I love to see pro stadiums. The grass is a solid green and the uniforms all look crisp. That picture makes me wish I was there

I thought at first that was a old/terrible video game... "Man that grass looks so unreal". Thats a good picture

Love the Mountains in the distance!

    Apple

Madbass has it right, and besides, the suit isn't even about stuff like the packaging or USB cable. I don't think Apple gives a shit about any of that, and even if they do, they've got bigger fish to fry.
  3. Mirror's Edge still has my favorite visuals of any game ever. They're not the most high fidelity, but they're definitely not the least either, and everything is so beautifully stylized. The way the colors mix with the all white environment and the blue sky is just fantastic throughout, and the game varies the environments nicely, as it's not the same exact color patter through the entire game. It's also one of the few games I've noticed that pulls of relatively low-res textures while looking close to lifelike. Dunno, I just think it's beautiful. The comic book cutscenes were hit and miss for me, but the world and visuals were just so striking at the time. IMO, Mirror's Edge still looks better than any game DICE has done since then, even BF3. It came before their sunray and dust phase, though, so I suppose that helps.
  4. I don't know. Never seen it before. But if you could check when it first appeared on the internet and the reasonable timeframe in which an individual should expect to see it, and get back to me, I would be most grateful. Thanks in advance! http://isitold.com/
  5. Swiss National Holiday is today, apparently. Man, why can't we have fireworks this badass in the US?

Well it is the only time they get to blow things up. Amirite?!?!?!?!

Well, at least they're not the French.

  6. Yeah, that's about exactly what I have, with a Sandy Bridge i5 rather than a Ivy. IMO, unless you'll be doing video editing and the like, there's no real reason to go with the i7. The 560 Ti is a great card too.
  7. As someone who goes back and forth between contacts and glasses, you'll find sweaty people and contacts doesn't mix either.
  8. What Ethan said. They're not terrible, but they're mediocre across the board, and playing a game that had an excellent story seemed to make me realize that. That, and I went on vacation away from my PC and ran out of time.
  9. It had an excellent story (Spec Ops), and Crysis 2 and Syndicate have bad stories. Couple that with terrible FOVs, bland shooting, and suddenly Crysis 2 and Syndicate sort of have nothing going for them. Not that Spec Ops: The Line had this fantastic gameplay or anything, but the story was good enough to easily make up for that. Crysis 2 and Syndicate, although they're not terrible, just seemed mediocre throughout, even though their mechanics were better than Spec Ops in some areas.
  10. I finished Spec Ops: The Line and it pretty much ruined Syndicate and Crysis 2 for me. I'll probably write a more indepth article about it when I get the chance, but travel is making it difficult.
  11. I got that, it was just repeated so much throughout (on the tube and on the platform itself) that it seemed overly redundant, almost like a running joke. Maybe I'm wrong. I was actually going to comment on that, but I figured it wasn't the answer. Unless it is, and in that case all I can say is "awesome". Now I want to.
  12. So I'm in England for the first time ever and have a few questions and general remarks. What's up with "Mind the Gap?" It's a London Underground thing, I guess, but it's everywhere. I rode the tube for about 45 minutes yesterday and heard it at least 20 times. Did it start as a joke? I didn't realize "Keep Calm and Carry On" was such a thing. In the US it's always been sort of an image macro/meme, but I've seen it all over here. Orange Juice comes with "Juicy Bits" rather than "Pulp". That's just adorable.
  13. I'd teach you, but I'd have to charge. The person below me wants all these damn kids to get off their lawn.
  14. 11 hour flight. Here goes nothing.

That's a long flight! Hope your portable gaming machine and music players of choice are charged.

No portable gaming device, but yep, got my iPod. Probably going to sleep through it, though.

If you have a window I find it's easy to pass time with good music and watching things pass you by.

  15. I have two Dust 514 codes for anyone in North America, Central America, or South America that wants them. They're valid for this current upcoming beta weekend and all future ones, so send me a PM if you're interested. I'm traveling at the moment and unable to check here 24/7, but I'll do what I can to get back to you ASAP.
  16. All of the stock "tier 1" weapons are actually better than the second upgrade weapon, usually. It's weird, but once you update the first pistol Desert Eagle thing to the exploding bullets and the first SMG to incendiary ammo the other ones just pale in comparison.
  17. I think the tree fell down when he chopped the bottom out rather than floating in mid air.
  18. I'm just going to toss this in here, as it's something that sort of bothers me whenever people start talking about changing laws after something like this happens. In my opinion, these are the worst times to think about changing laws, as too much stock will be given to arguments based around emotions or hysteria. What happened in Aurora is terrible and I'm definitely not trying to deny that, not at all, but arguing for/against gun control now is going to be a far different argument than it was even 2 months ago or in 2 months when we inevitably seem to forget all about Aurora. I'm definitely not saying it shouldn't be discussed at all in the weeks afterwards, but too many people are going to use this as an excuse to argue for new gun laws, and I think that's ridiculous. Hysteria like that is how we ended up with the Patriot Act.
  19. I have no interest in the game, but like others have said, that is an absolutely fantastic name.
  20. Washington DC is a nice city. Not sure where Marvel is. The person below me starts to type out responses and then stops halfway through and closes the tab.
  21. Courtesy of Krater. "A bad metaphor is like a leaky screwdriver."
  22. I'll be in London on Friday being a stinking tourist for a few days. As a result, I probably won't be seeing much of it on TV (which I'm sad about), but it should be really interesting being there with all the other people visiting. I haven't been alive quite long enough for some of the great Olympic moments, I think, but I'm really looking forward to the basketball in particular this year. 2008 was a lot of fun to watch, and I think it'll be interesting to see if the gamble of going for a bunch of shorter players rather than height will pay off.
  23. I wish I had a nice 4th icon to round out the grid, but what can you do. Like FLD, I'm hoping these'll be my last purchases. Endless Space I've been eyeing for a while and figured I should just pick it up now, even though it wasn't on sale. I might eat my words with that one, but I figure if the game is as good as a few people say I'll be fine. As for Grimrock and Football Manager, those are just two I wanted to give a shot and never got around to doing.
