The difference between the Marvel movies and the Nolan Dark Knight films is that the Marvel movies are entertaining as popcorn blockbusters. The Nolan Batman films on the other hand are movies that are actually considered for Oscars.

Book one will probably all be in Republic City. Book two will probably have them go somewhere else. And yes Mako and Bolin are biological brothers. Remember Republic city is a city mixed with different benders and their parents seem to have been an earth and fire bender.

Yeah honestly a big part of the awkward teen hormone romance drama is done. Now they all know how they feel about each other and have made peace with what they can and can't get, and who has feelings for who and why it can't work. I'm actually a big fan of shipping. I enjoyed the episode when watching it by myself, but i saw it again with my friends and pretty much had to make jokes the whole time so it wouldn't get awkward alongside their awkward flirting and feelings. I'm glad they got it over with. Like you mentioned, the shipping is too popular among the female population. A small minority in youtube seems to be especially hurt over how x character treated y and are swearing off the show. Passionate to say the least. As to my personal opinion? Though it won't happen, I'd love for Korra to end up with Bolin. Bolin is a sweet guy but is gonna end up as the funny buddy/Sokka character of this series which is a shame. They've hinted too much that the Mako/Korra thing will probably end up being the final result.

I appreciate the effort they've put into the sport and the old timey feel of the whole show... but I want to see character development and fighting action like the one between Korra and Mako vs the Equalist ninjas. That was just beautifully animated.

So people who do you think will end up doing better critic and money wise? Avengers or Dark Knight Rises?

See I on the other hand think TDKR will end up being better both commercially and financially. Avengers is doing slightly better than TDK right now, but TDK didn't have 3D movie ticket bumps and those are usually an extra two dollars per ticket. If Avengers can keep the momentum for the next two months with all the other summer blockbusters out, it might just reach a billion dollars.

I liked TDK, but I never felt it was as good as everyone else thought it was, and because of that am not very excited for the next movie at all.

Dark Knight Rises is either going to be the best movie ever made or a horrible failure because of the shadow of it's predecessor. I'm guessing horrible failure.

Pabu is just too adorable. Especially that scene with his fat little belly sliding. He looks like a red panda, and I love those.

So i watched the movie. Two of my favorite scenes, both involving Hulk, were beyond hilarious. When the second one happened I turned to my friend and said "this is gonna be turned into an animated gif within the next few days. Well what do you know...

Just saw the episode. I'd give it a B-. The animation was good and at least it seems like I want to watch next week's episode, especially since with that episode the whole Tournament thing will be done and the main plot dealing with the airbending training and fighting the POWAH can go on.

A lot of clips about today's episode were released thoughout the week. i'd say 60% of them had to do with romance one way or the other. I don't mind romance, Avatar did it well. I feel like the creators are rushed this time around since the show will only be like 26 episodes this time around so they need to establish the hormones earlier. Avatar had all three books to establish Katara's and Aang's changing relationship.

I've only had one friend complain that waiting for a 20 second clip at the end of a film is useless. We all looked at him and said "would it kill you to wait an extra 5 minutes sitting down in a comfortable chair after being there for 2 hours?" Unless somebody carpooled with the driver and needs to be somewhere important right after the flim, there's no excuse to complain.

Freaking Ponies..... I'm gonna miss Korra's episode but I hope that by the time I come back from Avengers with my friend the episode will be online already. It can be sd in youtube for all I care. I'm not sure if I want to watch this next episode with my buddies. Shit always gets kind of awkward in the animes we watch when there's a big emphasis on dating or relationships in an episode. And apparently that's a big part in this next episode.

Nice. Will make sure to mention it to my friends when we watch it tomorrow. You gotta give it to Marvel, they've pretty much popularized the after-credits scene in films nowadays. Whenever a Marvel movie starts the credit there's always the occasional people talking and standing up before they realize it's Marvel. And I love nerds because once the scene is about to start EVERYBODY in my theater shuts the fuck up. Can't wait to watch it, and I've heard nothing but good things. I personally don't have a favorite superhero among the Avengers so I won't be too pissed over one getting more screentime [if it happens]

Gotta head out to a final in about 40 mins. I'm sleep deprived, and need to get home, take a small nap, then study for another final tomorrow morning. Fuck Saturday finals. Fuck them right in the ass.

I can't think of any Nolan movie where he casted someone that didn't work for the role. JGL worked in Inception and is clearly talented, and in here he is playing a new cop. I can't possibly see how he can't pull it off. If he were playing an old experienced cop then maybe he'd look too young for it. -

Best Marvel film to date. You could argue it has its minor flaws but, overall, great film.

My only major issue is with the antagonist, but it's not called "Loki & Friends" so that doesn't matter much.
