I took the kids to a kids b-day party. Got the oil change. Went to Costco and got a new cooler and lots of meats. Came home and ate some cheeseburgers. Got ready in my suit and we went to a 18th birthday/graduation party at nice hotel. We were there for 4 and a half hours and the party is still going. Got in a couple slow dances with wife. The regular season showed so much promise. Then came a playoff game. Coach would quit throwing the ball and start running the ball when the run game had been shut down the entire time. Most of my childhood was in Japan, where the only major game, college or above, I saw was Air Force taking on someone in Tokyo. It was cool because I got the game program, which was mostly in Kanji, which I think my dad still has in his garage. Upon returning to the states and seeing football on TV (not something I would have seen on TV normally), I saw Christian Okoye running the ball with such grace and skill. I didn't really know much about the NFL, just football at the high school level, playing with my buddies in pick up games, and my dad's worship of Joe Montana. The impact of him running stuck with me, and I've followed the Chiefs ever since. I did live in Illinois for a few years there, right across the border from St Louis, where no one followed the Cards. Then, they moved to Arizona, which was all for the better.

I saw him argue with a guy and spout some things like "stupid" and other terms that don't make for a good argument. The fact he was warned each time, banned numberous times, and still came back for more really made me wonder what went through his mind that made him want to be heard again. I picture the stereotypical guy behind a computer who has no friends, as no one can stand him, but still was lonely in his arrogant state. We all make our own fates when it comes to making friends. He just seems to have a self-destructive personality, IMO.

Foo Fighters seem to have that same effect on me. I love their singles, but don't find any value on their albums. I think they just put together a bunch of songs, trying to make them all rock, then pick out the best one(s) to release as singles. I've bought many of their albums and come up with the same conclusion each time. Yet, I repeat this over and again. Really love those singles.
