What did you debate about?

Anyone see it? Has over 90% at Metacritic AND Rotten Tomatoe...But I was kind of let down :/ Soooo many reviewers kept saying, "it makes you think! It is different from a blockbuster!"But I felt the plot was really ham-fisted with extremely obvious overtones....starting first with the costumes/characteristics that felt like the Hunger Games showed up for a visit.I really liked most of the actors, I just felt...something was off. Either the writing... Or fuck, maybe I'm a sociopath. I had absolutely no feelings for anyone in the film. Maybe, I watched it at the wrong time. Liked to hear what you think. I guess I'd recommend it. It was...interesting at least. And most people AND reviewers seem to like it. So, maybe you're not a sociopath and you'll enjoy it! XD

Yeah, they both have that "rabbit hole feel"...at least I feel that is what's going to happen in this novel. Can't wait! Reminds me of college. Took a few Post-Modern literature courses. Loved them. Especially since it seemed only a few students would ever sign up for the course, so made it a more personal(and demanding) course.

Have you read Murakami before? Not really something I'd recommend to start with for him. I have not...but what would you recommend? And could you go into detail why it isn't good to start with? And NOW I remember the author's name...Thomas Pynchon!...Really enjoy his books.

Or a rpg. Hell...anything without the move being involved. Did anyone read the Wired article about the Morpheus? The creators said that when players play normal games(like FPS/RPGs) that have their own UI...and walk fast...that it causes the players to become nauseated(or at least disoriented/un-enjoyable). They basically said the UI has to be built into the game itself...like ammo on the gun. And they have to have the speed of walking as normal as possible. Kinda bummed me actually, but I'd like to see what they come up with. I have very, very little hope any great games will come of VR tech anytime soon. But I'd LOVE to be wrong

So, the xbox is holding back the ps4? I mean...if Xbone can be 1080p...the ps4 should be able to hit...umm...2160p? Wait no...4320p. YEAH! Btw..fucking love that cape. I hope there are a TON of customization options through equipment.

Nope...they don't. Even in the device setting when I hold down the PS button there is only one volume. They need to add something in their config menu. First game I've noticed without simple volume control...like choosing the music to go down or SFX or voice etc.

Well as far as flawed emulators...its better than nothing. I've always wondered if they'll look back at our time and ask, "why didn't they preserve better?'

Well its a mixed bag. I like owning the object as it gives a semblence of control than relying on a company to keep it on a server. Steam is the exception...and its why I hardly buy physical on PC. And slowly I'm starting to buy a game here and there... It feels more like captilism gone wrong for a company to sell you a product than take it away from you years later. Some people like to go ba k and experience a book, movie, TV show...and video games. I'm all for digital once they iron out the kinks and offer more consumer protection( the EU is doing a better job than US) Did I say I loved how steam does it? Lol

I won't need to back up..so far the internet has done a decent job of that and showing how to do it Emulators and such. I'm more than certain we will have a 360 and ps3 emulators down the line.

Ah...knew I was missing something. Also can find a system volume option. Couldn't hear a friend on headphones as the damn game volume was too high...

I wish it was possible to chat/use voice chat at the Tower. Or at the very least, a way to target another dude/dudette and invite them to your fireteam. I know you can do that through the xbox/ps4 UI, but it'd be nice to have in game. Unless that's already a feature?

Eh, I guess I'm stuck in the middle. I abhor the idea that one day certain games won't be "complete" without DLC/Expansions to the game. Though there are usually "complete GotY!~~~~collection!~~~~ I mean, this kind of happened with the transition from the Xbox to the 360...the servers to the xbox were eventually terminated and I couldn't download the DLC from Jade Empire or KotR. Those DLC packs were of course smaller and less meaningful than today's. Now, with all that said, I still sometimes download/pay for DLC. Guess I'm a hypcrit lol

I'm sorry man, but yes. I'm not trying to be an ass, but you've gone to college(twice). Stating something and not backing it up with a link, but instead saying, "go look for it," isn't going to fly. PC game revenue...surpassing console game revenue. 25BILLION dollars...that's not meager. Now, I guess you could say, "well what's selling the most isn't a game I like." but...that doesn't really matter. The Game industry will continue to evolve. That doesn't mean it's doomed or crashing.

The last point you make fails to see this industry as I see it. If mobile gaming is stronger than ever but consoles die off... that's the industry dead. How many times must I say that mobile doesn't fucking count? What about PC? It seems you don't like Kickstarter(from what you thought of StarCitezen). But, there have been quite a few games that have released from that pretty damn good. Then there is the steam box.. Yeah...I don't see all of gaming going away. Maybe, maybe consoles will one day be obsolete(maybe they'll become a storefront like Steam...what with PlaystationNow coming out here so)..dunno..
