Gameplay-wise, the only things that annoyed me were the parts where you had to scan for stuff in first person. Like the green blood... on green grass. Or the brown bugs... on brown rocks.

That reminds me, I used to have a ladybug infestation in my old apartment. That was the point where I stopped making an exception for them (really, they're just the same as any other bug when you look at them closely) and started killing them. I am now an equal opportunity exterminator.

To be fair, the Nick Fury stuff has no real place in the movie, besides fan service (and generating Avengers hype). It doesn't make sense to anyone who is 1) unfamiliar with the Marvel universe and 2) didn't catch the post-credits sequence of the first movie. Another thing that bothered me about Iron Man 2 was the dialogue. I know they improvise most of that stuff, but it's too obvious that they do. They're constantly talking over each other and the dialogues don't flow very well. I'm not saying they should have the annoying "snappy" dialogues of the Gilmore Girls, but with so many great writers in their stable, surely someone at Marvel could write some nice banter. Hmm... Now it sounds like I'm hating on the movie. I'll just end by saying: Both RDJ and Gwyneth Paltrow are perfect for their roles.

I like that they went with a more lighthearted tone, but I'm just not sure Favreau is the right director for this franchise. Yeah, I haven't had any dreams in a long time either. None I can remember. One I do remember is one where I died, which felt very real. I'm fuzzy on the details, but I do know that I was lying on the ground with a gun pointed at me, and I really, really did not want to die. So that's something new I learned about myself. I apparently don't like to die. Another dream I had as a kid was one where our house was completely filled with water, so I had to swim around.
