  1. Whenever I can't be Atomsk88, I'm Sheikah88. Seeing as how I got my PS3 in 2008, via MGS4 bundle, I was very late to stake the name. Either way, I've got names that very few can pronounce. "Hey, Sheik guy!"
  2. I figure I'll put this up now, for future reference. GMT: -7
  3. Five Guys > In-N-Out Yeah, I just had In-N-Out a few days ago for the first time. I had Five Guys about a month earlier for the first time too. I like everything more in Five Guys than In-N-Out, though the fries I have a hard time deciding on. While I'm not too big on the taste of Five Guys' fries, with In-N-Out it's like I'm eating a potato chip instead of fries.
  4. Yeah, I'd like to know what the Line Gun trick is! It would be nice to have that Platinum.
  5. The new trailer pretty much explains why people will give it a chance: violence, nudity, and humor. I don't have fond memories of the series, but that trailer got a few laughs out of me, i.e. "Ah hell, I'd still hit it."
  6. I'm definitely going to get the Team Ico collection, mainly because I've never owned them before. I've had chances to get SotC, but I'm holding out.
  7. Well, as I was saying above, yeah I've gone through the history. It didn't start out as a battle of good vs. evil, but about human survival, business, and douchebaggery. There were wars, but nothing along the lines of "Light Against the Dark." It only began resembling a good vs. evil struggle after Visari's coup turned the Helghan government into a fascist-totalitarian empire.
  8. So how did she end up with it for free? I'm confused. She paid for it, but a few days later the seller gave her a full refund and sent her the DVDs. My only guess is that they really wanted Friends out of their household.
  9. Dead Space has Impossible Mode, which as the name implies is very, very hard! Really, there's a reason why it's unlocked after playing the game once: Your prior experience is key to success. You have much fewer resources and about any enemy can kill you in a few seconds. It's not uncommon to have wasted a few hours in Impossible and have your progress prevented by insufficient supplies.
  10. The only way I can describe the above video is "delicious."
  11. Hmm, I didn't think about framerate. As for widescreen, I think that depends on the games, or at least parts of the game. I don't know about God of War, but for the Prince of Persia games, all the in-game cutscenes were cropped. So at times you'll have the Prince's head partially off-screen. Most of the time it's fine, but it's not perfect. While PS2 games can benefit, with Metal Gear Solid, I can't really understand the urge to have a PS1 game in 1080p. For me, I already have the previous Metal Gear Solid collection as I never owned the games before. So, like, is the "HD remake" going to make that much of a difference? For others I guess it supposedly will as those with multiple editions of the game want it.
  12. I'm going to have to put Dead Space 2 on hold. I don't have the money, as in my last paycheck was ridiculously low because we had Christmas vacation. Only reason I have LittleBigPlanet 2 is because I had done some trade-ins. When I get the cash, I quickly purchase the thing, but I would have to say that might be in late April.
  13. He's a fat chump who takes steroids. I can already see his defeat. Because those pills shorten your life, the guy is going to try to take enough to obliterate Luffy as it turns out Luffy has become ridiculously stronger in the past two years. As such, even though he obtains the power, he only lives for less than 10 minutes (or so).
  14. Alright, I thought I would start a topic on this after hearing about a possible Metal Gear Solid collection for the PS3. Lately we've been receiving quite a bit of these collections for games such as God of War and Prince of Persia. I have to ask though, what exactly is the big deal with the collections? I understand in that you get a whole series, such as I did with the Sands of Time trilogy. However, if you already have the games, why should you become ecstatic? Truth be told, the games are displayed in HD, but that's merely resolution. If it's a PS2 game, it's going to look like a PS2 game but with no worry of upscaling. All I can think really is that these collections offer trophies, and perhaps fans of the games want to pay to be awarded trophies.
  15. Seriously, my grandmother had a Wii. I say had because one of my uncles has it now
  16. Isn't it amazing when people get that lucky? I had a friend who got the entire Friends series for FREE because supposedly the quality wasn't as described. They worked great for her so we don't know what the seller was talking about.
  17. Well good thing there was more than four dungeons and one could teleport rather than sail to each end of the map, otherwise I would agree. Only thing I loathe in the game is the Triforce hunt, not much else aside that part. EDIT: Anyway, yes new Zelda and a few other games. They're kinda hidden and... you know, I'm not even sure what the heck is coming out for the 3DS...
  18. Kubo has the flu, so uh... TIME TRAVEL!
  19. Part of me wants to be an early adopter for the sake of blowing the minds of my roommates. I mean, if an HDTV can get you howling wild, imagine what glasses-free 3D will do! I'll probably have to hold the thing cause one of them might start having a bad trip.
  20. Wind Waker begs to differ with you... Well Wind Waker is just a great game, so I don't see how an inanimate object is going to beg regardless to whom.
  21. Does anyone read these mangas anymore? I guess there's not much to talk about except Kakashi is on a RAMPAGE!
  22. I finished the Story today, and I will say that every game coming out later this year is going to have to really convince me that it deserves GOTY more than LBP2. I'm not even sure how to describe this to you guys. I mean, the sequel has built itself upon the foundation of the first and exploded! The charm is greatly enhanced by the characters, and just some of the things you overcome in each level makes me amazed at how someone could make such a level. I mean, theoretically, anyone could make the same levels with the tools presently available to them in Creation. I've got to say though, they must be magician.
  23. Good News: I got a date for Saturday.

      That's the Judges Panel.

And quite possibly the "secret" camera crew.

    4. Hot Heart

      Hot Heart

      I have a date for Saturday too. It's: 22nd January 2011. ololololol

  24. I just want a car with an audio jack so I can play my MP3 player. Nope, I got a model of car where that wasn't commonplace yet.
  25. We do have the new Zelda on its way, and Zelda has never disappointed. Conduit 2 will be arriving, and it promises to be a better experience. The first handled great, it was just mediocre in setting and story. Truth be told there are games I could purchase for the Wii and very much enjoy. Such games include de Blob (de Blob 2 is coming), Sin & Punishment 2, even the big names like Kirby and Donkey Kong. However, I only have so much income and PS3 games like LittleBigPlanet and and Killzone win out. That said, I'm pretty much in the same boat as Yantelope. I do play it every now and then with friends and roommates still, just not as actively. Really, so many people have, or at least have played, a Wii that the console sales were destine to fall sooner. It was a mad holiday item, twice!
