Yeah, Cyber definitely takes the cake on this one.

  4. 220,000 hits. http://kotaku.com/5809814/who-knew-the-new-final-fantasy-trailer-was-this-sexy/gallery/ ...
  5. Plus, don't know if it's been mentioned, but games are much cheaper. Not only is MSRP $10 cheaper on average (Call of Duty titles excluded), but constant Steam sales mean I have more games to play right now than I know what to do with, and I'm not particularly rich. Also, games tend to come down in price much more quickly.
  6. Based on the processor alone, it is significantly more powerful: remember, the PS3/360 are rapidly aging; it doesn't take much for a brand new console in 2012 to run circles around them hardware wise. There still could be bottlenecks, though; there's just not enough information right now. Interesting neogaf thread though: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=432965 As for the one controller at a time thing, that's crap. All awesome possibilities for this system just went out the window for me if that's true.
  7. Definitely a lot of potential for the Wii U controller there, but I remain skeptical concerning what developers will do with it. There was no big "BAM" announcement either, like, "Oh yeah. And GTAV will be an exclusive launch title. What now?" I'm not gonna hate on it, but we definitely have heard these promises before that weren't followed through on to their full potential.
  8. Wii U has potential. But given the choice between a cheap, shoddy port and innovating, most devs invariably go the cheap route.

Also, I'm still having trouble wrapping my mind around what the hell it is.

It's a brand new HD console that utilizes both a new controller with a screen as well as Wiimotes.

  9. Beat Hamilton's Great Adventure on PC for reviewing purposes. I may go back and try to complete some of the challenge puzzles if I have time.
  10. Start with smug gay (hehe, I meant guy. Freudian slip.) Then, non-exclusives, followed by Kinect games, followed by Kinect non-games, followed by Halo 4. End with smug guy.
  11. PXOD gets some hands-on time with a press build of Runespell - http://bit.ly/iYK5HQ

  12. 2 more hours for Hamilton contest. Come on people I know there's more wit here... http://www.pressxordie.com/2011/06/02/giveaway-hamiltons-great-adventure/

  13. Platformers are awesome on the PC in the indie scene primarily. I just reviewed Capsized and I'm working through Hamilton's Great Adventure right now also. Super Meat Boy (though that's on 360 as well) is good. VVVVVV is one of the best games of 2010, on any platform, Trine 1 is fun but I'm not very far in it, Trine 2 is in development. Oh and Gish.
  14. I re-read my comment and thought the same thing but was too tired to change it. Have some rep for taking advantage of my lack of sleep. You monster. I've never played Bionic Commando, so I didn't feel right making the comparison
  15. Review's up my children. http://www.pressxordie.com/2011/06/02/review-capsized/
  16. PXOD is running a lil contest for some Hamilton's Great Adventure Steam keys. Check it - http://www.pressxordie.com/2011/06/02/giveaway-hamiltons-great-adventure/

  17. Yeah, interestingly enough (or not, whatever), it seems that $10 USD is emerging as a common price point for indie PC titles. I think that's generally fair for the content you get with games like these. My Capsized review will be up in the morning, but for now I'll just say it's worth every penny of its $10 price tag.
  18. Sounds like fun... hopefully I can get around to picking up a copy eventually.
  19. VVVVVV is half-off today on Steam, required playing for TAYites I do declare

Sitting in my library forever sounds great to me. I'll get around to it eventually. It's only $2.50.

Saw you picked it up, ADW! Nice!

  20. VVVVVV is on Steam for $2.50 today if anyone missed it. Easily one of the best games of 2010.
  21. I grew up on the Gameboy games, but I think the best one was Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards with its combining abilities feature. Kirby's Adventure for NES is also classic.
