything with that, who knows. Most of those shorts havent been taken into account in the MCU either, which is a shame. I was hoping to see Lizzy Caplan as a member of Shield.
  15. What is happening here? I dont like this.
  16. Killian was the Mandarin in the sense that he orchestrated the entire thing, he was behind the fake Mandarin. His name was just used by Killian because the real Mandarin has a reputation he could use to his advantage. The short goes over this. Whether Marvel is going to actually expand on that or it was just a cheap way to please the hardcore fans who hated the twist, I dont know. Also, I love the Red Skull, but he kind of sucked in Captain America. He just didnt resonate with me. I dunno why. He did look badass though.
  17. I saw that animated Extremis movie and liked it, but even in that I found Extremis a bit confusing. I didnt get it in the movie either. I understood what it was, but I didnt get all the details about it. What the rules of it were. And Ive grown up enough to accept that most movies will take ideas from their comic or book source, but not really adapt them. Theyre not exactly what they were in the comics. Im not sure why people continue to get upset about stuff like that. Every movie so far has done it. Even the Watchmen movie made alterations to the source. I will always side with film when it comes to comics vs film. comics are just so imperfect because sometimes they run too long and have different writers. Film can fix it.
  18. Does anyone else have female friends on Facebook who post a picture of themselves pretty much every other day? Im depressed so theres a lot of things about people i dont understand, but wanting to see yourself so much seems like the signs of dementia. It's just crazy. And this is probably sexist(it is), but I always found it funny that girls will put tons of pictures of themselves up on Facebook, yet they refuse to show themselves on forums. I suppose because on FB youre surrounded by friends and youll get tons of "likes" from them, yet anonymous people on forums can tear you apart. I just think if you think youre attractive, you should own it. So many girls seem to be modest about it, yet when they post a picture up, theyre almost always at least cute and people will compliment them about it. Or maybe my standards are low. That could be it.
  19. You sons of bitches. Have you event ried pineapple on pizza or do you just assume it wouldnt taste good? It tastes great. especially with jalapenos.
  20. I really dont understand the strong dislike for Iron Man 3. Is the mandarin thing really that big a deal? I loved the twist. Mostly because Ben Kingsley sold BOTH characters perfectly. Really menacing when he was on TV, yet when the real him comes out he's hilarious. Not to mention his Marvel short. It was great. I hope we see him again. He's so funny that it was worth the twist happening just so that character could be hilarious. Id put it above both Thor movies, IM2 and the first Captain America. Oh, and Hulk. I also havent seen Ultron, but IM3 has probably my favorite Marvel patented movie ending fight. Seeing all those Iron Mans get demolished was great. Only part I didnt like was the kid being in it. But even that I liked Stark making all those makeshift weapons. I also think Stark's mental problems after Avengers could have needed more time to really delve into it.
  21. Sup Connor. Great to have you around. How do you know that it's great to have him around? You barely know him. He could be a puppy kicker, or an member of ISIS. Maybe he's that one guy that doesnt like pineapple on his pizza.
  22. That's his public image. That's not who he really is. I hope you were joking and you're really not that dense.
  23. Did anyone else give a shit about Christian Bale's Bruce Wayne? No one ever mentions it, but his Wayne is completely unsympathetic. Like, I never cared what happened to him. A shitload of bad shit happens to him in all three movies and I truly never felt bad for him. I like Bale's acting, but he's an emotionless robot to me in these movies. I personally am never invested in his well being. Not to mentiont hat I feel that in every movie the villain steals the spotlight - I love Neeson in Begins, Ledger in Dark Knight, and Rises had a alot of problems, but it wasnt Bane. The characters on these movies just kind of suck. None of them stand out, not even Batman himself. Christian Bale isnt that much different from Jennifer Lawrence - just not likable in these superhero movies, yet still good actors. Even Wolverine who is basically invincible in the movies, I always cared about. Same with Magneto and Professor X. Id say the same for McGuire's Spiderman and even Downey's Tony Stark. Especially in the first movie. Fuck, I felt bad when Groot died. Especially the reaction from Rocket. And those dudes are a tree and a fucking raccoon.
