I'm really picky when it comes to anime. Not so much what I like, but what I'm willing to give a chance. Most of the anime I own are the ones I would watch on Cartoon Network and Adult Swim. Rarely do I ever go outside that bubble to find shows like Gurren Lagann and Code Geass unless there is a lot of talk revolving around them. I will say, I have some interest in the movie Summer Wars after picking up an anime magazine. Hey, it had FLCL as its cover story!

Some cars have that now! (Unless that was your point ) I couldn't find the commercials, but here's a demonstration from Ford.

Games you like that everyone else seems to hate
CorgiShinobi replied to Mister Jack's topic in General Gaming Chat
Hug me my brother! BioShock 2 actually had improvements from the original, but it seems like everyone brought it down because, "But BioShock didn't need a sequel, BAAAW!" The one thing I would change more than anything is EDIT: Other games people be hatin' on, but I love/like... Prince of Persia '08 Sonic and the Secret Rings I might have said Shadow the Hedgehog as well, but truth be told I wasn't going to sit through the game 16 times to receive the secret ending. The branching paths existed through taking different paths in the levels, so I can't say I particularly cared for the method. -
Lordy, I'll never forget the first time out on the highway in Driver's Ed. Since I lived in a valley, the highway was basically the exit. That exit had a long, wide river on one side, and on the other was a never-ending wall of rock! Anyway, if we have automatic cars in the future, perhaps we would have a new system for motor vehicles. As in, say, you don't need a license to ride in an automatic vehicle. Yet, you can purchase vehicles with a Manual Mode, but to do so you would need to earn a license. That license would be more than a card, it would be the key to access the Manual Mode of any vehicle.

Well I thought we'd have more NA than UK members playing the glorious LBP2. I guess I'll hold out until the 21st to gush about, you know, everything!

Bahaha, I wouldn't say $250 is overpriced for the 3DS. Now, the games supposedly inching towards $50, yeah, that's a bit too high. Still, I'm not going to have the finances by March 27th of this year. Maybe if I had a better job by now, I'd be close. Heck, the only reason why I was able to purchase the Nintendo Wii by myself (no gift certificates or anything) was due to budgeting months in advance. I think in time the 3DS will prove itself. Last I heard it did have multimedia options, and we'll have to see what appears on the online store.

Hey, the new game is out. Post something!

Well, as far as Bluetooth goes, I thought the Sony PS3 headset received highly positive reviews. I mean, the thing is specifically designed for the machine. Right now I have a headset with a USB adapter and have yet to test it out. I guess no one wants to play together on LittleBigPlanet 2. :'(

Subconsciously I have been dying to listen to this song once more. A MAN NAMED HULA PUNGA!

Back in December, I only treated myself to a Tron: Legacy figure: Quorra. Obviously it's a 4" figure, but it was only $9.00 total. One flaw was the left arm didn't fully articulate, and as such broke! Nothing brush-on super glue can't fix, but now the arm is gimped as it can't articulate at all in the one joint.

As far as language and grammar, take a deep breath. I too write out almost all of my words in texts, but just because someone will use "l8r" or "U" shouldn't be classified as an idiot. The March of Technology, as we'll call it, is also a march towards simplicity. Everything becomes easier in time. Truth be told, I think the acceleration of technology also makes one feel older. I mean, there was just an issue on how children communicate. Are we going to talk about the music they listen to as well? Oh wait, we already mentioned Bieber. You know, I use to have fantastic handwriting. However, as time progressed, everything from education to everyday matters was rushed. Primarily, through note-taking, my handwriting became like some ancient Arabic manuscript. Why? Teachers were taking advantage of technology to display more information in class. My father still has great handwriting, but I'd put money down on it that he didn't have to rush ten pages of notes from a PowerPoint. Forget Print or Cursive, by handwriting is like a hybrid of the two after ten years. Hell, I'd say sometime in the future my kids will be able to forge my signature because my signature is rarely consistent. Then again, who can really write on current electronic signature pads. Slitl, dlaorls to dnotus yu'lol be albe to raed tihs bcuseae wr'ee flmiaizreaid to tshee wrdos.

If it weren't for PSN stuff and firmware updates, I'd look into it. I did have my PSP hacked, but I restored it back to factory settings when I couldn't wait anymore on the custom firmware updates. I had Final Fantasy VII for two months because it required the latest firmware, so then I said 'eff it. I believe about two months later the custom firmware was available.

I traded in Trauma Center: Second Opinion and three other games so I could pre-order...

I was ready to go spend de moneys, but as I was at the bank, I soon realized I've only been paid for two days of work.

For all the smack Wind Waker received for looking "kiddy," to my recollection it had the goriest boss death of the whole series. Not to spoil it, but...

