  1. I'm with Malicious. Valiant Hearts caught my attention more than anything else. Looking forward to a play of that one later this month.
  2. I've never used a screen protector and never really had a problem. Now, I do use a case with a lip over the edge of the glass, which has probably saved me a time or two. With the right search, you can get a decent case for cheap. Even those Otterbox cases that are ugly as hell can be had for about $5 +s/h, if you look hard enough.
  3. One Direction: This Is Us. I can't escape the reality that I am a 1D fan. There is a bunch of PR stuff in the movie, but some meaningful moments with their families and time alone really shine. This is a must for the fanbase. Most of you probably don't fit in that category, but I am okay with that.
  4. I might be biased (okay, I am a fucking biased sheep), but that Star Wars made me as happy as Al Bundy at the nudie bar.
  5. Battlefront is still not cancelled, but give it time.

  6. I had heard that on PSN Uncharted 3 is free, regardless of Plus member or not. I'll have to at least try it, since it's free.
  7. Every year, and the ad campaigns keep lowering the intelligence level of the audience by a factor of 12 IQ points.
  8. No real predictions that haven't been addressed above: Actual gameplay footage from Battlefront 3. And an announcement that it hasn't been cancelled yet. More Nintendo games coming to phones. Wolverine getting his own game and it looks like Ark Asylum. Catherine 2. More news on Pillars of Eternity with possible raw gameplay footage for one level.
  9. This shit was all over the Lindsay Lohan debacle of a reality show. Her sober coach kept saying everything was "a trigger for Lindsay" when she started acting like a spoil brat. Eventually, when he was on the air, you knew he was going to say "trigger", which made me and my wife laugh by that point. Hell, it could have been part of the Lohan drinking game, except there are no rules in Lohan drinking with one exception. You must drink a clear spirit from a water bottle because, *shhh* nobody knows your drunk, I swear.
  10. I thought Prometheus was an Aliens ripoff when the movie first started, which tells you how predictable the movie was. The people's personalities were so one dimensional, like watching an action movie with little-to-no action. Then, it turns out to be a prequel without the amazing talents of Sigourney Weaver's acting and stage presence. So, I gave it a thumbs down for lack of a real plot, boring characters that I kinda wanted to die by the middle of the movie, and predictability. The scenery in the movie was the high point.
  11. And that is why I don't really have a desire to pay money for this. F2P sooner or later and MAYBE be interested at that point. Still not going to actually buy the game, though, as it needs to be much cheaper for me to put up with random people interfering with my quests.
  12. Nintendo needs to ditch the Wii U and concentrate on making games for other consoles. Mario Bros on PS4? Hell yeah that would sell! Then, make exclusive sequels for the 3DS. People will buy the 3DS for the handheld, but they should give up on the Wii U. Then, focus on integrating phone into the next generation of handheld. Or making more games for phones. Unless they come up with something that outshines both the PS4 and Xbone, it's a future of consistent loss, like they experienced in the late 80's after the video game market went bust.
  13. You know what's really fucked? Monica Lewinsky. But that is public knowledge.

