The jumping is quite floaty in those games, particularly Morrowind. But ohh, I loved Morrowind's customizable spells and being able to power up and leapfrog across the continent in a few bounds.

I'll be honest, I don't understand half the strips on this site (and I think there's actually a blog devoted to that), but the strips are more often than not pure genius. The bottom strip in this panel is the hardest I've laughed at a comic strip in some time. What are your favorite strips? Post 'em! And your thoughts in general on the strip. Discuss! [EDIT] I've got to say, sometimes the mouseover title tags make the strip - so link the strip rather than the image if that's the case.

I can't play MMOs or Elder Scrolls games without jumping every step of the way. Just makes you feel like you're getting there faster. Or something.

I could really, reaaaaally go for some fancy Mexican restaurant food right now. Had the best nachos of my life a few weeks ago. I promise they tasted a zillion times better than they look there on that crappy cell phone pic. Loads of ground beef, an excess of cheddar and mozarella cheese, a truckload of guac, sliced tomatoooooes, sour cream, olives, refried beeeans. Man. It was amazing. So... hungry...

I'd really like a zoom lens. Had one on my old camera, but don't have that one anymore. So many times there's something awesome far away and... I only have macro and wide angle. Boo. I also want a new laptop. The fan on this one blew out the first week I had it, and I was too stupid to do any warranty junk... So it gets really hot just doing basic stuff (ie. can't game on it), to like 80-90c, and is hideously loud with this high-pitched whirring sound. But I don't really have the extra $500-1000 to spare for either of these things right now. Also, I want a Shiba. And a cat of any sort. But in this city, no one renting you a place wants you to have pets. BOO to that I say.

Ha. I remember in grade school our teachers promised us that people only wrote in cursive in 'the real world.' Pretty sure that was just how they got us to stop complaining and learn the stuff. I don't remember if I still can - I'd have to try, but I'm assuming so. That said, I don't really like writing by hand, typing just works with my brain far more.

I'm afraid I'll never beat 4. I was playing obsessively, trying to get all the rainy day components, maybe about 70% of the way through and my PS3 died, taking all my save data with it, and some sixty hours or more. Sad day. Sad damn day. Same with Digital Devil Saga. I was on the last boss of the second game and *blip* Farking Sony, PS3s aren't supposed to break.

Just Cause 2 is completely ridiculous... but it can be fairly pretty.

I luuuurve me some SMT. Only came onboard once P3 first released, but then I became obsessed. I absolutely LOVED Digital Devil Saga - the story was so fresh and unique, and about 80% of the voice acting for the localized version was really impressive. I've been crossing my fingers waiting for an HD SMT, and it looks like Catherine is the first step, even if it's not a 'true' SMT game as some have lectured me. But I don't care. I wants it.

If you want some beautiful, pseduo-classical strings and piano in your life, I highly recommend Rachel's: Their albums tend to swing between stunningly gorgeous (like this song), and somewhat dissonant, and a lot of the tracks seem to be a redux of others, but still. Arghh. Gorgeous.

I love cheese. I sometimes buy shaved Parmesan and eat it as is, snack-wise, like chips. So grooood.

And it only took me 283 hours across three and a half playthroughs! ...but still managed to be easier than The Last Remnant. I actually really liked the Last Remnant, despite all the poor reviews. I never finished it though. Not even close. The amount of shit to do and collect in that game is RIDICULOUS. I got sidetracked after fifty hours or so trying to do all the random quests and just finally gave up. I did like that game though - I thought all the hate was very much misdirected.

I love that series too fucking much. I watched this scene so many times some five years ago. It was about the best thing ever in my anime induced haze, then. Shame the clip doesn't include the rest of the scene/song, on the scooter.

After my failure hosting a Black Ops server, I vote down. Then again, if we get enough folks playing and I like the game enough, I might end up donatin'. Just'sayin'not'a'promisin'.
