Played through the intro zone in this last night. It's pretty neat, so far. Looks good, runs well on the PS4 slim, and the gameplay is fun. The art design is generally great, including human characters' faces. The facial animations, though, are sometimes strange and off-putting, but it's not consistent. It's like they had two teams doing the facial animations and one was competent and the other was made up of people who can't read facial expressions very well at all.
The voice acting is spotty, too. Aloy is consistently excellent, but some of the other characters' voices and affect just don't match how their characters look or the setting. It's nowhere near like Oblivion or Skyrim levels of terrible, but it's noticeable, especially after playing games with better voice acting. It's also jarring because I think the writing is pretty good overall.
I might sound like I'm complaining, but I'm not; I really enjoyed playing through the long intro section and it's clear that just barely scratches the surface of gameplay and combat options and strategies.
Killing robot dinosaurs is satisfying as all get-out.
