  1. I like the climbing in the inFAMOUS series, it's just climbing down you have to think through. That's especially true when you've attracted enemy attention. Not to mention they fixed the problem of not being able to climb chain link fences in the sequel. There's even a trophy for do so. Maybe it's for balancing, but I found that there were not nearly as many recharge spots (or what have you) in the sequel as there were in the first game. Basically New Marais vs. Empire City. I guess that's more realistic though because it would essentially be comparing New Orleans to New York City.
  2. Only? That's pretty friggin' high. And I believe it could have been higher, but the hiccups that you'd come across detract from the experience. A perfect example are the Ice Ally missions. Sometimes the guy helps you, and other times he stuck on something and you're fighting alone.
  3. It's Chapter 8-2 In the comments, someone mentions you can complete this in one turn, which is possible. However, it requires you to have Lv. 14+ Scouts, and so you're still using the Scout method. The two turn method is a bit safer, but it's still crazy stupid.
  4. But Sasha tries to manipulate you, and the reason why she became angered with Kessler was because she was unable to control Kessler. After all, Kessler is the second strongest Conduit in the inFAMOUS universe, right under the Beast. It was only because of his age that Cole could defeat him, but even then, right down to his last health point, Kessler didn't show any sign of weakening. I wonder, now that Cole knows (inFAMOUS 2 material)
  5. I'm not confident in Green Lantern. It'll probably be the movie I see this weekend for Father's Day, but I've always been hesitant about Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan. The only compliment I've (universally) heard about the movie is that it's "visually stunning." Otherwise, critics have been tearing Green Lantern a new one.
  6. I finished inFAMOUS 2 a while ago, but now I'm working on trophies so that means I'm going all evil now. I really don't like Nix, at all. There are times where you do feel for her, but then she says something and it's like, "Well, forget you then..." If you go Good ending, the story makes sense. With the Evil ending, it's very counter intuitive to the plot of the first inFAMOUS. With spoilers:
  7. Nothing against Robin Williams, but I still prefer this commercial.
  8. Yes, I too have a fondness for Marina, a.k.a the best sniper in VC. And I kinda got a thing for chicks like her... but definitely not a preference.
  9. I'm gonna get the Platinum in inFAMOUS 2 considering I'm waiting on a price drop for the new Alice. Kinda sad I missed the Amazon sale where it was $45, like, a month before release.

  10. In further hindsight, I can take Dark Knight seriously when compared to anything Val Kilmer did as Batman, and: I won't mention the other one, but with how tacky, cheesy, and zany some previous Batman films were I can look pass a burn victim and a guy in an armored bat suit talking about humanity.
  11. I was thinking of this just this morning. I want to say first that VCII does have Welkin and Alicia and they do play more of a role than just a small cameo. It's not as great as the first, but it's a good sequel on a handheld that makes up for it's lack of large/epic missions with a lot of smaller side missions. I have yet to finish the sequel as I'm the type to try and explore. Spent too many hours, but I should get back to it and just gun it to the end. The first/original is a must for every PS3 owner. It is a strategy game that anyone can enjoy. As has been said, it's one broken element is the ranking system. It's something I fell was brought over by someone from Sonic Team because, like in Sonic, the amount of turns(time) determines that rank. So yes, all you need to do in most missions for an S rank is to buff up Alicia and have her gun-ho it. One mission requires you to have Welkin race to the tank, drive said tank through the enemy's gate, defeat the enemies guarding the post, and finally have a scout claim the post. It's the craziest and most nonstrategic plan, EVER! Alicia is still one of my favorite female leads.
  12. There's lightning in the air... What a perfect night to play more inFAMOUS 2!

  13. I use grape, but in my experience, strawberry has a huge following as well. So yeah, I wonder if we should have a PB&J thread. What kind of peanut butter? What kind of bread? Crust or no crust?
  14. I think he's more so a comic relief rather than being a half-wit. After all, he made the Amp and he does know a lot about the machines and devices in the game. There's a line where Cole questions Zeke's use of technical jargon when you're about to restore power to various generators for the first time. Zeke mentions how Cole dropped out of college while he at least took shop, or something to that regard.
  15. Two forks and two spoons. We're still missing quite a few forks. It's possible they're under some of his clothes, but... Really, there were things I touched that I ran to wash my hands. One of the spoons had something slimy on it because I tried pulling a napkin off of it and there was a trail of clear ooze.
  16. Reggie says the Wii U can support two of the new Wii U controllers. Kinda what I figured, but I think the point is that there's still research going into the capabilities of the thing. IGN
  17. Yeah, I would still stick with the Wi-Fi model. I normally don't download anything unless I'm home. Getting my free copy of ModNation Racers on PSP took two hours.
  18. We happen to be missing half of our forks, so my other two roommates and I took it upon ourselves to venture into the "trouble" roommate's room. We believe he has been hording silverware. I almost threw up when I entered the room. Imagine the smell of a pet store, but imagine still that all the pets have been pissing everywhere. That's about the same smell as this room. I could go into detail of the condition of the room, but I don't want anyone to be disgusted as much as I was. Believe me, it was ridiculous. Still, we found some silverware, but somehow half of it is missing. Needless to say, we're going to put the fear into this nincompoop and there's no holding back. P.S. In hindsight, I should have worn gloves.
  19. Wi-Fi is growing bigger, but not every public place has open/free Wi-Fi. Sure you've got McDonald's and airports, but 3G right now has that "anywhere" presence. Not to say it literally is everywhere, but you're probably more likely to want 3G if you have the urge to be online while outside Wi-Fi business locations.
  20. I found this to be very educational and entertaining.
  21. Finished inFAMOUS 2 earlier this morning. The last two bosses are fun, but also rather simple. Assuming they go with the Good Ending as canon, it'll be hard to see where a sequel could come into play. I mean, I have a theory, but it's not an exciting one either. With the Evil Ending, I see a lot of potential, though it's bothersome.
  22. I thought I was done with the term, but right after my last final, the instructor wanted us to meet later in the week to run more statistics. I was so invigorated yesterday, but now I'm all kinds of "2.5 hours of sleep" pissed.

  23. Alright, I'm only online for this one post because I ran across something interesting in inFAMOUS 2. For my breaks (from my paper and final), I'll hop onto the game for a bit and play around with side missions and possibly advance the story. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W88tpuacDR4 Yes, that is my [amazingly] handsome voice, and yes, I do realize my cameraman abilities precede me. Nothing huge, but I would definitely say that inFAMOUS 2 only goes up to a 9/10 game. That doesn't sound bad, but I believe the game could have been fantastic rather than really great if it were not for some glitches and bugs in side missions (and elsewhere). Trust me, sometimes it will benefit you to die during missions so that everything can "reset" itself.
  24. My impression is that Gearbox was left with a corpse, and much like the plot of Weekend at Bernie's, it was to be paraded around like a true living being capable of great feats.
  25. Heck yeah I'll put money on that Kirby. Kinda wish they gave it a better name, or at least a subtitle like Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards.
