  1. As a Tolkien nerd, I really hate that Shadow of Mordor was set in MIddle-Earth. Good game, but having the ghost of Celebrimbor possess a human from Mordor makes no sense.
  2. Used my gamestop trade in credit to buy a digital copy.
  3. Backed on the last day, as is my wont.
  4. TME: Polygon or Are Technica or some site like that. Maybe even the dreaded Kotaku. Can't recall which one. The writer said that s/he and everyone else in the office hated the joycons for BotW, but that the pro controller is a real joy to use.
  5. It's okay, since reports also indicate the joycons are not comfortable and the only way to play any game of substance is to use the Pro controller. So folks buying the Switch one day 1 for Zelda will pay more than folks buying a PS4 Pro with two games packed in.
  6. Yeah, fuck that noise. So the squad will effectively be AI-controlled uselessness, like in Call of Duty games?
  7. I tried out the Steam controller for the exact reason you mention, but I was not sold on it. It certainly is easier to navigate Steam's interface using a mouse and keyboard than with the Steam Controller and Big Screen mode. I'm used to my lap desk anyway, as much as my wife is not a fan of it hanging around the living room.
  8. I've only used one briefly and for an action game, but I'm skeptical that it would be better than m+kb for anything else. I like my regular gamepad and ps4 controller way better for action games, too. The best couch PC gaming investment I ever made was buying a simple lap desk and wireless keyboard and mouse.
  9. It's enabling bad behavior, is all.
  10. An Erlenmeyer flask? A round-bottom? Florence? Schlenk? what kinda flask you looking for?
  11. I shake my head at everyone supporting a zombie IP on a zombie system instead of a new IP on a vibrant and thriving console.
  12. Mine is 32GBisplentyofstoragein2017.
  13. I missed the KS, but always was going to order. Unlocks early tomorrow morning.
  14. Nintendo: masters of non-communication.
  15. Looks like Horizon: Zero Dawn is an early GOTY contender, too. Truly, the next two weeks are good for fans of good games, what with Horizon, Night in the Woods, and Torment: Tides of Numenera dropping. Next week is also looking good for fans of mediocre, uninspired, and derivative retreads on gimmicky, poorly-selling consoles designed primarily for children, I suppose.

Well yeah, them plus their friends who borrow them.

I hear you can just take the switch to a party and pass the around the controller for some multiplayer BotW, too!

Only if it's a roof party. Nintendo have developed very advanced party-analysis tech to ensure that you can't play multiplayer at plebian, non-roof parties.

  16. Apparently the lead writer on this was one of the lead writers of Fallout: NV, which is very awesome.
  17. Reviews have dropped and they're overwhelmingly positive and affirm that guerrilla has made something pretty wonderful. Looks like I'll be using my gamestop credits from selling my ps3 and 360 for it.
  18. I have a bunch of different colognes (and I would call any eau de toilette I use a cologne, even if it were unisex, and I think "perfume" also is a unisex term). I mainly switch between Aramis for business and a Prada evening cologne for social stuff, though I have a few D&G colognes as well. I think I have something like eight bottles of six distinct colognes. I think normal people only need one or two scents at a time; a good number of my colognes were free from my wife's job, since all sorts of personal grooming brands would send her old company men's stuff for free despite the fact it was a magazine for women. Also came here to post the new living room chair I'll be using for gaming once I move next week: It's been at the condo for a few weeks now, and I've already tested it out; super comfy.
  19. Plus, you only need to play for an hour before it's apparent the game is bad. *trollface*
  20. It will be Zelda-themed One Two Switch party games because Nintendo is terrible.
  21. Will Ninty be releasing the DLC for Wii U?
  22. That hour-long gameplay video and some of the reports I've read have sold me, at least to the extent that I plan to get it unless the reviews are terrible.
  23. Less than a week to Night in the Woods and less than two to Torment: Tides of Numenera, both very strong GOTY candidates.

They are not. See: Don't Starve. Klei made a conscious decision to not have achievements but they still had to add trophies when they released on PS4, so they came up with the most braindead trophy list possible lol. The Steam release still has no achievements.

Similarly, The Witness only has 2 achievements on Steam but something like 14 on PS4 because of arbitrary Sony policy.

They haven't been announced for NITW, then.

Interesting. I may have to look into those at some point. Thanks for bringing them up! :D

  24. Looks 100% like a successor to System Shock, not Prey. This is a good thing. EDit: Oh, I already said this last year. I adore Arkane, so I'll likely pick this up when it's released.
  25. Probably just best to wait and buy the inevitable GOTY edition in 2018. I mean, sure, it won't be on the super dead Wii U at that point, but you maniacs are all buying Switches eventually, anyway.
