The NA version was announced like a week ago dude. Bioshock Infinite was announced ages ago and they've detailed much more solid plans for releasing it.

Law is not morality. Piracy is definitely grey and I think you need to provide some proof that is it not. I can think of examples from every single industry for how piracy has helped some specific form of media. Here's the thing: How do you quantify that? Business requires numbers, statistics, figures, etc. Just like with any other industry and its piracy it can be hard to attach a figure to things. There's only evidence such as a band suddenly exploding before their album is officially released and people going to their show and knowing all of the songs. How do you attach a statistic to that? For this reason alone piracy will not be looked on as a positive thing to major game companies and it's left to independents to embrace it and use it to their advantage.

I think it's morally right to share art. Also, what about game developers? What if they don't care about people pirating the game? What are the morals on that? Does it matter what the intent of those who created the object is? As in, does it matter if the person who created it considers the act moral or not? Maybe that shop owner is fine with that poor person stealing that bread.

I wouldn't call the music it in FLCL punk or japanese punk. I know what you're talking about with "punk" and "Japan" in the same sentence but just take a look at those guys. They weren't it.

I swear by amazon, and although I've never had an issue with them in the past, I gotta say this is inexcusable. Knowing how much Amazon can control markets, I wouldn't give up on them not getting you a copy just yet. Someone with an Xbox might have gotten your copy and sent it back.

There's a Joystiq article about places offering gift cards for those who couldn't get the CE... and Amazon isn't doing anything for me. The whole problem with them getting more in stock is that they're not guaranteeing any of that stock to me. Which is what I think the blunder is here. Guarantee that they will do their best to get what I ordered, or offer a refund + something extra.

Not to hop on your junk or whatever, and I really, really sympathize, 'cause I almost got screwed out of the Limited Edition of Catherine on the system I wanted because of some dude's blunder, but did you have to be so snippy with the employee? I mean, it's not like he/she did it. Maybe I'm biased, but I've listened in on my mom and others taking calls in customers service for places like banks, and they get some SERIOUS vitriolic shit they don't deserve.

As someone who bitches about people bitching too much I agree. Very few other publishers have shown such an utter disregard for their audience than Ubisoft and how they've dealt with PC gamers nor has there been such a huge backlash. Look at the MW2 boycott and how that turned out. Of course, that wasn't anything this draconian and that has made a huge difference.

Yes, I did read that. I'm sure most of us have had the experience of getting a gift card from a relative or from your work for a place you didn't care for and couldn't find a deal you liked (this used to happen with best buy and I all the time.) Either way, it's a gift card, you got it for free. It's a gain even if you're paying retail. I see no reason to be upset that you are paying the price it is intended to be sold for.

I certainly stay away from them due to DRM. Even during Steam sales I am opposed to buying their titles.

Odin Sphere is entirely focused on the story of each of the characters and how it all intertwines.

Yes, I know that, I'm an Android user. Are there emulators on the Amazon store? No, there are not. I just looked up one of my faves. "They Need To Be Fed" is not on the Amazon App Store. This is why I'm going to wait it out. I don't believe in limiting myself to one store or another.

Why would I want to root this? Why, to get on topic, so we can actually talk about games. Android market and side-loading provide many more options than Amazon's app-store.

Does this belong in the game section? In the games sense, it's just another android tablet, and one limited to Amazon's app store at that. Anyways, looks good, but I'll wait for root/CM7 and whatnot.
