  1. Meh? I know the compromises were horrible, but I still don't see that as a reason to not go back there. I have too much fun in #speakup to let that go. And I guess I don't share everyone else's dislike of the writers/non-gaming posts/whatever else. And, yeah, this is great, but it's a completely separate entity in my head, or a completely different experience at least. The high level of random interaction that happens in #speakup or other off-topic places isn't really duplicable here or anywhere else. /2 cents
  2. So what you're telling us is: The Metrodome is screwed. Yup! They're currently cleaning out the UMN stadium so the Vikings can play on Monday. But, that's open air, so they have to clear out like 24 inches worth of snow that they've been leaving alone all winter. Should be hilarious.
  3. 8F right now, but warming up to the 20s!? Oh, and more snow. Awesome, because we really need more after we finally got all of the streets plowed from Friday/Saturday's 18 inch blizzard...
  4. I need to watch Season 2... That show is great!

    Wishlists

Oooh. That'd be nice. No PS3 or 360 for me... Also, I want a week long trip back out to Brooklyn.
  6. I get a little weak in the knees around McDonald's sometimes. And pizza. All kinds of pizza. Gods I love pizza.
  7. I like Stone, but only because I can't get it here, I think. Pyramid is out on the East Coast I believe (they just bought Magic Hat a year or two ago, I think. They've gotten pretty big). Sierra Nevada is great if you like simple, fresh hopped beer. No Speakeasy, but Anchor Steam is definitely the same Anchor. Those guys have been around FOREVER! I think the Our Special Ale 2011 is got to be kicking out soon. Can't wait! And you can never go wrong with the local stuff. We have quite a few that have sprung up over the past few years and it's fantastic. If you want the best Hefeweizen your money can buy, try to find some Weihenstephaner Hefeweizen. Can't make them like Germany can.
  8. Favorite TV...go! Off-air: Battlestar Galactica LOST Avatar: The Last Airbender The O.C. (hell yes!) Arrested Development Buffy the Vampire Slayer Firefly On-air: Fringe How I Met Your Mother Archer Knows he needs to watch: The Wire
  9. I am unfamiliar with Haywire; we don't get that distributed here. But apricot beers can be really fun. Summit and Victory might not make it out that far. But, the West Coast gets TONS of stuff I can't have in MN; Stone, Dogfish Head, Alaskan, Nectar, Bear Republic, Russian River, and Sierra Nevada actually tastes fresh and hoppy, etc., etc. I finally had Pliny the Younger when I was in Santa Monica two weeks ago...it was AMAZING!
  10. New Glarus Enigma in my mouth.

Glenlivet. I started on Glenfiddich 12, but the Glenlivet 15 is damn good. Tastes like buttered booze!

Mmmm...tasty. I could go from some Laphroaig Quarter Cask right now. Well, always.

Laphroaig! I keep hearing about them. That's next on my to-try list.

  11. Victory is out of PA. I think they have decent distribution, but not exactly sure which states. Summit is a St. Paul, MN original. They've been around since the mid-80s (between them, Anchor, and Sam Adams, they helped kick off the whole craft beer movement). Not exactly sure how far they distribute at the moment. Most of their stuff is okay; a decent standard, but their limited releases lately are amazing. I mean, Imperial Pumpkin Porter!? It's a bit like having heaven in your mouth.
  12. The Eye Story scene from Henry Fool. Easily one of my favorite movies ever.
  13. I have not watched NEARLY enough hockey this year. The Wild are really all over the place this year though so it's a bit difficult to get motivated.

    Pets!

This was my dog, Ruggles. Unfortunately, he doesn't live with me anymore...
  15. I have seen Lost in Translation more times than any other movie I've watched. I love it so much. I knew I wasn't the only one! For relaxing times...make it Suntory time. What's really fantastic about the whole Suntory times thing is that Suntory is fantastic! Really, though, if someone hadn't borrowed my copy, I would watch it as soon as I got home from work today. After it's been talked about, I can't not.

  17. Live alone! It totally solves that problem. One drawback: it's lonely. Also, that's why I just load everything into my queue. A lot easier to look through the 230 movies I have there rather than the entire catalog.
  18. Lil' chiptune for work. Also have glomag, minusbaby, nullsleep, Jellica, and Coova and little-scale in the line up as well.
  19. Preferably on an awesome display. It's so beautiful. In a weird, harsh kind of way.
  20. YOU HAVE TO WATCH IT I AM NOT KIDDING. I saw it last week? and I then I watched it again? and I would totes watch it again right now. OT, Mushi-shi was pretty good OH GOOD! Someone else loved it as much as me! Honestly, the entire time I was watching the movie I just keep saying to myself, oh god this is so great, this is so great...and then proceeded to have my head implode after the ending.
  21. Crappy frozen thing from Stouffer's, plus some strawberry yogurt, peanut butter granola bar, and fruit snacks. I eat like a child.
