Right? I find chicks with accents are hot. Well, maybe not the Scottish accent or when they speak in a middle eastern language where it sounds like someone is clearing their throat. Other than that, the Irish accent and English are pretty hot.

Then you weren't watching Sally Jesse, Gordon Elliot, Ricki Lake, Maury, Jerry, etc.,. That was a fun time for laughing at people's idiocy. In The Heat Of The Night was in re-runs. Matlock, as well. Now, daytime TV is terrible: The View, The Chew, The Other View, The Ugly Mofos Who Won't Shut The Fuck Up. Thank God for downloads and OnDemand. Edit: Not saying it was the best, but it is much better, by far, IMO, than what you stated.

That Ethan guy edited one of my threads once. I knew what it felt like when doves cry.

I liked Bouchart's old Kotaku avatar (Wally from Dilbert). That is the only reason I liked him, because he was kind of a jerk. :/

PBS is okay, but the crap they show between their good shows is ridiculous. They have good cooking shows, NOVA, and a few good crafts shows. Other than that, who the fuck ever watches Masterpiece Theater? I don't care for shows with butlers being melancholy for 3 fucking hours straight.

AP was buggy, but a great storyline RPG, kinda nice that it was cloak and dagger. The outrage was the bugs, which seems to be a signature of brilliant Obsidian games.

Maleficent. It is a good movie, but, at the end, I didn't really have any major wow factor or great emotional moment. Good special effects and an interesting story line. It really is on the border of being in the good category, but could have been more powerful.

I have not seen such a thing. I've seen cars driving with American flags on them, like 3 at a time.

So Neymar for Brazil took a knee to the back during the WC match yesterday. As we see every match, a person goes down and is rolling around like a 2 year old who stubbed a toe. So, when he was on the ground, I kept thinking he was faking, because that is what they do for fun. Turns out he has a broken vertebrae. But how the hell do you know? They roll on the ground like a little bitch looking for a yellow card on their opponent or a free kick. It's fucking ridiculous. However, the refs won't call anything unless someone is rolling around on the ground like a little bitch. It is a culture that breeds drama queens. There was one play that a guy gets bumped on the shoulder, but falls to the ground holding his leg, and the ref called a penalty. Anyway, I wish that guy well. Hope the damage isn't permanent.

Ms. Pacman. Though Pacman was the first, this gem came out a few years later with few additions. Mainly, the bow on top of Pacman's head (I kid). There was a few extra fruits added to this version, as well. The creators of Ms Pacman also added in, on the Atari version, the option to change the number of ghosts you can play against. So, for those who could never play more than a couple of minutes on the arcade versions, the game could be played for hours on just one ghost. Yes, I am old.

When it comes to US politics, there are some big injustices that have been going on in regards to policies and legal restrictions. http://www.digitaljournal.com/pr/1966503 In this instance, the workers are trying to get rid of the union that has not represented them for 20 years, but is trying to force them to become members. The workers for this farming outfit number in total of 5000 people. That's a nice pool of people paying union dues! However, the employees have been super vocal they want nothing to do with the union. They make better wages than what the union offers. Better wages than what the union offers. Now, the ALRB (Agricultural Labor Relations Board) went and, without asking the employees or asking the employer for any input, wrote it's own contract and wanted to enforce that upon the workers and the farm, without signatures and without a vote by the workers. In true democratic fashion, the workers voted on whether or not the union should be allowed in. However, the ALRB, knowing that they are losing this battle and losing it's power base with the UFW (United Farm Workers, whose board shares family members and friends with the ALRB board), has decided that the votes must have been corrupted by the farmers. No evidence this has taken place, only the spouting out of BS from the board's mouth. Therefore, they do not want to even open the boxes and count those votes to see if there was a decision made. This has been a terrible thing for the workers. They have protested on major streets. They have protested at the state's capital. They have protested at the hearing where the judge made the decision. This contract actually prohibits the workers from being able to protest, which doesn't make sense to either the farming outfit or the employees, except that they can't protest what the ALRB and the UFW wish to do. No one has made sure their voices have been heard, which is the EXACT thing a union is supposed to do, but the UFW and ALRB have not performed any tasks at this farm, ever. Now that the UFW has had a 90% reduction in membership from it's peak, the cash cow is slowly going towards death, ending the jobs of the UFW board members as it dies. They need to bring on more union dues to stay alive. You can read more about what the ALRB is suppsoed to do at their website: http://www.alrb.ca.gov/content/aboutus/abouttheboard.html

I would think that the process should take some time and will be expensive. First off, you need to make sure that the person you are admitting full access to the country is not a serial killer or repeated rapist. Background checks and such would take time and money to investigate. And, with government, they probably do their work using WordPerfect 5.1 (because it was the best back in the 90's).

