  1. It's an emerald, not a ruby. Otherwise, that would have been my choice.
  2. Ha! Good question... Final Attack + Revive would be nice, although Heal would be more topical.
  3. Was quite surprised to get the ok for an FF themed ring, and a rendition of Aerith's theme playing during the ceremony. It must be love.
  4. Got a new whip, not being delivered till July ish though. Also a bike.
  5. Completely agree. I get that there is an aversion to risk and that you remakes/masters are a way to mitigate that risk by polishing a successful formula and minimising costs, but it is artistically bankrupt to do so. Demon's Souls was good, as was FFVIIR. Things like the RE1,2 and 3 that update gameplay for modern tastes make sense. "Remaking" just to make something already pretty shiny even shinier just feels like a waste to me.
  6. Sekiro and Bloodborne aren't really that hard. Persistence will get you there in the end, especially with Bloodborne, since you can just grind souls till you are OP. Platformers on the other hand you can't brute-force, you have to get better.

I hate when a game has trophies like "Save three team mates from nearly but not quite dying, while they are carrying a pistol and a sniper rifle, you have an SMG, and the person shooting them is using a thermal scope, in one match." So not only do I have to be doing something correctly, but so does someone on my team, and someone on the other team, oh and it has to happen three times in a single match.

  10. I chose a pretty good time to rejoin, this long weekend has seen 5 twitch drop campaigns so I now have a veritable fleet of ships without having to do a lot of grinding for credits.
  11. It's weird, on paper it should have been well received. Solid story, some new mechanics (flying jackals and that), Jon Snow as the antagonist (when he was a thing). I just think that we got unlucky that the anti-space thing became the favoured opinion to have and it snowballed from there.
  12. I'm over 20 hours in. Found a habitable place now. Only has occasional boiling rain but otherwise is fine. Now I can get down to the busy work of crafting stuff in relative peace. (20hrs including my old save that is)
  13. I'm trying No Man's Sky again after ages. Things have changed a *lot*, it also feels like there are no hospitable planets like anywhere. I just want somewhere that isn't actively trying to murder me so I can set up a base.
  14. I don't get why people liked that game (the plot was utterly impenetrable) and yet hated Infinite Warfare which actually had a decent story (even if I feel like it borrowed rather heavily from Killzone, Helghast politics stuff).
  15. 1TB is miserly these days. CoD alone takes up circa 250GB. I don't get why Sony have not turned on the expansion slot yet. It's very frustrating.
  16. Booooo! Why!?! I *hate* this. The console has more fucking antennae than the entire fucking Apollo program but you still have to plug more shit in to connect some fucking headphones. Headphones which can be plugged into the fucking wireless controller and then don't need a dongle. It. Is. Maddening! Oh, thanks by the way. lol
  17. Does it require a dongle? I've asked different people a million times and never get a straight answer.
  18. Yes. I like the look of the controllers, but feel like the "tracked by the headset" was burying the lede somewhat, that's huge.
  19. I mean, from the sounds of it I wouldn't be able to access their stuff even if I did still want to support Bethesda. Like you though, I'm not really into their games. Dishonoured was ok, but not something that has me beating my chest and gnashing my teeth in despair.
  20. I've been playing "Fights in Tight Spaces" it's a turn based/card game with a John Wick (but when he doesn't have guns) sort of feel to it. It's a bit unforgiving, and the last mission is a bit tedious since it's just "same again, but baddies now have 4x HP", but other than that it is enjoyable.
  21. It's a weird one. MS can do what they want with their money obviously, and Bethesda can do what they want with their... company? Neither of them owe it to anyone to make the games available on a competing platform, but I understand the consumer dissatisfaction. If I was a platform owner I wouldn't buy the likes of Bethesda, Squeenix or whatever, as Ethan pointed out above, you don't *gain* anything since the games were already on your platform, you pick up the enormous tab of developing the games that you used to just collect free money from, and you have the consumer sentiment hit that devalues your brand and the acquired brand. Better to pick up smaller indie studios who have IP that is cheaper to develop, fresher ideas, and people tend to perceive as a more positive story.
  22. Came across a really annoying bug where a switch that was supposed to open a door that closes on a timer would "switch" but not actually *do* anything. Spent about an hour reposition stuff to see if I was supposed to put the the dome in different places before I gave up and googled the solution, then after seeing that I was doing what I was supposed to be doing, googled the bug. Had to restart the level and finally finished the game. That's the real problem with puzzle games that don't give you the remotest clue of what you are supposed to be doing, there is no way to know if the thing is actually broken. Anyway, it's done now. Not doing the time trial trophies, so it has been deleted from the hard-drive.
