  1. Funnily enough, I still remember listening to this song while driving along a coastal section in GTA: San Andreas. It fit so perfectly.
  2. Put in my pre-order for Uncharted 3. And thanks to GAME's terrible new site it appears I managed to use my 'spare' 18 Reward points that had been sitting on there for years. No idea how I ended up with that amount when it's in increments of 250 but it appears to have worked and taken an odd amount off my order.
  3. I don't know anything about Battlefield and whether it would work, but I think this is an interesting concept you should write about.
  4. Dialogue can do all that. Just needs a voiceover of "You suck. Like, really bad. So terrible. Oh, my god... Are you even aware of this?"
  5. It looks a bit better than 2. Can't say I'm a fan of some of the changes to competitive though. Some aren't even major but quite annoying all the same. Obviously that's down to personal preference though.
  6. Yeah, my order's still there. Had to select 'Last three months' in the Order History because I had forgotten I'd ordered way back at the end of August. They've 'moved' the despatch back again though: 'Next Working Day from 24 Oct 2011'
  7. Some games were made without subtitles. Silly oversight really. Let's fix that. I'll start. L.A. Noire: None More Black Crackdown: Skills For Kills, Agent
  8. Note to self: do not read up on the Borgias before bedtime. 'Naughty' dreams will ensue. Not Borgia-level 'naughty' but still... =/

      Lol. You could say that.

  9. Tesco appear to think there has been a delay sending out my Arkham City (PC) order and that it will be despatched 'Next Working Day from 22 Oct 2011'. They had better not be sending me the console version... I mean, they'd already emailed me about the new release date. Hopefully just some small error in sending an email and they've not done anything...
  10. Shadow Broker is fun. And some of the post-completion stuff is a nice bonus. "'Azure'. It's a slang word, used on Illium, for a part of the Asari body" "Where?" "Mostly in the lower southern region" "I meant where on the Asari body?" "So did I"
  11. My parents have one of them now. I'm pretty sure they're becoming popular over here. You'd have to be pretty damn stupid to get your finger caught in one considering how far underneath it is. The induction hob's pretty swish too.
  12. Wow, that's awesome. I remember seeing them way back in 2001 or 2002 (I think it was the latter because everyone knew Distortion), supporting Less Than Jake or Reel Big Fish, before I knew who they were and they were pretty cool. Ireland do have some good bands. Really, really love The Upgrades and it's a shame I never got to see them. Lot of fond memories of music and gigs in 2002.
  13. Sorry, T-Next, but it appears that is exactly what he is saying. If I have this right (never used Rotten Tomatoes), it is my understanding that a positive rating as classified by the site could be various individual final scores as long as it is positive, i.e. 3/5 or 7/10 or 89/100 are all considered 'positive'. Therefore, if enough critics are scoring above a certain threshold, they are seen as a positive. Enough with the belligerence, you two! Anyway, as far as caring about scores go. I'm sure a lot of us don't care about them, personally. But it's not like they're going anywhere and if they do have an impact either on sales or even developer bonuses (as the case may be, sadly) then it's understandable that we might worry about their usage/implementation.
  14. Oh, cool. I'm not the best at combat but I might have to give that a go then. Chances are, I am remembering it wrong in the first game. Thanks for the info!
  15. There may be some spoilers here. Although, nothing you shouldn't already know. It does explain some of the background a bit.
  16. Can't believe these guys never got 'bigger'
  17. Hard always took away the Counter signs, I think. New Game + does that as well as mixing in harder enemy variations. Fortunately, it looks like Arkham City does give you a bit more health or at least more ways to 'control' a fight.
  18. Totally. I would've picked the second over that if anything. I'm going to just write stuff I think is awesome. Even if some are obvious ones, the point was just to write films we like.... Infernal Affairs House of Flying Daggers City of God North by Northwest Rear Window Four Lions La Haine The Battle of Algiers Falling Down The Big Sleep The Hudsucker Proxy Kiss Kiss Bang Bang Munich Little Miss Sunshine Three Kings Serenity Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World Twin Warriors I'm guessing no one has mentioned it because maybe it is too obvious... The Shawshank Redemption
  19. Tried modern Sonic in the new Generations demo. My poor eyes... It was like playing a long QTE with someone trying to blind me.

Isn't that what they were always like? I never understood sonic games I just ran along at out of control speed until I hit something and vomitted rings.

No way. The old Sonic games had variations in pace. You could speed-run them if you wanted but it was by no means a constant rush to the finish. Here, you have a boost, lock onto enemies and just press a button to attack them, and press another for crouching under things. It's more like a race.

I'd never played a 3D Sonic game (tried that new demo of Adventure and even that wasn't one big rush) so maybe they are like that now.

  20. I suggest we keep all these pictures separate. Giving people much quicker access to all this beauty could cause them to explode. Safety first, you guys. It's best for everyone.
