  1. God knows. This just seems to me to gel far better with the American Pie brand than the inbetweeners one. It looks too polished, too rounded and not uncomfortable enough.
  2. If they wanted to make American Pie a TV show, then why not just make "American Pie the Series"? Why pretend it is like the inbetweeners?
  3. Didn't they just take out the Catalyst and give you the rainbows and unicorns ending?
  4. Pushy-downy coffee for me. French press? That's what I use. Not perfect, but better than a drip machine or instant. I'm pretty sure the technical term is "Pushy-downy" but I'm sure people will understand if you say "French Press" or "Caffettiera".
  5. That was incredible. It went off on such a bizarre tangent. What on earth is Ron Perlman doing appearing in misguided political films that can't even manage to borrow a boom mic?
  6. Hot, black and bitter as hell.
  7. I thought San Andreas was too big. I assume GTA:V will be bigger than that. I really just hope that Rockstar remember to make it fun this time, instead of going for technical excellence.
  8. Platinumed Uncharted: Golden Abyss on Friday. Now that is a thoroughly beat game.
  9. You can disagree without being combative. Edit: Also, I love the look of the gameplay changes. I'm still not entirely on board with just killing Red Coats all the time, would like them to show come Patriot controlled areas for balance, it can't all be under British rule can it? Overall, I do like the look of this game.
  10. I think this could have a significant impact. Each console is not just a games playing machine. It's also a software development kit which means that people will be able to make games that readily translate to consoles. It could be a great way for new "bedroom developers" to get noticed and have their games end up on XBLA or PSN. It could also see Android becoming a desktop OS. I assume there is nothing stopping people hooking up a mouse and keyboard to this and making email clients, word processors, spreadsheets, etc... Finally, this thing is cheap, and being android based already has a decent back-catalogue of games. I'm interested to see what the ecosystem looks like though.
  11. I've always considered "Hype" to be an abbreviation of hyperbole. To hype something is to exaggerate it. I've never seen it used as an adjective though, only in a verb sense. You hype a thing. A thing is not hype. (Unless you are misspelling "hip"). I assume megaton is erroneously used to mean massive just as lightyears are often misused as a unit of time "It was lightyears ahead of its time."
  12. That doesn't explain why the firmware wasn't ready for Plus (which is well over a year old) at launch.
  13. Apparently some Vita stuff is planned for Plus in the not too dim and distant. Why it was not ready at the get go I don't know.
  14. KZ3 is fun with the Sharpshooter if you own it (or if you borrowed it, legal ownership of the Sharpshooter is not part of the fun). Very much looking forward to Darksiders 2 and AC:L, however, I'll be getting AC:L via download. Still struggling to get into AC:R so AC3 is a wait and see title for me.
  15. Motorstorm RC is free on the Vita though. They sell tons of dlc for it. Wipeout HD is an older game and transferring the dlc i felt was a way to sell dlc and at the same time promote Wipeout 2048. Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 does a similar thing where dlc is usable on both PS3 and Vita versions. But that's an older game too. It came out on the PS, then on Vita. I just find it hard to believe that someday 2 brand spankin' new games will be bundled together for the cost of one. I just can't see it. Its a lost sale. Technically its the same game, but if people already do buy 2 versions of the same game, its going to be hard to go back to only buying one and getting both. Plus, the whole "same game should be played anywhere on anything because you bought it once" is a slippery slope I try not to get into. If that olive branch wants to be extended to us, I am all for it, but if its not I still understand why. It's only free in the Oosah. In the United States of Kingdom we have to pay for it. I totally get the reasons for selling the same thing twice, and for sure there are porting costs, possibly even separate development teams. But there are also a lot of shared resources and that should figure in the price. Like I say, don't necessarily need a BOGOF on Vita / PS3 games, but a heavily discounted bundle would be good. Edit: I'd note that I'm only talking about downloads here. I've not bought a retail game for Vita yet. I've done it all through PSN.
  16. Sony already do this with Motorstorm RC (buy one get both). With Wipeout 2048, people who already bought Wipeout HD and Fury on PS3 were able to download the HD and Fury packs for free. I'd not be averse to paying a little extra for a bundle. But really anything more than £5-£10 extra for both games is pushing it. A game's cost comes mostly from developing it, coding it, artists designers etc. Pushing the ones and zeros (or the physical boxes) is a tiny part of the cost. Buying the game should mean getting it everywhere, not just on one box.
  17. Nope. The normal PSN price. It's like bizarro world or something...
  18. Great to see Gravity Rush up there. I'm fine with the console port thing. I like the Vita being an extension of the PS3. I just wish they'd do a PS VIta + PS3 MGS bundle. I don't want to buy it twice. Or three times if you count the PS2 purchase.
  19. £9.99 on Steam, £8.79 on PSN. It's not supposed to work that way!
  20. Obviously all the usual, pay family debts stuff... I'd keep my job. Buy a small house with a garden close to work, a two bedroom flat near the sea (south coast, Poole or something) and a ~40' motor cruiser moored near the flat. I'd get an Audi R8, I'd take all my mates on holiday somewhere, perhaps yearly. Who knows? Generally I'd just enjoy living comfortably, without worrying about bills, and do my job until I got bored of it. I wouldn't go crazy and try to live some playboy lifestyle, it's just not my style.
  21. Dean does it. All the time. Mostly on purpose.
  22. It's not quite the same as saying "First" as saying first does not convey any opinion either way. You may hate the product or love it. At least saying Day One is shorthand for "Based on the content revealed here I am enthused enough about the product to commit to a purchase at the earliest opportunity."
  23. I know that it's not going to be a fundamental shift in the way it plays. I'm not asking for Assassin's Kart. I mean from 1 -> 2 there was a lot of depth added to the game. Missions were more varied and they dropped the formulaic go to town, pickpocket eavesdrop etc. Assassinate. Wash. Rinse. Repeat. Thing. Then from 2 -> ACB they added the recruiting and the noteriety. ACR doesn't feel like it has added anything new really. I like the idea of controlling zones, maybe they could take that idea further. Do away with the tower defence stuff, but have an Assassin controlled zone behave differently. Shops are cheaper, petty crimes like pickpocketing are more common, but beatings and killings are reduced or something.
