Personally I just throw on some ambient or post-rock, maybe some IDM like The Flashbulb or Boards of Canada, and that always seems to work well. The music isn't distracting, they're interested in it because most of the time they don't know it, and it's not annoying. Though for women I was actually consistently seeing I could play whatever the hell I wanted. Black metal, skramz, anything. Half the time it was just to make it slightly less obvious to my roommates that we're having sex.

Does anyone else find this a bit sexist? You act like all women have the same taste. They don't. If your taste in music is so bad that it would drive women away from you then you should probably re-consider what you listen to. I listen to plenty of obscure, brutal, unpleasant for most people sort of shit, and it's never driven women away from me. I think in general the rules of "don't annoy someone with your music" apply to everyone and not just women. Just play something appropriate even if they don't know it. If they're into you then they won't care about the music much to begin with.

While we're on the topic of bass... This is another one of those guys who utilizes all of their fingers and only does fingerpicking. Though this guy also plays pedal steel on some songs.

What if you removed price from it? To me that's a metric that exists outside of the game. Price changes over time. Game quality does not. Personally, I never buy games right when they come out. No point with a fuckton huge Steam backlog. I'm not even through my PS3 backlog.

I'd rather play 3 hours of an amazing game than 30 hours of a mediocre one. These days, barely anybody does games of that length that are actualyl worth that much time to me.

That's true. Did anyone read the article about Windows Blue/8 Blue? They want to start moving to a yearly release cycle and then make apps (RT/Modern UI) not even work on the outdated version. Though it was mentioned that the upgrade will be cheap/free.

Does it matter? Sales are sales. The example they give even points out it's still a sale even if it's not being used.

I'm not a wino but an easy way to start is just trying different grapes and regions. Just like with beer you just need to experience a wide variety. You don't have to worry about food pairing just yet. Also with table wine you have mixed types of grapes and if you're actually ordering table wine somewhere they should damn well know how to recommend you something.
