  1. RPS can get awkward, too, but oh man they do have some awesome stuff. I think a lot of where RPS flops is their headlines. They just worry about that god damn headline too much!
  2. Are you a spambot? Edit: Not you, Rocky. You're more of a tl;dr bot. =p
  3. There's a Lovecraft title "In The Mountains of Madness." I'd say it's a direct tribute. For max enjoyment, I took everything as cheesy! Anyways, I liked it, but agreed that some of the scenes are just too damn long.
  4. Exactly. I really like the ribbon but I don't know how it'll work with explorer. It'll be one of those things I'm not sure about until I use it.
  5. Joystiq has the most awkward and unfunny writing ever. Anyways I go to Gawker for the non-trolling articles and just ignore the rest. I have multiple sites in my news reader so it's pretty easy to just skim over stuff and move on.
  6. I'm running FF8 without issues though after reading that posting I see how this is a huge problem and needs to be dealt with ASAP.
  7. Ditto. The positive of that will (hopefully) be a lower price for both.
  8. I think it's standard even for the low end. My Optimus V has a GPU
  9. Your phone acting funny is a reason you should root it!
  10. Ideally when I upgrade I want to get a nice set of cans that I can also use for music/on the go and then just get a mediocre mic. When you separate the two you seem to be able to get higher quality for less.
  11. None of that shit. PAX Also I have a code for the October beta on PC. Stoked.
  12. I liked the feel of CS: GO. I just didn't like playing it with a controller!
  13. PAX was awesome! Favorite swag? OnLive Console, CS: GO beta code, and a limited edition Ico shirt (printed on AA. Both nice AND rare.)

You left far too early. That Protomen show was fucking incredible. Anyway, I played against Mike Ross and Justin Wong, played some Skyward Sword, got an OnLive, too, met and talked to Mike and Jerry, went to the absolutely hilarious Blamimations panel, and played SFxT and UMvC3. Great day, two more great ones to come! Looking forward to the Make A Strip with Mike and Jerry tomorrow, as well as the Acquisitions, Inc. D&D game, plus JoCo, Paul and Storm and Supercommuter at night. Also,...

I didn't miss anything I wanted to see. Not into The Protomen. But that's cool that you got to play some awesome people.

Thanks :) I'm excited for tomorrow.

  14. I would compare this to SF4 vs SSF4. The argument that Capcom used for having to make SSF4 a new game was the fact that there are changes to the core of the game rather than just adding content. I think the same would apply for both of these studio's games. Especially Torchlight 2 and how feature packed that is compared to Torchlight 1. Anyways, they're not literally killing the game, so don't compare it to EA.
  15. That's simply not true. I've seen plenty of different price-schemes. It's only "AAA" games that hit at that value. I think the Wii is a great example of how much the pricing can vary.
  16. Both of these are games from studios who are really capable of doing a lot but with these games they didn't have the money for it. Torchlight 1 was basically a Torchlight 2 funding project. Your views on independent studios and what you expect from them are a bit unrealistic. The MNC studio is what, 7 dudes? I also don't get what you're saying about the PC version. It's the console version they're killing.
  17. It's a Jesus Diaz article bro. What did you expect?
  18. Holy shit. That is big. They're rumored to be doing a similar service (wait, or was it flat out confirmed?) This is just dirty.
  19. Pretty sure I'm waking up drunk. It's awesome.

  20. Have you been following this much? It had a lot of early and mid dev coverage so I remember seeing plenty of the game months and months ago and I was always really impressed. I remember it having a lot of features that will slow down the pace of the game instead of making it a frantic twitch fest. It all seemed very well done. Since then though I can't really remember any proper write-ups on the game. It'd be worth looking into. I think what i saw was from Game Informer mag scans.
  21. What do you mean doesn't go where you want him to? I had no issues of the sort you just have to get used to the momentum the game uses for the rails and stuff like that.
