  1. Why have I not watched this movie yet!? I feel like a bad person. Too many movies to watch!
  2. I really need to watch Malick's other films at some point. This trailer is mesmorizing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fLPe0fHuZsc&hd=1 And this just looks like Rock'em Sock'em Robots: The Movie, which I will totally see for free at some point...while drinking... (It's just too ridiculous to not post.)
  3. I don't discriminate in my love of pizza. Hot, cold, hot and cold. I'm for it all. My favorite style is probably neapolitan style pizza (and that does not do well as leftovers), but I'm not ashamed to eat some Jack's or Red Baron every so often. I just really, really love pizza. LOVE.
  4. Noooooooo! Well, we may have hyped it up just a tiny bit. I really, really liked the plot; however, I don't have time to write up a well-thought out post about it right now. Stupid work.
  5. I should add that FFIV had some incredibly sad moments as well, as did the first Suikoden game. There was some welling up involved.
  6. Just heard this on my way back from lunch. The song takes a while to get going.
  7. Noooooo! Not more snow! Another 5 to 7 inches!?

    1. Showmeyomoves!

      Showmeyomoves!

      That's what she said!

      Bahaha! Always funny. Always.

  8. FFVII is the only one I can think of off the top of my head. I probably cried playing the NES TMNT, but that was just sheer rage at all that damn electric purple seaweed.
  9. Don't worry. Eventually there's no action either. Quietest movie ever!
  10. Why has nobody played Solar Jetman!?
  11. Sleeeeeeeeep. /dark city

  12. Daaaaaah! Please don't cut me up with that knife... Damn. Changed avatars as I posted. Ummm...you have brown hair...now?
  13. I thought that movie was such a blast. People can talk all they want about the convoluted plot; it's a movie about people inside an (essentially) living computer with spontaneous AI of near religious proportions. I actually really liked the take on the digital/real world as a symbiont existence or as another plane of the same existence and using that base metaphysical approach to address the science viewed as magic/religion theme. Same idea as Avatar, except that was biology/science, and this was digital science/life. Good times.
  14. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SftCA7h_16k I listen to the strangest music. Apparently, I'm just on a kick of going and listening to old music I love. Mental Destruction - Your Dying Soul, from Straw (1996). This definitely kicked off a whole industrial music phase in my life.
  15. I think I've only played the first game on the SNES...but I played the hell out of it! For some reason I just haven't picked up anything after that. Also, Rune Factory sounds really neat. I may have to check that out.
  16. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y0d2LAgN-Q4 I love this band, but this is such a terrible, terrible video. So bad.
  17. Duuuuude. I just realized I only work three days this week! Time for a celebratory beer!

  18. After listening to Penny Sparkle, it really just made me crave listening to older Blonde Redhead. So, these two tracks stuck with me. Both off of La Mia Vita Violenta (1995). So, so ridiculously good. I Am There While You Choke on Me Down Under http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3_Lhv91mF4
  19. This. So much this. I love the music from all of the Metroid games so much. Also, this is one of the most memorable NES soundtracks imo:
  20. Listening to Blonde Redhead's Penny Sparkle album for the first time. Not sure how I feel this album ranks with the others yet. Will take a few listens.
  21. Oh working on my day off, I didn't miss you.

  22. Does it work now? I need to find a better solution to this issue.
  23. This is also my work computer, so I moved a whole bunch of folders/files with confidential project names, etc. Because I know you're all out to steal my secrets! Normally this would have even more Excel files open, but it's Sunday. Edit: Fixed with dropbox! Thanks dean.
  24. For me, the issue isn't being offended, it just pisses me off. It doesn't make any sense when there are already so many other words to express displeasure or negativity that one would choose to use a word that is associated with a group of people's sexual orientation. Ultimately, I think that anytime you co-op a phrase or word that would otherwise be positive and use it to harm and/or refer to something in a negative way, it's juvenile and ignorant. I don't see how it's any different than using racial epithets. And I will call people out for doing it. And I know I can't speak for the entire LGBT community, as I'm sure there are people who use the words jokingly, but as heterosexual person, it upsets me when I see that kind of thing happening.