  14. Even more deals to celebrate May The Fourth: Links to Newegg: http://slickdeals.net/f/6903297-star-wars-pc-digital-download-games-knights-of-the-old-republic-jedi-academy-jedi-outcast-3-06-more Books and games on Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/books/collection/promotion_1000dec_may_the_fourth?pcampaignid=TYPE-News_LANG-En_GEO-Us_CAMP-315100_DATE-20140501_MSG-354100_SUBJ-General_LOC-1_MOD-HeroType0_CORP-XCorpus_SLOT-Cta_DEST-Multiple At GameFly: http://digital.gamefly.com/#!/promotion/725?adtrackingid=cmju029 At Steam, there are some various deals. This is a good one for as much quality as you get: http://store.steampowered.com/sub/25772/ A deal on actual Legos, with a possible Darth Revan minifigure (May 4th only? - will find out by then): http://shop.lego.com/en-US/star-wars-may-4 The Amazon Star Wars Store: http://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars/b/ref=amb_link_411426682_2?ie=UTF8&node=281446&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=right-csm-2&pf_rd_r=0V70P6R7SYJPXV3WGJKW&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1778526422&pf_rd_i=507846 Notably on the Amazon store: The Complete Trilogy (movie) on Blue Ray for $90, The Thrawn Trilogy (Books) for Kindle is $5.
  15. SW:KoTOR is only sale for $4 on iTunes. About as cheap as I've seen it on the PC. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/id611436052?mt=8
  16. If you really want to read up on some rich fucked up assholes, check out the DuPont family. Even if there is one person in that family who is not an asshole, you know that person is going to screwed over enough by his/her family to which, in turn, that person becomes an asshole.
  17. If you liked KoTOR 2 as much as I did, this is some great reading, though a little lengthy. All of this SW talk from every website in the world has got my juices flowing again. http://lparchive.org/Knights-of-the-Old-Republic-II/ Basically, a lot of the cut content is outlined and explained, as well as character analysis and implications of events. Pretty cool.
  18. Damn it, Amazon! Prime Pantry is too tempting. Now I need to get Prime.

      Mr. GOH!

Dry goods deliveries are the bomb for most folks. I wouldn't use this because I pass by so many stores that sell this stuff on my walk home anyway.

    3. Faiblesse Des Sens

      Faiblesse Des Sens

Not carrying 45 pounds of shit home sounds pretty good to me.

      Pojodin

Those flying drones providing 45lb food drops does sound pretty convenient.

  19. Speaking of tracking, my buddy downloaded the first 2 episodes of Game of Thrones. He received 3 notifications in his mail from Comcast that he will face penalty if he continues to illegally download, and it referenced the GoT episodes. Brutal.

Yep...used several private trackers too, but did not use a VPN.

Really, really loved Torrenting. Did it for years.

Maybe I'm in the minority. Don't care, not going to "pirate" with torrents.

@FDS: I know people claim it doesn't do anything, but it's certainly not hurting, so I figure it's worth using. I do know that by itself it's not enough. I agree that private trackers are the best way to go, never had a problem with one even when I wasn't doing anything else special, but they're a bitch to get into so I just use public ones and like I said haven't had an issue in years (2010 was the last one, and that was before I turned off peer exchange and dht).

  20. Moonrise Kingdom. The cinematography was outstanding. At first, I thought this was a bit disjointed, but the collage of images comes together very quickly to let you know what is happening.
  21. Coverage is high in the US, too. Damn guy is a loon. And there is no doubt he shot with intent to kill someone. How the hell do you not notice that your girlfriend, who is there every night, is not laying next to you? His story couldn't get more dumb. It's like OJ trying to put on a glove. And, like OJ, he'll probably walk away from this free and clear, with the exception of the general loathing of the public. There are too many loopholes and questionable practices in the judicial system (single judge and bribery is pretty high). But, you know, legal stuff is always messed up. I blame Ethan, as it's his day to be blamed.
  22. That status thread made me laugh. http://www.cosmopolitan.com/celebrity/news/american-questions-british-people Number 25 cracks me up.
  23. But, back to the original argument. FDS is right. He's pretty damn sharp about tech shit. And, my personal opinion, MS can fuck off with their big push of trying to get people off of XP and onto 8. If someone loves XP, let them be. I love 7. Quit scaring people with this "WE WON'T SUPPORT YOU, SO BUY THIS NOW!!" bullshit for the XP users. Fucktards.
  24. Quad core processor and the dedicated GPU. Bravo, Amazon!

Nah, decided against it. I got the Roku 2 for $70 and part of the $99 cost for the FireTV is because of the internal components and how it's going to play more demanding games. My parents won't even touch the games available for Roku.

      Faiblesse Des Sens

Eh, seems like the extra $30 would have been worth it for the speed + feature set + android.

I love my smart TV for netflix. The Amazon video store is iffy on it, so I usually go PS3 or just use my PC connected to my TV. I thought about using this, but the Roku has HBO Go, and this Fire TV does not. That is the biggest selling factor to me.
