Oh, man, I'm so happy about those things too. Using the d-pad is a nuisance and while the menu's never taken that long for me, it is laggy. Only Johnny ever said he didn't really like the combat but you keep saying 'you people' and such as if everyone had been complaining.

I'm glad that more people will get to play it. And I'm finding that it does work very well with a controller (even with some menu stuff currently broken) but that's probably more to do with me being rubbish at WASD.

Bobby Kotick appears, tells everyone to go fuck their respective selves and then everyone cheers as he unveils a Modern Warfare 3 demo.

So, I started playing today. Quite enjoying it. Had the benefit of learning from other people's errors so combat hasn't been too bad so far; I've actually been enjoying it somewhat, which I could never say for the first game. Even did that bit the guy was struggling on on my first try. Only tricky bit was Some thoughts

I have to say there are moments in RDR and GTA IV (TBoGT at any rate) that really pissed me off. First time I did a duel in RDR and it's got you trying to read little boxes up in the top-left corner (doesn't even introduce them properly until you hit Mexico). Same again for some shitty mission in TBoGT involving boats and bombs; never got finished reading the pop-up because I was already dead!

Fuck! Meant to pos-rep Mr. Penis' post but managed to hit the wrong one. Is it possible for a mod to fix this? Pleeeaaaase? :grin: Yeah, that's what I think people were getting at in The Witcher II. He's supposed to be an accomplished fighter so shouldn't need tutorials/training. As I've seen someone say before, the alternative would be to have this character imparting their 'wisdom' on another in order to inform the player (I seem to recall first witnessing this in FFVII). In some cases that would then involve taking the player away from who they thought they were controlling in order to play as someone else. While not major, I guess it can be slightly jarring.
