I must admit, the history of England is one of the most fascinating things for me to study. It's been that way since college when I too literature classes that tied in events with writings and people's lives. The Roman times were probably the most fun to learn about.

Actually, I was using the legal jargon for labor laws regarding breaks and lunch. We had some HR training last week for supervisors.

Pancakes are good, but, for the money, skip pancakes and go straight for the french toast or crepes. With french toast, the flavor is hard to get wrong in most restaurants, where they can sometimes make the pancake taste like cardboard (homemade is always best!). But, I'm not sure the British people eat pancakes for breakfast. I think they do all that stuff for tea time, which I believe is their next break time (aka "rest period") after lunch (aka "meal period").

Sure, I don't mind seeing the US win a game. However, I can't STAND the douchebags on ESPN blowing sunshine up people's asses. Even though the US won, give me better analysis than, "Dude, the game was won because of American spirit, Bro. Like, I'm going to drink some brewski and chant "USA" until I pass out." It's not an exact quote, but you get the idea of how bad the coverage was. Just terrible.

Speaking of Kindle Fire, the wife wants to stream her HDX to the TV. My DLP is not a smart TV, so I'm going to have to get something to get her set up to do this, as well as join the 21st century and start streaming to more than just my phone and laptop. I'm thinking the Roku 3, as it should play friendly with the Fire HDX. Any other thoughts?

That was a damn nice highlight. I was lunching at the bar watching the game when this happened. Flip pin' amazing! The pass was on the money and the replay from the other side of the field was even more beautiful in slow motion. Ballerinas ain't got shit on that guy.

Man, the referees have been doing less than stellar so far. The Croatia-Brazil game had some questionable calls/no calls, and this game between Cameroon and Mexico was just as bad. Are all of the refs this paid off/this shitty?

This ain't about you. This is their insecurities and such. If it weren't you, it would be someone or something else. For all you know, she could be saying to him "Why can't you be more understanding, like my friend who is a flying rodent?". Better to let it go and not be involved with that drama.

Ha! Someone was sleeping on the couch that night. Do you notice how clean the homes of these people tend to be? My house isn't glamorous, but it isn't as pristine as these people's "homes". For sure, it looks like interior decoraters all came into these "homes" before they filmed.

Gerbs, one show you should check out for the lulz is The People's Couch. It's on Bravo. Basically, a show where they make fun of reality shows. I'm not sure if anyone is really watching this show, but it did allow me to see more reality shows than I was aware of. It's a fun to watch with friends, too.

Well, it's World Cup time again, and soccer fans from around the world can unite to play a stupid musical instrument to annoy the world. The first game starts on Thursday while I am at work, so I am missing that game. Maybe I will take a long lunch and head to a sports bar to watch some of the action unfold, just enough to get me in the mood for the hot Brazilian action.

The closest thing to that which is still airing right now (I think it's on still) is Shahs of Sunset. Vapid 20 somethings who have rich daddies. I would say it's like The Hills, but these people are all definite fame whores who like to talk a lot, where The Hills was a lot of nothing that was supposed to mean something.

For me, nothing will get top Flavor of Love. That reality show had me laughing every time, plus the element of crazy that you only get from women who are willing to bang Flavor Flav. By the same producers came Rock of Love. Again, solid gold dating reality show. Since then, the only reality shows that are somewhat decent are The Real Housewives (though there is not one person to actually like on this series) and Project Runway. Real Housewives is all about middle-aged drunk women who swear they are still 20. Lots of stupidity and lots of cattiness. Project Runway is just a good show. But, I read the wiki on your show. It sounds like The Hills? Similar in structure maybe?
