Couldn't you say the same about Fusion and Zero Mission? It's been a while since I played them, but both of those were excellent games in my opinion.

"Retro" to me implies 2D. I'm not sure how long it will take for me to consider a 3D game "retro". Unless it's one of those games that only experimented with 3D, like Doom or Wolfenstein. Those games use sprites, so I'd consider them retro.
