  2. I am using a gamepad on PC. Don't think I'd like K&M. Plus, a lot of the design of the game is focused on console anyway. The only downside would be trying to type, but if you've got a headset for talking (although not available for Free members) or a USB keyboard (6 text chat messages per 30 seconds for Free members) you should be alright. Spending the $5 and becoming Premium allows proximity voice chat if you are playing with other people.
  3. Yeah, I'm not especially surprised. It's promising news though.
  4. Man, no way would I want to download that thing twice.
  5. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-11-04-deus-ex-human-revolution-sells-2-18-million Sold quite a bit more in Europe than NA.
  6. Apparently this needed clarifying for some people... Bonfire Night/Guy Fawkes Night is not a celebration of Guy Fawkes. The plot failed. It is a celebration of this failure. Bonfire Night =/= V For Vendetta.
  7. I think they mentioned it somewhere. Like the final tier in upgrades in ME2 (I think it was just the final tier?) where you had that choice as to which type of effect you'd prefer (e.g. improve damage, or improve blast radius), I believe that is included with every upgrade in ME3.
  8. I wouldn't say it's watered-down; certainly not as a whole. It's just giving players more options.
  9. At the time I had it specced for damage rather than (major) knockback, I think. Just completed it. Wonderful game.
  10. Yeah, shortly after saying that, I picked up the Pike. Fulfills a similar role to the Machete for me (melee and able to throw it, basically) but with a longer range. The one thing I dislike is how they have the attack buttons set up. I was glad you could assign weapons to whichever of the two buttons you prefer, but picking up new weapons automatically assumes firearms for the X button and others for B, which is backwards to how I wanted it. So when I found the Carbine I had that and a Musket for a short while. It was a right pain against Lunkheads (managed to trick one into jumping off the edge though).
  11. Yeah, I know that. I meant that as I get more gear, therefore unlocking more styles, I find myself tempted to make the costume more complex.
  12. Hehe, nice! You look so dark and brooding, yet I get an odd sense of light and refreshment from the picture. Hmm...
  13. I don't know about everyone else, but I prefer the simple, clean costume look. Though, as I collect more gear and styles, I find myself slowly pimping my style.
  14. "I thought you all collected basketballs. Oh dear..."
  15. Hi! Who are you, and what have you done with Penny's boat?
  16. Lol. I remember actually, near one of my friend's places, there's a T-junction onto a road that apparently people completely speed down. Because you're almost blind to both sides, he had to wind the window down to listen out for approaching cars. You may sit there for a little while but better safe than sorry.
  17. I'm not talking about the scale or population. I just know that from the places I've been to in Somerset you have to drive upwards of half an hour to reach supermarkets or cinemas, etc.
  18. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-15577818 THIS is why maybe games should not want to be considered art.

I think there's an argument to be made that games can be both.

GTA San Andreas vs. Ico or Shadow of the Colossus.

I think, and this is crucial, that gamers who are afraid of gaming becoming "not fun" as it matures are jumping at shadows. Take a look at movies or music. Both are art forms, but both have a lot of just "fun" examples. Not all music is a Mozart, just as not all movies is a Schindler's List, and not all games are Ico.

  19. I take it this is funny to Americans as well.
  20. Got this stuck in my head And I had Bynn the Breaker before that
  21. The thing that bugs me is that it appears the 'Bonuses' and 'Tweaks', that were in the games before, are not in this one. Playing through as Donut Drake is great fun.
  22. Grandad Theft Auto.
  23. The situation is not much different here for rural areas. You have to drive quite a way to get to anywhere in Somerset.
