Oh yeah, I thought it was a full-priced game too.

@excel: You mean we can talk about the chicks in this game without being called sexist? Sounds like a winner to me!

      Those chicks are fuckable!

      They are real chicks.

      ...I'll leave now.

  2. Oh, really? I completely ignored the last album but the tracks I'd heard from the new one sounded alright. The single is definitely the best track on the album. I'd say it's worth listening to because it's so different than what they have been doing, but honestly, I see it as kind of like Silent Alarm without the good tracks. Still not terrible, but not great.
  3. Bloc Party's new album isn't very good, so I'm posting this instead.
  4. This is probably the best use for Kinect I've seen so far.
  5. Got it, thanks. We should be all square now, as all the copies are sent, and Duke and Eleven paid me as well. So woohoo. Now we just have to wait.
  6. I might as well post some of the ones I've found. Most are old already. Oh, and I didn't make any of them.
  7. He's offering to act as the middleman in case none of us have the $180 to make the first payment with. But yeah, I think with a 4-pack one copy always goes to the purchaser. Thanks for the offer, though.
  8. So we have our 4th member of our 4-pack in Waldorf And Statler. So, Duke and Eleven, when would you have the cash to be able to buy it? It'd be 45 US dollars a pop, but someone would have to go in on the 4 copies first and then have us send you the money via Paypal or something of the like. I'm willing to go in on the first payment if I have the cash, but it all depends on when you guys are able to pay me back for it. I know I'll have the 45 bucks whenever, but I'm not 100% sure if I'll be able to make that first 100+ investment all the time.
  9. What happened to your Nexus?
  10. http://mofarahrunningawayfromthings.tumblr.com/ Best thing to come out of the post-Olympics hangover.
  11. We have not. Add me on Steam and we'll work out details. Hot Heart and Sko are probably sleeping right now, as they're UK, but I can buy it tonight or tomorrow for sure.
  12. I don't know, I haven't skipped a BF games since BC1, but I have a feeling I'll be skipping BF4. It's not even that I think it'll be awful, I just feel burnt out already on BF3, and nothing I've seen or heard about BF4 is really piquing my interest and telling me it'll be anything different yet. As far as the price goes, that isn't really surprising to me. I think they'll have some real nerve to charge $80 for the regular edition, but I fully expect to see a $80 "Deluxe Edition" alongside the normal $60 edition, as that's what's happened with Sim City, Medal of Honor: Warfighter, Mass Effect 3, really any EA game in the past year or so.
  13. Wooooow, that NBC coverage was godawful. Not only did the toss in commercials every couple of minutes, they cut out The Who, Muse, and the Kate Bush dance part. But hey, at least I got to watch the season premiere of "Animal Practice", because I toooootally wanted to see that.
  14. Alan Wake's American Nightmare I had been neglecting it for a long time what with other games coming out, but finally got around to finishing it today. It was... okay. I mean, the combat was worlds better than the first, but what keeps me playing in a Remedy game shouldn't be the combat, I think. It probably would've been better if they only reused the same areas 2 times rather than 3, but really, for a $10 game I'm not complaining. Not even close.
  15. The BBC has spoiled me with its Olympic coverage. Back home and have to watch the closing ceremony 5 hours later, probably with commercials. :(

BBC is totally worth the money in my opinion and I'm happy to pay the license fee.

I think coverage was £5.08 or round abouts for license payera

Very much worth the money. Its far from a perfect system, but i'm pretty happy with the BBC.

  16. Muse, what the fuck have you done? I had a tiny bit of hope for this album even after the Olympics song, but this... This is a whole new level of bad.
  17. SSX now has legit competitive multiplayer. So, those who have the game, anyone down for a few drops?

  18. I see two big issues, myself. One, you might have to launch all your software through Steam, which for me is a dealbreaker. I'm okay with launching a game program when I want to play a game, but a lot less okay with launching what is essentially a gaming social network just to use a graphics application. Second, you can't run multiple Steam games at the same time still. That's once again OK if it's just games, but there have been plenty of times where I'll want to run a dedicated server program or Source SDK and play a game and Steam won't let me. I'm always excited about the prospect of discounted software, but if it's implemented the same way as normal Steam games or even stuff like Indie Game: The Movie or Source Filmmaker I don't know how well it will work.
  19. http://www.tested.com/news/149539-valves-steam-to-sell-non_game-software-on-sept-5th/ So this is happening. Thoughts?
  20. The Avengers It was an excellent action movie. Hell, a more than excellent action movie. It had a few dumb parts, and of course a bit of suspension of disbelief is required throughout, but it had witty dialogue, good enough characters, and badass explosions, and really, that's all I really want from an action flick anyway.
  21. Occasionally, hipster shit is actually pretty good. I dug this album minus a few samey sounding tracks. Pretty much. It's not fantastic throughout, but a few of the tracks are really, really good.
