    You've had Watchmen for that long and haven't read it!??! It's a short read AND it's absolutely fucking amazing. You crazy. Also, watch the ultimate directors cut whatever the fuck version of Watchmen with the tales of the black freighter worked in. Besides the changes at the end (and the cuts that causes in events that lead up to it) it's pretty close to the comic.

And why should Blizzard change their game to cater to this minority/even view them as a target market? This goes beyond DRM as many people have pointed out. Contrary to belief, video game companies aren't intent on fucking people over.

    That just seems like an odd thing for them to do, considering what Diablo and Diablo 2 were like. Hell, they've even opened up StarCraft 2 to modding. I think mods might initially be prohibited (just to keep some players from getting a massive edge over others, and using resulting edge to control the auction houses), but I seriously can't see them keeping mods banned forever. Fans were angry enough over SC2s lack of LAN support. Tossing out mod support isn't going to help them any. I really don't remember any mods for D1 or D2. All I remember are map hacks and shit to get items and rob players and stuff like that.

    Yes, but besides a few fuckups in e-gaming it hasn't been a big deal. And the fuckups are never that major. Hell, I've gone to "LANs" and played SC2. We joked about how we weren't actually LANing of course.

    Yeah I have that first version. It was fine at the time, but they intentionally made the actual screen darker so with the bright light it would appear 'normal'. Unfortunately after playing GBA on the DS which is super bright, I can't go back to the SP I love the Micro personally.

    The name hasn't evolved though the character certainly has. It's like "Superman." Just a simple to the point name that worked for its time. Or hell, a better example would be Captain Marvel. What a terrible fucking name.

    He only fights for what he believes is right though. You just can't get that for some reason. He goes against orders, commits treason, etc. It's not America he fights for but rather classic ideals of freedom and crap like that. It doesn't matter where you are from but that is something you can get behind.

    His character isn't nationalistic though. There's a huge difference between patriotism (which is good for anyone from any country) and nationalism (which is bad for all.) And no, he's not into killing. Not killing is part of his character. Though people obviously still die around him.
