Me too. I understand that broadening the audience doesn't hurt the core necessarily but I was hoping that other than new games MS would have some sort of new tech or something to offer core gamers. I'm convinced that Kinect will never provide the core gaming market with anything of substance.

I think it's possible. They keep talking about how they're trying to keep it affordable and competing with the 3DS. I think they know that above $300 they're in serious trouble. I'm really on the bubble about a $299 price tag though. I don't know, for some reason that $50 difference seems like a lot.

I don't know, Sony's botched infamous $599 US Dollars presser was pretty bad.

So, I was wrong, the show was a kinect fest. MS doesn't seem to be doing much else other than rail shooters and kinect adventures clones. Ugh. IPTV sounds interesting. I hope they can get some good content on there.

@Dean, Your list of features is good in order to make the service comparable to steam but if you want to get people to switch from steam you really need to have a compelling feature. I have no idea what that would be.

I just hope Sony does everything it can to spur on development for the NGP. That's why the PSone was so successful. If it turns into a portfest where they just want people to rebuy old PS3 games but not develop new games then many people like myself will check out. I think that was part of what I hated about the PSP and the DS.

I bought the first Kirby game but not until after it had been out for a while. I remember being very pissed that Kirby couldn't absorb enemies powers in the first game. Dreamland 2 is probably my personal favorite. I never bought Kirby's Adventure because it came out after the SNES was out and I didn't want to pay $50 for an NES game anymore. I did eventually play it later and it was greatness and the GBA remake of it is also greatness. I haven't played Epic Yarn though. I lost track of Kirby in the N64 days. Also, Kirby was white on the box of Dreamland. He didn't become pink until Kirby's Adventure.

NGP announced to cost $250 seems like a safe bet now given all the rumors of downgrading the hardware.

Yeah, I was sad when they called it the PS2. It was the first time they started that and I used to get excited to hear the names of the new consoles. Something about numbering them makes them seem less exciting and new.

Skyline. I knew it had bad reviews but saw it anyway. It wasn't too bad until the last 5 minutes which were just disturbing and unnecessary. Pass on this one.

Yeah, I mean, Playstation makes sense. A station at which you play games. Even Xbox was derived from DirectX box. I don't understand the arbitrary words like Vita and Wii. At least Genesis and Dreamcast were real words.
