as someone who disliked the comic and hates michael cera i thought the movie was enjoyable. Not great by any means but it was what it was... and it was a mildly funny movie about a guy in unrealistic situations involving ex-gfs that involve video game references and anime style action.

I would just like to point out that Cole wasn't a stereotype. My point was that the character is loosely based off the voice actor. His personality and background are based off a real person. He isn't based off of any stereotype, he's based off a real person. You're the one saying they are stereotypes, which is negative. You don't think the casting is half the problem?