Agreed that the problem is more than just the US. A lot of countries have had this issue, as there is always a sense of nationalism and not being accepting of those who are 'not like us'. That's human nature. It's your actions that make you the man you are, not what country or state you are from and certainly not what actions your government may take, either way. Take solace from what you do and what you support.

Howard had a good game. He played all the right spots and didn't over-commit on any situations. Dude was good. The rest of the US team I can't say much about. Jones seemed pretty acitve, but there were too many times I saw the rest of the team standing around instead of moving. That won't win games. Seems like they didn't really pick up their play until after Belgium scored, and even then there were lapses. Belgium didn't look too good, either, though. After shots, there was no one getting into the box to follow up with any possible loose balls. And their shot selection was weak. They still have a chance to win, but the odds are going to be minute if they don't mix it up. But, the one set play that the US had on a kick was pretty. A few zigzag passes led to a clean shot on goal. Didn't pan out, but a nice set play.

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2014/07/01/migrants-buses-california-protests/11938555/ Immigration is an interesting topic in politics and is becoming more of a national issue as of late. There are a few views that follow this topic. The main argument against illegal immigration is the cost. In California, approximately 20% of the state's budget goes to supporting illegal immigrants. The cost of illegal immigration when the US is struggling to keep afloat is a sticking issue amongst conservatives, though the Republicans in my area are not like those from other non-agriculture based areas, as they have a lot of friends and workers they strive to support. The argument for helping illegal immigrants is that we need to help people. We are a privileged nation and need to offer any help we can to those in need. The illegal immigrants are coming to find any food and healthcare they can get, as they know there is not a future for them without leaving the terrible places they come from. There are other issues that go along with these, but these are the main divides as I have seen them.

Well, the World Cup soccer is over. Good luck to whoever is left.

As a side note: It would have been in everyone's best interest if they stated "S Corps" instead of "closely held". That would have cleared up SOME of the ambiguity and more clearly defined what they meant by "closely held". I see your point, TME. This ruling wasn't unanimous by any means, but was split 5-4. So, this wasn't an easy one to settle between the two POVs. I'm not sure what corporations will react to this, or how this will affect charities, but I would like your opinion on the charities aspect of this, as a lot of charities are religion based.

Actually, the supreme court has been on a roll this week. First, the ruling that searching a cell phone is not able to be done without a warrant. This is brilliant! A nice victory for freedom in America when it comes to illegal search and seizure. Then, reinforcing the rights of people on what Ethan appears to attack. You do have to remember that employment is voluntary. Slavery ended a long time ago, and workers still have the right to strike if they so please. I would hope that employers continue to pay for whatever a person's needs may be when it comes to medical, but, obviously, I won't be supporting/shopping Hobby Lobby anytime soon, despite my wife's love for their crappy crap. The Supreme Court also ruled that Obama had violated laws when he made appointments without Congressional consent. The intentions of the founding fathers was that no one person had absolute power, like a king does, in this country. There would be a system of checks and balances. Good for the Supreme Court. Finally, the ruling on unions, which doesn't seem like much, but very much provides a voice to the little people within the unions, ensuring that the individual is heard. This has probably the most interesting week in Supreme Court history that we have had in a few years.

Antwone Fisher. I cried twice. Sweet man tears, as that is the only kind I can shed.

A new show is starting up called Dating Naked. It is exactly what it sounds like. People are naked on dates. I'm watching as soon as it starts.

I see this same thing all of the time, especially during Puppy Bowl with the word "bitch", and when watching The Real Housewives -- same word.

That seems to be the underlying truth, from what I hear. Since he was the number one scorer (31 goals in 33 games), his stock is incredibly high. So, if he parts ways with one team, he's going to make even more money elsewhere (sponsored by Bimbo. Bimbo: Because We are All Whores TM). And, think of the dentists who would pay for him to advertise. Toothpaste. Toothbrushes. Steaks that are good to the last bite. Since he scores goals, he is entitled to score all kinds of dough. This 3 or 4 month ban for this asshole is pretty much deserved, and, really, the best you can hope for with a grade A player. A one-year ban would have been plenty, as well, but, with FIFA being about the bottom dollar, it wasn't going to happen.
