  1. Would have to be a game I got a platinum in since I have to really love it to go to that level. In which case... Horizon, GoW, Jedi Fallen Order, Sekiro, Control, or Tsushima (excluding niche titles)... can't think of any others. Of which I would say Horizon since it was the one that surprised me most. Sekiro is a close second. It's rare that a game "clicks" for me like Sekiro did, but I ate it up!
  2. I can't remember the last game I actually bought... ? Oh, TLOU2 Ellie edition, but I got a code for that game too so ended up giving the discs to my sister lol.
  3. I want the digital one. I can't get over how fugly the disc one is...
  4. Like I said, it's not the lip-synching that jars. It's that it looks like PS3 level facial animation. The bottom half of the face moves realistically, the top half of the face looks like it has been botoxed. Compare to games like Horizon, Tsushima, TLOU, FFXV that have faces move realistically, the eyebrows/forehead move, the eyes blink etc. FFXVI looks like this:
  5. It wasn't even that the lip-synching was bad. It just looked like old tech. The lips moved, but the rest of the face didn't. Like when adverts do babies talking or whatever. I guess having come from TLOU2 and Tsushima, my expectations are higher for that stuff...
  6. The facial animations in the FF trailer were garbage (something I've noticed in FF7R too). The particle effects were very whizzy though... so there's that I guess? If it does play like FFXV then I'm ok with that. I think FFXII is in retrospect one of my favourite systems, I like that it is a sort of programming language.
  7. Stop which bit? Cops killing black people? Or white-washing murderous cops by using their victims' criminal history as justification?
  8. Thought the game looked interesting, but I seem to remember seeing a clip of the bosses and they were all just waifu pole dancers which seems a bit dull.
  9. I mean it's so primitive it's basically a cave painting.
  10. I got the OLED55B6 like 4-5 years back. It's great. Enjoy!
  11. Ghost of Tsushima - Platinumed. That was fun.
  12. I really didn't, it's not just the lack of Zelda, Ganon, the tri-force, the master sword. It's the stuff like the chain chomps and goombas randomly being in the game. It just feels like they were making an adventure game, chucked in a load of placeholder assets and then just decided that it was going to be a "Zelda" game so they could launch it.
  13. Yeah. Armour loadout would be great. Like three or four customisable renameable slots would be fine. I also have to switch my lid and mask when changing outfit.
  14. Oh yeah, the situational outfits are great. I still have my faves. Sakai for standoffs, traveller for well, travelling and ghost for fighting. But it's true, most games, even Horizon, I would get the "best armour" and stick with it, this incentivises switching (however, I would perhaps be less keen if the game wasn't utterly awesomely optimised. The menus are soooooo speedy!
  15. So many of the things Ghost of Tsushima does I would love to see become open world videogame tropes: The guiding wind. Love this instead of a 3D marker or constantly flipping back and forth from game to map. The "if you choose to be a stealth ninja you know it is "bad" because the weather gets worse, but other than that the game doesn't judge you for it." thing (same goes for not punishing you for bowling in and shouting for people to come fight you). The "press up to call the last few dudes in the camp to fight you, rather than running all the way to one end of the camp scouring it for enemies, and then realising the last guy you need to kill is back where you started" thing. Your horse can be summoned from any distance (*stares at Breath of the Wild*). When a mission says "Walk with [NPC]" and if you run, so does the NPC! When you get one of those pointless battles in the world and you rescue a villager, they tell you where a nearby camp/mission is, so those encounters are not pointless any more.
  16. Links Awakening - Switch It's barely a Legend of Zelda game. I score it meh out of ten.
  17. Especially Rockstar is guilty of this. Started with San Andreas.
  18. Hello. It me! Wanted to pop on here and see what others thought of TLoU2. In terms of game mechanics, it was all more of the same, which is fine. I think the only new thing was throwing ropes around (could be wrong there, idk). My only gripes mechanics wise were: 1. You can't drop a bottle/swap one for a brick. This is annoying and dumb and I'm sure you could do so in the first game. 2. It's annoying when your super hearing arbitrarily doesn't work so that you can get a scripted jump-scare in. Story wise, I hated Abby at first, but felt that she became more sympathetic as the game progressed. Yes she started it (although Joel really started it if we want to get down to it), but I think her reasons were good, based on her own morality.
  19. I hate you Hotty... ;)image.png.c24cbfb618b8a5c51b123aa4770e911b.png

      Did you like it?

    4. Hot Heart

Yeah, I liked it a lot. Or I guess I should say I liked 4/5 of it. The last bit drags and I'm not sold on the ending/framing but interested to see where it goes.

  20. I beated Into The Breach in so far as I got to the credits on Easy. Can definitely see this being my go to conference-call game.
  21. Overcooked! 2 Played through this with the gf on the Switch. Three-starred everything, but I think we'll need extra people for four stars. Fun game though.
  22. Did whatever a spider does. Good game, good story, good ending, can't be arsed with taskmaster's timed bollocks though.
