  1. "Download Complete" I'll watch it however many times I want, MUHAHAHAHA!
  2. Whenever I talk to diehard fans of Harry Potter, they can never admit to the epilogue basically amounting to horrible fan fiction. Really, it was like Rowling wanted to please fans to the point she began researching all the non-erotic fanfics online about Harry & Co.'s "future." It's the only explanation for those horrible names.
  3. I really should get on that one. The person below me loves me for my beautiful mind.
  4. I like IGN... Usually about 15% of it at least. I trust the IGN Catherine review because I don't see why else there would be a motive to "buffer" the score. Maybe if this was some popular installment in "Hardcore Mancorps Xtreme Shooter Punks," I would be wary of it all.
  5. So Amazon's Blu-ray Deal of the Week is that each volume of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is $19.99. I'm kinda wishing Catherine would release later now.

I don't buy physical media for anything but games now, but that sounds pretty awesome. Amazon always has such great sales. It's a shame that their TV/movie rentals/purchases are handled so poorly.

      Digital rentals/purchases, I mean.

Amazon.ca pretty much never has awesome deals like that, as far as I'm aware :(

  6. Yeah, Sin & Punishment 1 was like one of the first "Import" titles on the Virtual Console.
  7. Playing L.A. Noire and I finished a case I didn't realy want to as soon. I forgot that you have to be in a cop car to receive messages like when looking for a cab driver.

When I tried to find the cab driver, he was a few streets away from the icon, standing on top of his cab. As soon as I hit talk, we all teleported to the proper location, and he was back in his cab.

  8. L.A. Noire, but it's a rental and I might have to return it before I finish it. It's $2 a day, so right now the game is costing me $6 and I'm about halfway. I think I might stop caring about the little things in the game and go on a rampaging detective of justice where cars explode and people are merely speed bumps.
  9. Pfft, you wanna know what I drew when I was 12? MAMA FRICKIN' LUIGI!
  10. Good news: Foul One is moving out in five days! Considering he thought he was "attacked" because my other roommate put a marshmallow in his food, I think it will be quite a pleasure to have him gone.

Same here. Where else am I going to get those kinds of stories? Because you don't come across that kind of roommate in all those "OMG MAH ROOMMATE IS HORRIBLE" blogs.

It's not as bad RockyRan, buuuut: www.hejibits.com The first comics are about a horrible roomate.

Thanks Advent, I will have to show a few more people those comics.

  11. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/gt-pop-block-bioshock-infinite/717540 Alright, if you watched the demo video, watch GT's Pop-Block because there are more tidbits that are really cool like...
  12. Oooooooooh yeah! True, never have played any Omnimusha game and have never finished any of the Donkey Kong Country games for the SNES. The person below me however has never played a Metal Slug game!
  13. Rather than attending a midnight showing of Deathly Hallows pt. 2, I've rented L.A. Noire from Redbox!

I got back from it. It was good, but other than a Zombie Dobby, I wasn't feeling the crowd. You can read more on my experience over on the Entertainment Exchange board.

Rather than attending a midnight showing of Deathly Hallows pt. 2, I'm an adult. =p

  14. Seriously, it's better than Episode 2 and that episode was really hilarious. I almost want to show you a clip, but I feel like that would be spoiling.
  15. Ugh, why did I click on that link?! It was an ignorant nincompoop's electronic diarrhea, something no one wants to look at or be near.
  16. I love the rain, and I laughed while my fellow coworkers ran back inside because of a little water. As I was walking to my car, it got A LOT heavier and lightning began striking around me. I thought, "Alright, I could see myself dying this way."

Your wicked past unfolded; you thought of wasted years ...

  17. One of the key points to Catherine is that there are no correct answers. Again, coming from that article I read, just like the puzzles in the game, there are many answers and endings in relationships between men and women. I guess it's why relationship "advice" is such a gray area and one method results in many outcomes. It'll be interesting to see what endings we all will receive because I am definitely getting this Day One!
  18. I think what I said relates well to the game. Vincent, perhaps by default (without our interaction), is scared of adult pressures and avoids anything that might "set" his future. (This is what the PlayStation magazine article mentions, and judging by the trial, you can see it in comparison to his friends.) That's what I have a problem with as far as that logic goes. Not towards the game, but the idea that doing things like having kids and/or getting married sets a future and that you are "trapped." I guess I got a little off aim with my point, perhaps offended a few, but I don't agree that only certain events and procedures set one's future. Even when you're married you're set in an open world with countless possibilities. It's not like tying the knot is done around one's neck. EDIT: Another thing is I realize you guys don't have the perspective upon the relationship of my uncle, and etc, so the emotion that looms over it is hard to put to text. It may very well be another "Catherine" moment since his partner acts like they are married, but again, there's not much commitment since there are always periods of "splitting."
  19. There's a lot of chatter about the Netflix price increase, but if I remember correctly, Netflix had previously LOWERED their price before this. Either way, I've only ever streamed movies. Also, is everyone aware that Redbox does videogame rentals now?

When they introduced streaming only 6 months ago it was cheaper than anything else they offered. That's the lower prices people are thinking of.

    3. RockyRan

      RockyRan

IIRC they didn't actually lower any prices. They raised the then-lowest-tier plan of 1 movie + unlimited streaming up by $1 a month, then introduced a streaming-only plan that was $1 less than the then-lowest price.

It was a bit of fancy footwork, but yes they did raise the price.

    4. CorgiShinobi

      CorgiShinobi

That's right! I remember now... I had the streaming + 1 DVD plan, but I never intended to rent any DVDs. So, when the streaming only plan came out, I had a cheaper plan.

  20. See, this is what the PlayStation magazine was talking about that got my interested; that we have control over Vincent's thoughts, thus multiple endings along with dialogue. The text message system is a little goofy (cycle through dialogue with X and O), but I like the way we can interact with other characters. What I also like is the weird and artistic nature of Vincent's life. When he first woke up with sheep eyes, that was trippy. Looks like there will be other twists and unique turns around each corner. Also, I like Katherine. I mean, they're trying to make her come off as a bit controlling, but considering she and Vincent have been dating for years (I believe I read somewhere it was five years), I can see why she wants an answer from Vincent on whether their relationship is going to progress or stay in the "safe zone." What I've read is that there is a recent trend in Japan where young men simply wish to not marry their girlfriend though they are absolutely in love. It's not that they have some "male freedom" issue, but that to them marriage sets their future. It reminds me of my uncle, a man who has been with this one woman for almost 15 years. She likes to call my grandmother "Mom," but even my grandmother who is at the age of 87 can grasp how backwards their relationship is. No kids, no commitments other than the promise that they'll stick around. To think, all those years and all that's stopping one of them from leaving is the idea of wasted time.
  21. While I can easily live with out the season box sets, I have to have the Star Wars parodies as fast as possible. After my lil' vacation, I went to Best Buy and got this baby on Blu-ray!
  22. The Catherine demo came out today, but I decided to waste time watching Half-Blood Prince with a bunch of people I barely know?! WHAT IS WRONG?!!

It's always the same thing with Harry Potter movies, you look at the movie posters/cover and see Harry and you can hear an inner voice telling you "Will Harry get laid with Hermione this time? Watch and find out!"

  23. I seriously wouldn't doubt Crecente is mistaking one of the multiple accounts of banned individuals like WhiteMage for Dean. With how often it was going on, keeping track was like herding cats.
