  1. I'd fix the typo in the thread title.
  2. I look forward to seeing a Razer Blade 2.0 review printed on the front tech page of the New York Times.
  3. Got this one today. I love simulation games! Like Minecraft! And Peggle!
  4. I was going to suggest Blackle temporarily but what about google+, gmail, and docs? Do you get blocked out from all of google's stuff? Luckily I can still get to Gmail on my phone. Firefox lets me add an exception as well, but yeah, blocked out from all Google's stuff.
  5. So I tried to go to google this morning and got this wonderful little error. Completely confused, and unable to google the problem, I tried bing, tried yahoo, until I finally (somehow) ended up at a page saying my ISP had implemented a bandwidth cap and I had gone over it. (156/150GB). Unfortunately, now it wants to notify me when I hit 80% of usage, but it needs my account number, that's on my statement that I don't have. So now I'll have no Google until I get my next monthly statement and am able to get rid of this goddamn notification. I mean, the bandwidth cap is 150GB, but in a house with 2 computers + 1 PS3 that are all on almost constantly plus a renter using Skype for her main phone, that goes fast.
  6. Do you mean the narrative/plot is good, or the singleplayer campaign is good? I mean it tells its story well. I mean, on one hand it is still a military shooter, and if you don't like them you won't like this, but there are some nice elements added in that I think certain other shooters are missing. Notably, I almost feel bad shooting guys, and the game isn't afraid to have your main character make some terrible terrible mistakes. What sticks out in my mind is one section where (I wouldn't recommend reading unless you don't have any interest in the game) . Stuff like that, I guess.
  7. Holy shit good? or Holy Shit bad? I'm interested in the game, but the actual promo trailer makes me less interested. I've heard things going both ways too. I'm working my way through it right now. It's one of the best, if not the best FPS/TPS stories I've played since COD4. The mechanics are a bit clunky, and it seems like the multiplayer is tacked on and forgettable, but the SP is absolutely fantastic.
  8. Just Cause 2 Multiplayer beta is certainly interesting.

      Just... cause... 2... multiplayer???

      What.

Mod, in reeeeealy early beta. But it works and has all the things JC2 has, so it's certainly looking promising.

  9. That feel when you go to launch Shogun 2 and Steam decides to validate TF2 files instead.

Does Shogun 2 load up weirdly for you?

Just really slowly. Seems like all the Total War games have, though.

  10. The thing about name brand vs. non-name brand PSUs (in my experience) isn't how long they last, as they seem to be relatively the same in my experience, but how they die. All of my Antec, Coolermaster, Corsair, etc. PSUs have just fizzled out when they hit the end of their lifespan. The non-name brand ones (or one, in my case), when they died, took something with them. In my case it was my entire system, but I had a friend whose PSU overloaded just his GPU.
  11. You should join us. We're all relatively experienced in the game, as in knowing the controls and the map, but we certainly have trouble if we run into a group of bandits, even as a group. Got a mic?
  12. I'm surprised Fox News isn't all over Spec Ops: The Line yet.

Doesn't really matter anyway. They always, and I mean always, screw up the facts and have an "expert" on the show who knows nothing about the game they attack. Just silly how stupid they make themselves look every time.

      It's not popular enough.

I'd keep an eye on CNN too. When it comes to games they're so inept they're probably on equal footing with Fox.

  13. Hrm. That shouldn't be happening. This is what your configuration screen should look like, if you're still having trouble. Probably the biggest mistake most people make is entering the address into the "label" field, so make sure you're not doing that.
  14. July will probably have to be my "finish mediocre FPS's" month, so I'll aim low and say I'm going to finish Crysis 2, Syndicate, and Spec Ops: The Line. I'll probably only end up finishing one, seeing as I'm at the beginning of Spec Ops and Syndicate, but ehhhh, something to shoot for. (Pun intended)
  15. Funny, I hate it when guilty pleasure threads turn into pet peeve threads.
  16. Tomatte, feel free to hop on the mumble server if you'd like. It seems to be where Sixrocket, myself, and MaliciousH have been meeting, and I know a few others have access to it as well. Info is in this if you're curious. As for myself, I should be able to play tonight if I don't get home too late. I shall check the mumble when I get back, I guess and we can see if we can get a group together from there.
  17. https://store.bistudio.com/arma2-combined-operations-steam-version ARMA 2: CO is cheap for those who want to try DayZ. Activates on Steam too, if that's what you're into. If not, there's a non-steam version too.
  18. Only issue I see so far is the FOV, but I'm hoping that's just because they're playing the X360 edition. Looks really neat, though.
  19. No! You're only supposed to do two! Mods! Ban him. BAN HIM! Quiet you. I did 2x2. Close enough.
  20. I hear it's really bad, but as a fan of the first one I figure I should try it. The price in the Amazon Summer Sale sweetened the deal a bit.
