  1. You haven't had In'n'Out? I guess it's a West Coast chain, but... Holy fuck. It is by far the most delectable fast food burger you will EVER have. And I am not exaggerating one bit. That is, of course, unless there's something better out there I have not had - which I am having trouble imagining. You can buy this in my local Safeway. I am afraid to.
  2. Buuuuuut it's gonna happen to lots of the folks that play it. Just watch!
  3. Stone we get - some of my friends swear by Arrogant Bastard. I've seen Dogfish frequently, but haven't bought it yet - I'll have to try it now. Sierra Nevada I've never been too big a fan of, but that might be a bias (due to some friends' reactions). Hefeweisen-wise, Pyramid does a damn good one, but I have no idea where they're located. San Francisco (my area) has some damn good IPA and Pale Ales with their local micro-brew, Speakeasy, but I doubt that goes out as far as you, unfortunately. We also have Anchorsteam which I'm not as big a fan of, and I doubt is the same as your 'Anchor', but I had to wonder for a moment. I would be a happy person to taste so many of the beers out there.
  4. Truth told, I love all sorts of junk food - just as much as the fancy sort, sometimes. Domino's pizza (and their cinna stix - ohhhboy), Carl's Jr's Big Carl, Jack in the Box's entire value menu and In'N'Out: These are my favorite slow-death things. And you?
  5. Yahhhr. That sounds amazing. There's Haywire that does an Apricot that is pretty amazing - I think they're out of Oregon or somewhere. But yeah, I've never seen those on the West Coast, sadly.
  6. BOOOOOOOOO. I wasted a whole fifteen minutes of my life then. Oh well. That's like my hobby lately, or something.
  7. Sad! I support that decision. I've got a soft spot for cats.
  8. I've never seen those beers. Micro-brews? Whereabouts?
  9. That's awesome. I'm envious. I've badly wanted a polaroid for a long time now, but those and their film are stupidly expensive now that they're supposedly not in production anymore, or whatever. Urban Outfitters is supposed to have some knock-offs, but they're also spense and I can't tell if they're completely junk or not. I like it. It's far less morbid than one I took of a seagull eating another seagull on the beach. Better picture, too. [EDIT] Double-post, apologies.
  10. I'm about to buy MNC, but for now bought Just Cause 2 and Beat Hazard today. Still sitting on my pre-order of Witcher 2 for some reason. The discount will probably disappear by the time I decide to buy it.
  11. Yes ma'am. Almost put that in the photo-wise things I like, but didn't for some reason. Is that your DA page? I can't tell if this is sad or lulz, considering my post. Or both. !
  12. My absolute favorite singer/songwriter in the folk genre. He does haunting like no one else. It's a shame his latest stuff is all country-twang-crap. :'( This song, though, and so many others. I love too much.
  13. I like to take pictures of stuffs in my spare time. Anyone else? Post some of your favorite pictures you've taken, and upload some to your dropbox (or wherever) gallery, link that, if you like. I've got a thing for color, shadow and strange composition. Poached a bunch of the photos I liked better from my Facebook albums. Etc. Link to full album here: http://www.dropbox.com/gallery/16540276/1/Brain%27s%20Photos?h=c3811d
  14. Do it! I'm going to get it for sure, and I'd like to play with some Kotakuites folks. Maybe we can entice some others as well.
  15. True - I remember it working for me at the time though. BC1 was the only game I could come in first on the scoreboard fairly consistently. It's a shame you're on the console! Otherwise we could duke it out. Although, come to think of it, I don't remember which class I was playing most frequently in BC2 last. I'm also not as good at the second as I was at the first.
  16. In the first game, they were absolute tits. With the last gun you unlock, the super fast one (p2000 or something? been ages since I played), you could dash around and take folks out better than the shotgun at close range, then rig the chests with a ton of C4 till they blew with a few other engies or respawns, avoiding the alarm. Didn't quite work that way in the sequel, though.
  17. Even if you don't care much for Anime, you should watch this show: http://www.hulu.com/the-tatami-galaxy If you like the band Asian Kung-Fu Generation, the guy that does their cover art also did the character designs for this show. Also, Kaiba, if you can find it. Looks like they have some of it on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_C3OYsktI4 They're actually both from the same director, and they're some of the most unique and wonderful shows I've seen, anime or not. I've watched some anime on and off over the years, but aside from these, there haven't been any shows to perk my interest recently.
  18. My first experience with Doom, Descent, Heretic and Warcraft all came on one convenient Shareware disc - it came with some Soundblaster card my dad bought. When my mom saw what Doom looked like though, well, that's a whole story in and of itself. (tl;dr version is I learned how to install video games on my own as a young kid) I also remember when PC Gamer magazine would send out issues with a disk that would have something like 300 shareware demos on it. Those were the days. Wish I still had all that stuff... it would be fun to go through and install them now, but I gave all my old games and discs to the girl I was dating in high school once I moved to college for... no reason I can figure out now.
  19. GAH, Sierra. If there's one thing in gaming I truly lament, it's the downfall of Sierra. I actually grew up in the tiny town that Sierra Online was based and knew a number of people who had relatives who worked there. One of my friends was always getting Sierra games before they released because his Dad worked there. Growing up obsessed with video games, it was my absolute dream to work there when I was older. But no, they had to get bought out and sold left and right until there was nothing left, and their original properties had been either abandoned or horribly molested (twice, for poor Leisure Suit Larry). It's really a shame - I have such fond memories of all of those games. I could go on for ages, but as cripplingly buggy as those games were, they had some of the best writing and most heart I've ever seen. One of my best friends had the Commander Keen games, and I was always wanting to go over to his house and play them. I'd never seen anything like it then. (But I was five and living in the mountains, so, I guess that would be pretty obvious). Nostalgia's gonna kill me someday.
  20. Stay strong! Keep it long! Broken image?
  21. My family would often watch this bootleg we taped off of the TV when I was like five called 'The Box of Delights,' this BBC production of a children's book (Christmas based). We only had the first half taped though, so until they released the DVD a few years ago, I had never seen the whole thing. It's fun, even if the special effects are ridiculous now.
  22. I don't know where the day went. Oh wait. Found it. It's over here.

Lets be fair. Your brain has memory troubles.

  23. No Jack, it's fine. I'll just be over here for a minute.
  24. Why? Ah, the speculative fiction aspect along with the apparently heightened 'America, Fuck Yeah' nature just isn't my digs. I prefer my politics in gaming to look like the intro to the Black Ops Nazi zombies - with mortal enemies palling about and cracking jokes. [EDIT] Well that's not exactly true. I'm all up for edgy politics in gaming, just not when it's riffing off of something that is certainly one possibility for the near future, and when it seems, if Kotaku's impressions were any indication, to make the player 'pissed off' at North Korea. It's just not something that it sounds like I would enjoy playing.
