  1. Yessss as in you like the video or the song, or both? Love this. Makes me think of a alt-rocked up Cream song. Which it sort of is in a way. Killer riff. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGp97OVybUM And for all intents and purposes, this is Queens of the Stone Age. You're not fooling anyone, guys.
  2. It also opens that whole can of worms as to scoring games that have online as well. For example, I can see people who love all aspects of Gears of War to love the third because it has so much. For them they'd say "Oh, it should be a 9 or a 10 THERE IS JUST SO MUCH STUFF". But I do not like the competitive side, can't get enough people to make Horde or Beast mode worthwhile and only really play the campaign. The other content makes little to no difference to me.
  3. OK, after seeing this, definitely want the Robin DLC instead. http://uk.ign.com/vi...?objectid=55051 EDIT: Well, actually, looking at my pre-order I think I'll stick with Tesco because I got a great deal and GAME's price is ridiculous. Plus, I know the pre-order DLC is all going to be available to buy at some point.
  4. Great video. And gotta love David Byrne's voice. As an added bonus, it is the version without Shitty Rascal.
  5. It won't be able to take full advantage of PhysX if it's AMD, I think. Best test I know of is to download the Arkham Asylum demo and turn it on there. If it doesn't slow the framerate down to a crawl then you're all good.

  7. They meant as in it functioned like a side mission. Which does sound wrong, since it says 'Map' in the DLC title.
  8. Boh. I might cancel my pre-order with them anyway. It all depends on whether there is some clarification as to what this Carnival Challenge DLC is. Originally, sources were saying it added hours of content and then, last time I looked, peope were saying it is just some sort of endurance map. 'Cause if so, I'd rather have the Robin DLC and avoid the SteelBook.
  9. Yeah, I saw it has been delayed another week. Grrr. People are guessing it's to avoid Skyrim. Not getting Skyrim but Uncharted 3 will probably be keeping me busy in the meantime.
  10. Hmm, strange. If Facility and Molten Ruins are versions of older maps, I'd never seen them before. EDIT: Suspected as much. They are DLC maps that I never bought.
  11. I've only seen Yemen and some Icy place (and I saw another choice was Molten Ruins, but nobody voted for it). All are new to me. Although, I had heard something about an old one being remade with zip lines.
  12. I've put it in my status and on Twitter but I'll put it here too. For all interested parties in the UK, there is a multiplayer access key giveaway (that I just got one from, so still good). http://uk.ps3.ign.com/articles/120/1200621p1.html Knew I checked IGN for a reason
  13. Attention, UK folks interested in Uncharted 3 multiplayer! http://uk.ps3.ign.com/articles/120/1200621p1.html

Yeah, I think this is the same thing they had in the US with the subway promotion. It's the full competitive multiplayer, from what I understand.

Indeed it is. Given it a spin myself.

  14. Not a fan of dubstep but this was p nifty.
  15. I'm not saying all the side stuff was bad but a lot of it was just not fun. For example, when you actually did control Leonardo's machines, they were incredibly awkward and unenjoyable. I did like a few of them, because they could help to create what I would consider a 'smooth' playthrough or helped create some tension (trying not to lose health). Infiltrating an area without being spotted can make for a nice challenge. But a lot of them work to the detriment of the game, highlighting the flaws. And it is especially unforgivable when there is no logic behind it, since the '100% sync' title implies that is what Ezio did. Why did he not kill any guards at this particular moment? And why are fists suddenly lethal anyway? Why did he not swim? And that's not even going into the errors like bugs or controller flaws (I was telling Johnny about a Romulus lair with just climbing, where I followed the exact control hint it popped up and yet Ezio willfully leapt to his death). I'm all for 'alternative/optional difficulty' if it is implemented well, but the game has far too many cases of it being there 'just because...', with no extra thought I wouldn't say it's because they were trying to justify a price but it was a case of getting multiple teams to try and sew together so many various elements that the end result just feels disjointed. There's plenty of content there, but it doesn't always feel relevant to the ongoing story. Nothing is driving it forward, so to speak.
  16. Alec on RPS may have deleted my comment and fixed the error but I know, in his first Skyrim anecdote, that he admitted to 'owning a female'. =p

Correcting typos, you mean? I didn't really say 'You dun a wrong'. I just put 'Wuh oh! =p'

http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2011/10/04/commenting-on-rps-3-golden-rules/ maybe not. Though I know they have said something to that effect. Maybe on twitter?

I dunno. Well, he corrected the error and I guess he was just comment-deleting happy after that Project Zomboid article. =p

  17. Yeah. It was the first part, which was 'Use assassin recruits to kill your targets' which I did. One of the Templar Agent missions screwed me over too. The aim is usually 'Kill the target with the hidden blade' which, given the short nature of the missions, was not too tough. I'd found the target from a good vantage point, when they began running I'd moved to cut them off, ready to stab them when they climbed and stood where I was. But as soon as they clambered up in front of me, they immediately leapt away onto another wall and fell to their death.
  18. Enjoying it more now I'm not bothering with most of the side missions. And especially now that I am ignoring the especially retarded 100% Sync objectives. Just did a fun mission involving foiling someone else's assassination attempt but one of the Full Sync things glitched on me and the other is just fucking dumb. "And then Ezio ran to save their life, taking an almost direct route...except he didn't want to swim so he took a small diversion"
  19. Bought the first two 'volumes' of Batman: TAS. Meant to buy them ages ago but the DVD releases have been so stupid and I had to do some 'research' to figure out what had what on them. So, I have bought 'Batman Animated Season 1' and 'Batman DC Collection Volume 2'. These should help in the wait for Arkham City.

What do you mean "nice"? You killed that guy.

  21. The more Brotherhood I play, the more it kills what minimal enthusiasm I have for Revelations.
  22. I'm just gonna pretend you didn't say that.
  23. Personally, I'm happy waiting until they change it; plus the game will be much cheaper. I mean, Brotherhood looks lovely on PC and I got it at a great price, but I'm not exactly champing at the bit for the next one.
