Awakening, Return to Ostagar and Witch Hunt. I believe these are confirmed and, no, I don't have any linkies for you just trust me yes trust me I'm a nice Mr. GOH! and would never lie to you would I no I wouldn't I always tell the truth yes. The rest of the DLC doesn't affect shit.

Here you go, RPG geeks:Dragon Age 2 pre-load and unlock times. Pre-load begins tomorrow. Unlock for the PC version in Canada and the US is March 8, at 12:00am. No waiting until half the day's over to play. Word to your moms. GOH! out!

Excessive, early and excessively early DLC

I am greatly annoyed by the DA2 launch DLC because it was only available for free before Steam was accepting preorders. There was no way I would be getting DA2 from someplace other than Steam. But I liked Shale's implementation in DA:O as a full companion (unlike the DLC companions in Mass ffect) and am willing to spend $7 on the DLC at launch. So someone made an extra $7 off of me because of EA's nefarious maneuvering. *sigh* I'm too much of a sucker, I know. But I just lurve RPG's to itty-bitty bits and couldn't help myself. -
m11x with new and improved monitor and hinges? Fuck yeah.

Mister Jack: I broke my hinges trying to open up the monitor half of the clamshell to clean off the screen. I think newer m11x's have tougher hinges from the get-go. If not and the hinges break, the replacement is free.

How about the monitor? Is that different somehow or did they just give you a new one?

Uh, the whole top half of the laptop was replaced, soup to nuts. The screen and 'monitor' is new.

I like the Onion's game reviews. Otherwise I mix n' match from the list of metacritic reviews when determining whether I should buy a game. Oh, I also enjoy Jim Sterling's and Yahtzee Crenshaw's negative reviews because some games just need to be berated.

Alienware support. They'll fix hingeson out of warranty m11x's because it's so prevalent, too.

I can't imagine the PS2 version is any good. I loved Deus Ex. So wonky yet so lovable. I hope their are legitimate and significant narrative decisions we can make. I also hope that all three playstyles are fun.

It's such a weird thing to do for balance; I wonder if the sibs play a central role in the story. My guess is that if you're not a mage, Bethany is sorta your interest in the whole plot, which deals with a conflict between rogue mages and the Chantry. If you are a mage, you nead Carver's muscle to get by at low levels.

Team mates only get slots for a belt, two rings and a necklace, IIRC. They *may* have weapon slots as well. O always assumed their weapons could be switched out, but I may be wrong.

the frame rate was pretty smooth on high on my m11x. In fact, it runs better than Origins. I did experience some slowdowns in the final fight, but nothing significant.

The demo allayed my worst fears about DA2, although I'm miffed that facing has been removed and I think the environment and drakspawn designs are awful.

EA sorta pushes back against Steam, so I wouldn't look to Steam for any EA stuff except full games. Even then EA liked to fuck with Steam preorders; Exhibit A being the whole Signature Edition for DA2 and how it was only available before DA2 preorders could be made on Steam.

It's funny hearing everyone's accents. I always imagine everyone to have neutral American Midwestern Newscaster accents. Ethan's is close, but I detect some twanginess in the vowels. You English blokes are bloody 'ilarious! That is all.
