Yeah, it was that bit. I was trying to do it without any potions to help out at first (wasn't prepared). Big mistake. Gave that up after a few tries. Although, I reckon I could've done it with lock-on (and a lot of patience), considering how good I'd made my dodge.

As much as I was actually enjoying the combat in The Witcher 2, that boss fight I just did was a fucking pain in the arse. All because it wouldn't let me lock on to the one guy I was fighting; the one time when it really would have been useful. Fucking retarded.

The only thing I really want to know about ME3 is whether or not Miranda will be...coming. Coming along, I mean. I remember saying something to similar effect around the time the Brutal Legend demo came out. More to do with already sort of knowing what was going on story-wise. It's quite funny now, considering that Brutal Legend is the game that surprised a lot of people.

We've gone over the Burnout thing so many times... In simple terms: the racing was rubbish in oh so many ways and there was no proper crash mode. Faffing about (in multiplayer) was fun. They might as well have called it Faffabout Paradise.

They went off and started another forum with little to no real rules. It's OK. Games are rarely discussed but it's a grea place to unwind, share weird stuff or whatever but I found my productivity going way down when regularly posting there (getting caught up in massive discussions and in-jokes)and you can get very lost if you're ever away for a few days. Doesn't help that the actual hosting site is complete crap and you probably spend about half your time waiting for things to load, coupled with the double-posting hiccups it regularly goes through.

Saw this last night. It was good. Not great, but good. Certainly my favourite of the X-Men films. I think it had some great moments and the fact that it was paying attention to character more than action helped it a lot. The german coin imagery was actually kinda cool; that it flips over to show the X-Men logo seemed inconsequential at first but then there's the whole 'two sides of the same coin' thing with Magneto and Xavier. As well as the coin, some of the dialogue callbacks and moments were pretty clever. Though I can't believe four (credited) people worked on that script, judging by some of that other dialogue... Also, I heard that behooves bit T-Next mentioned. I can't remember it exactly but it seems Hank feels it's necessary to point out that whatever happens they will never be accepted or somesuch. I guess it sort of makes sense?

I think he means there has always been an analogy between mutants and prejudice in general.

My copy arrived today. Just from the introductory section I can tell I'm really going to enjoy it. Nice that you even get a little bonus for hitting enemies when they're unawares. The special edition stuff is pretty cool too. Who needs an amp, even a gold one, when you can have an electric samurai sword?! (Or Sly's cane? Or a caveman club?)

The Hangover 2. It started off a bit slow but got a lot better. Had a lot of laugh out loud moments and Zach Galifianakis steals the show (again). Couldn't say it was any better or worse than the first either.

If you mean ingame, it was just plonked in my inventory. Didn't have to buy it or anything.

Second queen was a doddle after all. I'd levelled up after beating the Kayran (OK, that was a bit harder), earning three talent points in the process and getting 200% dodge. As well as drinking some potions beforehand, I must have found about four Places of Power nearby too. She never stood a chance. After using the Blue Stripes armour for so long (very handy piece of kit. Thanks, CD Projekt DLC!), I was disappointed to discover that the Kayran armour also has a hood. How am I supposed to show off those haircuts?! And I have to say, I'm not really one to fuss about graphics over gameplay (fortunately, this has that too) but I keep finding myself thinking 'damn, this is pretty!'
