I feel the open world and driving around is a lot like final fantasy....just a huge overworld map...that you are now "in" instead of looking at from above. Love that direction. Wasn't a big fan of the story in XIII...and actually never finished it. I hope XV isn't a convoluted mess.

I don't mind there being more "hardcore" DON'T DIE incentives...I feel it should be an option.

It's released today, right? Anyone playing? I plan to jump on into the land of waste later this evening. I'm alright with it staying as animated sprite-like models. Artwork looks pretty good!

Hope it's better than XIII... Still miss my turn-based rpgs...Not that I think they should change this to that. I love my action-rpgs as well. So still hoping it's good! Hope we get some classic rpgs on the ps4 though

Still getting my ass handed to me by SMT IV. Been grinding a lot. And fusing more powerful perso--demons. Especially after I find out I have NO demons that'll work against either the demons in the area/boss' weaknesses. Enjoy the story so far....got slightly spoiled, I think. Guess I'll be going to post-apocalyptic Tokyo eventually? Really intriguing....and makes me want to see what they do with that. GOTTA FIND THAT BLACK SAMURAI!

Hmmm...Might get SMT Strange Jounrey to add to my collection then. I have the first digital devil saga and nocturne. Played a bit of DDS, and I really like it! Plan to get the second in the future.

I don't focus too much on the names, but from what I looked up...they do have some connection with the game. I just enjoy the game play. Gory, Dark, Pokemon FTW!

SMT IV

I actually have two ps3 SMT games...digital devil saga and Nocturne I believe. Sadly, never got into...yet. Bought them a few years ago..played for an hour...then something distracted me. Is PQ being made by the EO team? I'm sure I'll enjoy it either way. I love fusing demons. I might go back and try out the ps2 games after I'm done with SMT IV. Still haven't faced my first boss....been grinding and fusing more and more powerful demons. Got two fused demons at level 8. Trying to get one more. Have a Ice persona, a strength/lighting based persona, and trying to get a fire one. ETA: Stink that I can't download the free White Samurai gear that everyone else got. Bet it makes the earlier part a tad more difficult, maybe..But I've been doing alright for the past few hours.

Exactly. I loved Sims 2 and Sim 3. I just didn't buy EVERYTHING. I got a few Eps...when they were on sale. 3 of which I got for less than 10 bucks each.

Why do people review this in terms of what it doesn't have? If you want those features play the other games. Enjoy the new features instead. Personally, I don't have that much of an issue with it. But boy, some are pissed. I guess because they know they'll have to buy an expansion pack to "get those features back." But....it's been that way since sims 2! That's why I mentioned that in my post instead of going over the "emotion feature" and "new" building features....that EA has done a pretty good job hammering that into those who have been following the hype-train that is Sims 4. Didn't bother my wife. She loves the sims. She was fine with the give and take...as it's been that way throughout the series. Long story short, I somewhat agree with you FDS. Though...there are instances where the missing "Features' have bugged the hell out of me. And I don't want to have more arguments by opening this bag...but the changes from ME1 to 2. Eventually...I somewhat got over it. Enjoyed what ME2 has to offer. And honestly, that experience allows me to enjoy what Sims 4 has. I'm sure some would call my wife(and me, I suppose) the sheeple that "take the shit that EA gives you!" It comes down to exactly what you are saying, "If you want those features play the other games," For those that don't want to have to wait for the features that were slowly added back(with some new touch-ups) in Sims 2 and 3...then I'd suggest to do exactly that. Stay with Sims 3. Play the other game. I'm sorry if I seemed very rambly...TL;DR I guess it was more of a "warning" than a review. Lol Some may just want to wait for the Deluxe edition that usually comes out.

Damn...wished I would have gotten on the PS Plus bus earlier....would love to have that in my "free" area of plus games. Maybe if I wait long enough...4 will become free around the time 5 is released? Or would that take away from 5 sales?

This is my first foray in the "main" series(I use quotes...because they aren't really connected...are they?). Was anyone dissapointed this landed on a handheld instead of the ps3? I am really enjoyed it! Kinda hoping the 5th game will land on the ps4. Wonder if the chances will be higher that it will indeed jump back to consoles if Persona 5 is a great success. Would be great if Persona 5 is to Atlus what FF7 was to SquareSoft. I'm probably not the first to come to this conclusion. Thoughts? I'd still gladly grab SMT V if it shows up on the *new* 3ds(or whatever hot handheld...just not a touchscreen phone. Please God.)

I was surprised not to see this in the Nintendo section. Actually don't see an SMT forum anywhere. Unless I'm blind(that is entirely possible...please delete this/merge if I just failed at using the search bar). I'm enjoying it so far. Right now I'm using one save as my "safe zone" and another to save as I progress. If that makes sense... I also save right before finding demons and I'll restart if things don't go my way. I anticipate this taking me quite a few hours of torturistic-fun. Edit: I'll put my impressions here instead of making multiple posts. Hehe -Not a fan of 3d, but I love the 3d effects with this game. I love how the menus and backgrounds work together. Though...I can't keep it on for too long -The battle death effects are Awesome! I love using the arrow attack that blows a hole through demons. Or the tornado/wind attack. Just lovely effects -Is getting me pumped for the persona game coming to the 3ds -The music is great. Really sets the mood...

Would be cool if it worked backwards too... But awesome either way!
