      I dunno... the poorest people I knew even as kids had been to a theater. Until my mid-20s, at least half my friends had never been laid. I've heard from others in middle age who say they've never even been close but yeah, they're a minority.

      I don't know a good analogy then... I was going for a sort of (misquoted) Marie Antoinette "let them eat cake" thing, but without the implied spite since starving for food will kill you but starving for sex is just a nuisance....

    I haven't even started on ADWD because I've heard from a friend that I especially don't want to finish it until the next book is officially announced and close to releasing. Considering the way he said it and the reasons why I can only guess Which is enough of an assumption/guess to make me stop until the 6th book is out. Edit: So GRRM has only gotten 200 pages written by March 2012. Considering he had 100 written by January 2012, and the planned length of the book is around 1500 pages I don't see this being published till mid 2014 at the earliest. He at the least gave the major plot points to the 2 major tv producers in case he should die before finishing the series, and since he does not want anybody to finish the story for him it would seem that if he dies we could at least see the story finished in the tv series. Though he's confident he can finish the books before the series catches up. And honestly how couldn't he considering ASoS will be 2 seasons, and AFfC and ADwD can easily be 2 or 3 seasons.

    See there was a point early on in the semester I had no cable where all I did was watch Netflix. I realized I missed cable because cable could be used as background noise for when I'm surfing the web and was glad my sis got it.

    My friends have Comcast with xFinity and just gave me their account to use as I please so I can legally watch Game of Thrones like a bauss

    Then you'd be missing out from greats such as Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy and the HBO shows. But HBO shows don't really need product placement.

    I know it might not be the right place, but I would love to see somebody take the Skyrim engine and basic map premise and create Westeros out of it. I know they have a couple of Game of Thrones mods for the game, but man I would replay Skyrim so quickly if somebody did that.

    I'll watch it mainly because I think Leo Dicaprio is a great fucking actor, but also because I remember reading the book at some point in high school. Can't remember shit about it though lol

    Man I feel weird now. I actually didn't notice the Acura one so much. The one that stood out like a sore thumb for me was the State Farm one. I actually stopped being immersed in the film when I saw a giant sign for State Farm I mean I'm glad Iron Man 3 will be coproduced by China and errthang, which hopefully means less obvious product placement.. but I don't want Iron Man to selflessly go to China and save the chinese citizens, then talk about how much greater this nation is to the US.

    It seems like I've reached the point where I need to get laid again much too quickly. Before this last time I had gone almost 3 years without it and was just fine.

      I know this feeling. It had been ten years since I tasted the sins of the flesh (back when I was 16 and my then girlfriend cheated on me the following week, whodathunk!) and after resetting the count last Friday, there is an annoying voice demanding more carnal delights. It's terrible.

      That's the great thing about depression - you don't give a shit about anything. I havent gotten laid in a year and yeah sometimes I think about it and i get frustrated, but soon im usually right back where I started - not giving a shit.

    I don't always want to read a 3 page poetry-like explanation of how a lamp turns on. I like the writing just fine as well. It's the story and universe that matters.

    I'm thinking more along the lines of MS offering a sizable amount of money to have it exclusive, even if it's timed exclusive, in fear Sony might take this chance to make it a timed exclusive for them

    Honestly my fav character is Jon Snow. So many theories on Daenerys being Fire and Jon Snow being Ice. Or Jon Snow being ice and fire. Or anything with Jon Snow. I love the character in the book. In the show he could be better but it's not the actor's fault.
