  1. This is for my laptop's desktop (harahar). And yeah... it's been like this for a year or so. In fact there's more icons on my desktop you just can't see because there's not enough room. And no, I don't use them. I've just been too lazy to clean it up for that long. I basically don't use my desktop except for random storage. So bad.
  2. Ooh. I like smooves first picture a lot, and mudkip's lights pic. Very nice.
  3. I only got about half way through, but mostly because I was watching it as it was airing and the subbers took a long break for a while. I usually love everything Bones does, but that series felt a little disappointing for me.
  4. Finally finished the last Tennant special. Boy, that was something. Ready as I am for the new Doctor, Tennant will always be the Doctor for me.
  5. In a while? Your years are like days to us, aren't they.
  6. I'm leaning toward New Vegas since I've played through the beginning of Fallout 3 like, uh, three times.
  7. Why have I not watched this movie yet!? I feel like a bad person. Too many movies to watch! Alright. You all just linked three amazing movies in a row. Once - gahh. The soundtrack is soooooooooooooooo good. I listen to it all the time. And it's a lovely film, it really is. Amazing when musicians can actually act - and I love them in this, because they're so real and awkward. Never Let Me Go. Holy shit. I don't know how that didn't get better reviews. I didn't read the book, but that movie - I get chills just thinking about it. It was gorgeous, in every respect and haunting to no end. Carey Mulligan - if you're not in love with her yet, you will be. And the guy that got cast as the new Spidey - he's excellent (and has awesome hair), and a wonderful foil for Mulligan. Those two do 'acting with the eyes' better than most A-listers. It's one of the best movies of the year in my opinion. And then Black Swan - oh boy. So good. Definitely not a 'feel-good' but a tense masterpiece and work of genius. I was more terrified in parts of that movie than any recent horror movie. You must watch them ALL and soon!!
  8. You know, I was jonesing for some Fallout 3 (I have it on console, didn't get very far) a while back, and was going to re-buy it for Steam, but I'm not so sure anymore. I've recently gotten into Stalker, and for me, it's like Fallout 3 except prettier and with more enjoyable combat. Also a bit less insane with the amount of stuff you can do (which is always a problem with me - I get sidetracked to no end), but no less involving. If New Vegas goes on a crazy deal, I might get that though.
  9. Ohh, I haven't seen the trailer for Paul yet. Kind of tempted not to watch it for some reason... movie's gonna be amazing, and I get weird about wanting to watch awesome stuff in a certain mood. Also, the two diedan posted - these are things I wish to see as well.
  10. I can't eat cold pizza. I don't know why, but I just don't see the appeal. This is why we have microwaves and toaster ovens. Also, Domino's doesn't really count since it's about as much food as it is cotton candy, but that stuff you absolutely NEED a microwave if you want to eat it the next day. It becomes somewhere between cardboard and rock until you nuke it.
  11. My backlog is even longer than yours, Ethan, but I'm far too lazy to post the whole thing. And I'm about to add to it big time with these Steam sales... shit. I got a Gamefly sub though, solely with the intention of plowing through linear console games and actually finishing them. Still need to finish Dante's Inferno... god, that game sucks.
  12. I teared up at Toy Story 3, but I was bawling at Up... like right after the movie started. Then again, I was also about a half a bottle of wine deep.
  13. That's correct. I'm too ugly to post here. PARADOX. Oh... I get it...
  14. Somehow got a 37/40 on my Stats Final - which means I'm passing the class, graduating, and maybe even getting a good grade. Getting extremely drunk tonight and buying a bunch of Steam games in celebration.

Nice work! I will have a drink in your honor! (Oh, I would have had had drink anyway...but, but I'll have an EXTRA one!)

Make sure you buy the games before getting wasted, I'd hate for you to end up with Barbie's Horse Adventure.

Thanks folks! And... but... this was my one chance to finally have the excuse to get that game... = |

  15. Holy crap. Stuff is up and this looks like the best Xmas sale yet. Even the first day has tons of stuff I want to buy - but the indie pack bundles are ridiculous too, as are some of the other 'all sale-long' deals. And this is only the first day for dailies? My bank account's in trouble...
  16. It usually changes the Daily Deals, but pretty much all the games will be on sale (except COD's) for a consistent discount throughout the next 2-3 weeks. So it's best to only buy things in the Daily Deals, wait until the last day to make sure you don't go 'Oooh 30 % off!' then the next day its 90% off in the daily deal. This. In other news, though the daily deals aren't up front page yet, I'm sure they will any moment... Annnnny moment now... Also, Super Meat Boy is $3.75 - wondering if that's one of the 'daily deals' we can't see yet, cause that's a ripping discount for a game that was just released, indie or not.
  17. I'm assuming they'll have it on one of the daily specials, like last year. Crysis, the MP and the expansion were all on sale for like $12 or something.
  18. Steam is currently being crushed by the Black Friday-esque digital stampede. Specials don't seem to be up yet, far as I can see. BOO. Eager curiosity is interrupting my studying.
  19. Firefly was excellent. I remember seeing the preview for Serenity and thinking it looked like awful cheese, wondering what the big deal was. But then my mom visited for the holiday and I saw it in theaters (since she was a huge fan of the show) and was blown away. Went back and watched the TV series and loved the hell out of it. Such a wonderful, unfortunately handled series (Fox strikes again) - still amazed and happy they got their feature film though. That's more than a lot of great TV series can say.
  20. It's good that you can manually opt in, but stuff like this and the various rumbles over here currently at works just keep reminding me that net neutrality is on a timed lease. Someday we're going to look back and say, 'Yep, I lived in the era of the Wild Web.' Eventually, pirating music, games, movie, television, porn - that's all going to end for the casual consumer, and you're really going to watch where you surf - moreso than now.
  21. When I was a kid I loved the $1 store because it meant my mom would actually buy me a toy - because hey, it was $1, why not.
  22. I keep forgetting Natalie Portman is in this movie. When I first saw the still shots of Asgard (?) I was horrified by how cheesy they looked, but I actually thought the trailer looked fun. Who knows - I'll probably watch it. And as not a huge Thor fan, I probably won't mind if it's not terrific, as long as it's entertaining.
  23. YES. Mushi-shi was incredible. I never finished the series, though I think I have it all on a massive external HDD of unwatched anime somewhere... The OP - so good!
  24. I've been told I need to play Okami. So many times. And I'm pretty sure I really do. Someday! I can't remember if 7 made me cry, but I'm sure one of the Final Fantasy games have. Maybe 8? (Believe it or not) MGS3 was incredibly sad. It was one of those games I got to the last Boss (har) and never finished and later lost my save. Argh. Are they still bringing Shadow of the Colossus to PS3 in one of those 'HD upgrades'? Because I really need to play that game too...