My only logical reasoning for liking the Helghast is because they look cool. I guess it follows suit with the "villains look cool" clause you see a lot. I actually took it upon myself to read Killzone "history" and the Helghast stem from a bunch of rich douchebags. In short, the ancestors screwed up and the present day Helghast suffer for it. Considering living on Helghan is dangerous, what with dust storms, lightning, and toxins, you can see why the Helghan people pushed for an invasion on ISA turf. I hope for a truce, written and signed in the blood of Rico!

Ocarina of Time. I love all the Zelda games, reason perhaps as to why the Zelda series is my favorite. That said, I don't care if Majora's Mask was dark and had a non-conventional story in the Zelda mythos. Twilight Princess wasn't as good as expected, but it was still great (sans Hyrule Castle). The only thing that brings Wind Waker down is the accursed Triforce treasure hunt. I could go on, but I'll get to the point: I find absolutely nothing wrong with Ocarina of Time. Sure you could say the Water Temple was a pain, but once you finish it, it's like riding a bicycle. Anyway, everything from the music, the characters, the story, even the environment is superb! If you have to have a princess story, this is the one. Link's background itself sets up for a heroic tale. I mean, you go from the social outcast to the triumphant Hero of Time! What else has Link been? Normally he's a typical farm/village kid while at other times he's already a proven hero. In a sense, it's almost a coming-to-age story as well. He left a young boy, but took on the challenges any average adult would falter under. While you may not see it on his face every time, you experience them. How about when he must say good-bye to his only childhood friend Saria? Of the gripping fear when entering the unknown of Shadow Temple. Facing off against all manner of beast, from the furious Volvagia, the troublesome Twinrova, and finally facing Ganon in the rubble of his fortress. If there was one thing that truly made an impact on me when playing Ocarina of Time, it was without a doubt the music. By far it is the only Zelda game where I can recall each individual piece of music and associate it to a fond memory of my time in Hyrule. Each tune on the ocarina, the stories tied to each note. Truthfully this applies to Majora's Mask as well, which is why it's not to far off from Ocarina of Time in my Top 5. Think back to when Sheik teaches you the temple songs, the description of the past, childhood friends, young love, and that which gives us strength to press forward. Such a fantastic game. :'(

I went through both Warrior Within and Two Thrones HD in the week. Of all the Prince of Persia games, Two Thrones was the only one I owned on GameCube. I figured since I already had Sands of Time and Warrior Within on the PS3, might as well complete the trilogy and get a few trophies too.

FLCL is what solidified my interest in anime. Beforehand it was pretty much the typical male's taste: Dragon Ball Z. Of course I watched other animes like Sailor Moon and the like on Toonami. Tenchi Muyo had a large impact, but it seems more like I was going through a phase with the show. I mean, I could have easily gave up on anime after watching everything Tenchi, even Outlaw Star may have just been through the phase. Something drew me to FLCL when I saw the Adult Swim promo. I knew I had to watch it, and watched every episode I did. They are truly six episodes of perfection. Perhaps if I had watched more Cowboy Bebop as well, I would have had a stronger taste for anime in my youth. Those two shows, I wish more anime were like 'em. Cowboy Bebop comes from a generation of animators who had experience with American culture, and so throughout the series you can see the blending of both Japanese and American. With FLCL, well, I could write a thesis on it. Simply put, it blends both comedy and adult themes very well. It'll have fun, but if you give it your undivided attention, it has possibly the best coming-of-age story. Of course, this is if you can accept the characters and not become distracted by everything else.

Drones did suck, it was kinda universal at least on the official forums where people went to bitch about something to be patched. I mean, if they could focus a bit more on shooting than flying, they would have worked. Drones did have the power to take out healthy opponents. Otherwise, they were giant targets for the opposite team to blow up. Turrets were amazing! As an engineer, I would say half of my kills would come from a well-placed turret. Eventually players would get wise, again, and so the kill count would lower. Still, far more than I ever could get with a single drone in the sky.

I liked Twin Snakes, but I guess people loathe the cutscenes so much because that's always the complaint I hear as to why the game is "awful." So I guess we can chalk it up to every other Metal Gear game too!

If I can contribute once more, the whole "1 pirated copy = 1 lost sale" only applies in the traditional business model. Realistically, it's not accurate and I would assume most companies that meddle in electronic media know that there are pirates and they love the concept of "free." It's almost like trying to keep something secret or secure now; there's always going to be someone out there. That's why I think the strategy most taken is to prevent an increase of piracy. You'd be lying through your teeth, or clueless, if you believed you could prevent all piracy.

Basically a gigantic blister forms, splits open and you find yourself with the largest sore you'll ever have in your life.

I dunno, I thought 6-15 wasn't that bad. I have a 3 Star rating on it and I only used three birds.

Really, the likeliest reason for ever getting a kill with a drone was because the person was almost dead and the drone finished them off with one shot. That's how I got a drone badge, placing the drone outside a prime battle locale where anyone who ran off to heal was greeted by my drone. Of course it wouldn't take long for someone to shoot down my drone, so I went through quite a few drones.
