  1. Yeeeah no, you're wrong. They really did suck. The second one appeared everyone would turn their fire on it and it'd go down almost instantly. No, you're wrong, my personal experience is different! Seriously though, with both the turrets, and the air drones, you have to use them at the right time and in the right places. You can't just plop them out.
  2. You guys just sucked at using your air drones =p They're not meant to be your weapon, they're meant to supplement what you're doing.
  3. Sony won my heart after a strong 360 start.
  4. more like "damn i actually have to read the whole review now instead of counting reds vs blues?"
  5. I just mentioned that I was pirating smartphone apps. =p Though I'll gladly buy swift key once I have a job again.
  6. As Showmeyomoves! pointed out black widow was in iron man comics. The shield stuff and other things are so minor (they're called easter eggs and cameos for a reason) that they don't change the movie. But of course it's more than just a credit scene, that doesn't suddenly make it an avengers preview. What ridiculous hyperbole. It's less than 5 minutes of content.
  7. Am I the only one who thinks PC gaming is possibly doing better than every except in terms of an "industry" perspective? It's easier to develop and release games these days. Indie titles are better than they've ever been. There just isn't any money in it for the big guys except Valve. To me it's like the music industry dying. I really don't give a shit if the big companies all go away as independent work will still exist. Work that's untainted by a board of executives and the quest for a dollar.
  8. they patched that in KZ2. I really hope this game isn't "casualized" and becomes a twitch fest. Yet to play it, but I like the fact that you move slow. It feels like the weight is realistic.
  9. I wasn't a fan of the default and swype wasn't very good on my shitty phone so I would recommend it. I got it for free though.
  10. Selling your car and getting a racing wheel for Gran Turismo? My mind is blown!
  11. Yes, standard Android keyboard has that feature, as does the iphone. I use swift key on android which does it even better and easier and adapts to the way you talk a lot better and allows for more mistakes. You can really fuck up some words and still end up auto correcting it properly. Also, most Android apps are free. It's something like 70/30 where iphone apps are the other way around.
  12. So you're not a fan of supporting Gamestop then? That's how I am. I like to support those who put in the work not those who wish to make money off someone else.
  13. I mentioned "this isn't about you" because we're on a message board and people are allowed to move discussion forwards rather than letting it die when people agree on something or when someone concedes. It was in response to you saying "but I didn't bring that up." I don't understand your hypocrisy statement. You seem to be talking in generalities and making vox populi statements when we're the type that isn't going to be so closed minded and typical. We're the ones that care way too much about this sort of thing so we're not going to have run of the mill opinions. It really doesn't matter how most people think. What matters is what the people on this discussion board think of these issues.
  14. I think the punishment is a ruined pace. The game becomes less fun and more tedious when you stop to heal so I actually view it as a motivator to do better.
  15. What does the Moon have to mine? Be very specific here. Is it something that we can't mine here? Something that's only in abundance on the moon? And most importantly, something we can actually use? Anyways, with the "usage of minds" comment, I'm saying that we should develop things here first and use them here rather than developing them for Mars first. Implementing them on Mars would be a whole another story.
  16. Yes, it is, however, besides legality, is there anything wrong with that? I like to think of "morality" when it comes to issues like this in terms of "effect on owner." If it's not released, and someone just rips it from the game, then it's not doing anything to the owner as there was no opportunity to make money off of them. If anything, it's good and free publicity, and gives people a stronger connection to the game (and thus, its sequels.) That was way too many commas. Problem is I never brought the morality of any kind of copyright infringement into the discussion. If we're talking legal, then both "real" piracy and ripping resources from a given work counts as copyright infringement, and thus are both a crime. Justifying yourself with "Yea, it's not legal, but I'm not hurting anyone as much as people downloading the whole thing" is kinda hypocritical. I could just as easily justify myself "I'm not hurting anyone by downloading Fallout New Vegas because I never would have bought the game in the first place and my copy didn't stop anyone from enjoying their legally purchased copy, thus no money gained or lost." This isn't about you. I'm bringing morality into this because this is a multi-faced issue. I already agreed that it's copyright infringement. You can't argue that. It's law. If that's "okay" or not is thus what should be discussed. I don't see how it's hypocritical. Especially when your example includes full games when we're talking about a game's soundtrack. Keep it consistent. Are we talking about parts of the game (an argument closer to sampling in music than downloading albums) or the games as a whole? The subject at hand is a specific portion of a game that isn't available to be purchased (when other games do have this available to be purchased.) Should people just not download the soundtrack when it isn't available to purchase? Simply because it's illegal? I really don't think so. If anything, disregarding legality, that the studio would be happy to have people enjoy their work and I already mentioned the institutional benefits of this. This is why musicians are typically in support of piracy. They lose the CD sale, and get the concert and t-shirt sale. Developers and publishers will get the sequel sale. The brand loyalty sale. Etc.

  18. Except that the resources required would all have to come from Earth in the first place not to mention all of the time and minds it would take away from handling problems down here. I have no problem with terraforming mars and things like that but it's not going to happen for hundreds of years and that's assuming we're even around for that long.
  19. Landmines and similar. I just get way too cocky with the proximity of them and how much damage they'll do.
  20. I think we should figure out the problems down here first before we even bother with another planet that isn't even habitable.
  21. These days it's often a compelling story that will do it to me. It's not content/doing things in the game, it's not the actual gameplay itself, but it's that feeling that I want to find out what's next that keeps me going. Most recently I think this explains why I finally finished The Witcher. I did 3-epilogue at a much faster rate than I play games these days (in terms of days/weeks spent to actually finish as I'm slow as hell now as I don't put in enough hours a week) and I loved every second of it. I would definitely keep coming back to it until 5 in the morning. The Witcher is a good example of the gameplay not driving it but the story as most of us know The Witcher's gameplay isn't the greatest thing ever. Not to mention how the content actually fills in and colors the world which not many games are good at though they attempt that with their sidequests.
  22. It's more so the wealth of knowledge that you would only get from getting take out so often that has me all =\
  23. It means failure of the senses or something similar.
