I think it's server problems. It was working fine yesterday. Might give it a go in a bit.

The game is pretty much unplayable for me at the moment. Nothing is loading properly so I can't do quests. Enemies are appearing and then disappearing.

I did, and have been enjoying it. War Machete and Scrap Musket are my favourite combo right now. "Kid destroyed everything with that newfound musket". He sure did.

Put in a pre-order for the PC version of Sonic Generations. It does look pretty good and it's only £15.

I'm not too concerned with the modern stuff and that probably works better with analogue. I think those sections where you have three paths is controller by shoulder buttons as well, right? I've just always preferred the d-pad for 2D Sonic. Might have to give it a go with a thumbstick and see how I get on. If it's berarable, the PC version would be nice. EDIT: OK, I gave classic a go with the thumbstick and it was alright; considering there is now a button dedicated to starting a spin dash so no need to press down on the d-pad. Not sure what you're on about the d-pad not even being playable with modern Sonic. It can be used but I don't think it's quite as responsive if that's what you mean.

Not really something you can comment on after a short while. It's a bit too laggy to enjoy roaming around the cities at the moment. Anyway, I made a character. She was based off one I've included in a script but I had to change the name. So, anyone playing a hero on the EU server on PC and in Metropolis, look out for Isolda.

I played the modern Sonic (first 3D one I've ever experienced) and thought it was dreadful. Probably takes a bit of getting used to though. I've seen some later playthroughs and the 3D stuff looks a lot better there. They've even got more of the multiple path stuff going on, which was always integral to the series. My main dilemma is figuring out which platform to get it on. PC is much cheaper but I don't like the d-pad on the 360 pad and I'd probably need it, whereas my PS3 seems to be crapping out now. Not that I need to buy it right away though. I've got Bastion, VTM Bloodlines and possibly DCUO all lined up. Plus, Uncharted 3 once I sort my PS3 or get a new one, and then Arkam City very soon. Argh!

Yep! There is also sussed to mean that you've got someone or something's true nature or purpose figured out. "He thought he was away free, but I had him sussed."

I'm not convinced it is Ray Liotta. From what I can recall he tends to have more of a New Jersey 'whine' to his voice (for want of a better word) whereas the narrator has more of a southern states accent (at least that's how I classify it). Plus, Rockstar now have a habit of going for lesser-known (or unknown) voices for their leads.

Everything looks pretty neat but I can't say I like the less stylised look. I noticed the white tank top guy seemed to pop up a few times in there. They're possibly different guys since you don't get a good look, but across three apperances he had the same car in two and was running from the cops in two.

Aww, my chosen names were taken. I doubt (The) Ice Queen was too original but I'm a little surprised someone had 'Psyonara'. Might start a different hero. Right now I have both female heroes and villains. Icyheart (ice and staff) and Psylent Killer (mental and martial arts). I am not happy with those names, or I might want to try different powersets.

That reminds me that I saw a playthrough of the Rooftop Run zone in both classic and modern and the music for that was really good. The modern Sonic gameplay actually looked pretty good as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ldW2lOT-ZoM

It could be handy but I think, for a lot of people, there is the whole Saren business in their minds, making them a bit wary of messing with that stuff.
