I freaking loooooathe Kings of Leon. I don't understand why they're so popular - the singer sounds like he just swallowed a bag of frogs. They were the headliner at this big music festival in San Francisco I went to, and now they're headlining one of the days at Coachella, that huge 'indie' music fest in Southern California. I dunnn get it. I did hear a funny story though, where apparently they were playing a show and had to cancel it, because a massive flock of birds starting crapping on the band while they were playing. This made me happy.

They're these little tiny men, see, and they surf the waves of vomit in one final blaze of glory. It's quite a show. The toilet bowl is a harsh audience though. No applause, just the echoes of your own gagging and the vague smell of urine.

Tonight, if I'm feeling up to it, meeting my sister who's in town for dinner at some fancy German restaurant with frightening looking grub. Last night I went home with plans to stay home, but I got violently sick out of the blue, which was fun. Have two chapters left on the first Uncharted though, so I'd really like to head home with plans to finish that at some point and send it back, if possible, before I leave on my trip to Washington on Monday.

Gosh darnit, I won't be on. I ended up puking my guys out last night out of the blue and crawling with my tail between my legs to the gf's for pampering or something. Bad Brain! Bad!

Alrighty, I will be on tonight trying to finish the first Uncharted, but if anyone's down to play some Uncharted 2, send me a message. I want to try out my shiny new headset. [EDIT] UGH. Apparently my 'shiny new headset' still needs the stupid A/V cables for the PS3, which after last move, I do not seem to have anymore. I mean who would think you would need those? Grawwwr.

Actually, I should be able to play with you guys tomorrow. I'm going to be spending tonight and tomorrow night at home (as well as tomorrow afternoon, which is night for you folks) it turns out, so yay!

Ohh, I never saw this thread. I've definitely been wanting this game, but thing is, I have so many excellent online shooters I don't play now, it kind of sucks. In the end, communities and friends really make the shooter for me, regardless of how good it is on its own. Blasting away at/with randoms stays fun only for so long. If only more of you TAY folk were PC gamers too!

On the off-chance any of you folks with all your crazy timezones are down to play in five or six hours, I'm going to be home for a few hours and eager to try my shiny new headset and get some Uncharted 2 in. This, however, sounds somewhat unlikely, as I think it will be the middle of the night on a work day for a lot of you. BHB or malicious, however, I believe you are in the same time zone as me - you should do it!

Ah, that makes sense. It's too bad, because I loved Stalker's gunplay, but Metro's is pretty bleh.

Did you spring for it? The 2:00 deal is gone now, as is the one I got. The 2:00 one was a ridiculously nice headset, but dropping fifty on one was enough as is, and $100, even discounted from $160 or whatever, is still too much.

Yeahh, I was raging about that in the Steam sale thread. I don't know why they did that - someone thought it might be due to publisher conflicts, or because Pripyat is supposed to be a direct sequel to Chernobyl. Gonna have to wait for it to hit a sale now, who knows when.

The shooting is pretty weak, and it was the primary complaint for many reviews. Which is surprising, since I believe it's from some of the people behind the Stalker team, which really has excellent shooting mechanics.

I mean, I was massively disappointed in XIII. I was sure it was going to be amazing, because I'd been looking forward to it for quite a while and had LOVED XII. But, it was a waste of $65. It was just dead boring and the characters were overly dramatic and void of any real personality (at least twelve hours in, at which point I decided I wasn't going to waste any more of my time hoping it somehow got better). If they actually listen to the feedback and somehow improve on all of the areas that XII was lacking, I will certainly give it a shot. But there's no way in hell I'm going to drop the full price on another Final Fantasy game until I have my faith restored (or they let the guy behind Tactics and XII get behind the wheel again). After XIII and XIV, SE looks to be in a bit of a rut with the series.

Unfortunately, the only one I've played was Tales of Legendia which was an utter disgrace. It had the WORST voice acting in a game ever, and any dramatic effect the story could have had was ruined by the fact that you had a dramatic primary character named 'Stella' and the inevitable moment when the horrible voice cast screams her name... You're supposed to be crying from being sad, not laughing at the emotional apex of the game. Still, I've heard good things about the rest of the series. Like I said, I wanted to get Tales of Vesperia but kept waiting for the enhanced PS3 version to get released stateside, which it seems will never happen at this point, so perhaps I'll have to pick it up eventually.

And, done. Got the first one, as I'm pretty sure the later option will just be the more expensive surround sound version which, eh, $55 on a good headset is really probably all I need.

Hmm, yeah, I just noticed the KZ3 is out quite soon. If that's the next PS3 MP game for the group, till Uncharted 3, I might just wait and grab that, then. I rarely make my way through SP campaigns these days.
